Whenever he turns up in those early to mid 90s Premier League Years he always steals the show. Sitting in the wrong dugout. Ranting at Richard Keys from a MASSIVE screen. Saving various obsolete midlands outfits from relegation.

Stone was 24 at this time??? Fucking hell.
Ron Atkinson is my 90s commentator. Synonymous with United in the Champions League.
Finished reading Wayne Barton's book about United in the 80s as well and he was unlucky to not be the man to win United the league a few times.
England were terrible first half in that game then better as the game went on. Great pens. Gazza was well past his best already in 96.
He was fair hefty, much more than I remember.
Gascoigne, not Ron Atkinson.
Just saw Dortmund-Bayern is on Tuesday at 17:30. Already starting to lose interest in the league but at least that will keep me hooked for 2 hours.
Sunday 24 May: France vs Netherlands quarter-final - 3pm - ITV Hub
That's the one.
Can you tell us anything about it, Mystic Ian?
I'm watching the Big Ron documentary now. Jesus. It's like a lost Brass Eye episode.
I saw it the other day. Properly bizarre and I don’t know what anyone involved was thinking.
Lovely free kick from Lowen for Augsburg there.
I think the angle was, "Ron wants to defend himself so let's watching him dig." And dig he did.
This Schalke side are fucking dreadful.
David Wagner's solution is to just keep sending on unproven teenagers.
How are they still in a race for a Europa League spot*?
*well aware there maybe no european football for a few months/years
1 win in 9 for Schalke
Wagner must be quite literally the worst manager I've ever seen.
This should be a goalfest.
Game earlier in the season finished 8-0 to Leipzig and the last time they played at Mainz's ground it was 3-3.
Depends what you're after. A lot of it's in Paul's own words but you don't really get many revelations. The drinking's kinda glossed over in favour of sticking to the good football. You don't get anything from his post-Rangers / Euro 96 days which is where his career limped to a finish. No mention of Jimmy Five Bellies either.
Had money on over 2.5 & both teams to score as well as a little bit on over 5.5 goals.
Keep them coming lads.
Leipzig are great to watch.
That was fucking naughty.
The "You both included" bit
How is that offside?
Yeah, that’s worse than the Everton/Man Utd one. Leipzig aren’t even arsed.
Seems like the young shop-window Germans are playing for those big-money moves since the league started up again.
Koln just had a penalty saved and then two players got in the way of the rebound. Heh.
And that's a great finish from Thommy.
What scenes in the late game.
Koln scored in the 88th and 91st minute to secure a draw.
No fans, don’t care. Might as well be pre season.
Yeah but people need to bet on them throw ins, man.
Unfortunately I’d say that’s the biggest reason.
Monday 25 May: Germany vs Croatia quarter-final - 3pm - ITV Hub
I'm hoping to see a goal today after the first two quarter finals ended in 0-0s and penalty victories (for ENGLAND and France). The winners of this fixture will have a renewed England to face. The English will be hoping it's not the Germans... I'm hoping for a Boban masterclass.
I've just caught up on Germany v Italy. Zola was miserable.
Is the England game worth a watch?
It was a better game than I'd been led to believe and not quite the one-way traffic I understood it to be either but Spain were definitely robbed.
Yeah agree with that. Spain dominated the first half and should have had a goal if it wasn't for the Russian linesman. The rest of the game was classic England scrappy without quality.
That's fucking bananas.
What the fuck?
Unless it's a deep, deep in joke of some kind then they should be closed down.
He's currently winning the vote.
I wonder if they'd actually let him go should he lose though.
I voted to keep him. Go on Stretch.
Gascoigne a passenger in that first half. Him and Platt in the middle of the park is bonkers.
The performance of Stuart Pearce is one of the best I've seen in an England shirt. Didn't put a foot wrong all game and his penalty was a belter.
Was that the one he got famous for gurning after?
Indeed.
I've talked myself into watching France v Netherlands.
I'm going to watch Germany - Croatia and Czech Republic - Portugal double whammy.
Unless the schedule is just wrong again it looks like England / Germany is on on Thursday as it's the one listed for ITV4 as well.
Can't wait.
