Did a 20k on Saturday at 4’58”/km pace in a total of 1:39:36. 192m elevation gain too, so it was a hilly enough route. Quite pleased with that.

Did the same route again today at 5’07”/km pace in a total 1:42:24. In hindsight I should have given myself another day to recover as I could definitely feel it in my legs.

Have a nice 25k route lined up that I’ll be aiming to do in a few weeks hopefully.

Meanwhile the lump on my repaired ACL knee is still present. It’s been there constantly for 4 months now. Doesn’t seem to have any effect on my running though.

I'm finding I need a rest day recently, but my run lengths have increased and I'm doing more undulating runs.

12km in 53 minutes this morning, but again pretty hilly. I haven't got much motivation for my 5k virtual races.

    Boom.

We've got one guy on our team who is knocking out 17 minute 5ks. He's just ridiculously fast at distance.

I'd like to get back on the track and hopefully get some consistent 18 minutes in, but I'm not sure about going much quicker than that.

The lockdown and no football has probably helped with my running in terms of endurance more than anything else.

Last 10k was horrific. Nearly came off at 80ish trying to weave out of the cycle track into the car park, but only fumbled a bit and looked like a mong. Head was fully gone by that point, then the mild adrenaline rush carried me for a bit before it disappeared and I was in tatters. Makes me question whether I'd win SAS: Who Dares Wins, but with a few more months of training I reckon it's mine.

What's Jersey like for changes in altitude? Is it hilly or flat? I know it says 129m on the app but this thick bugger has no context for that.

Well I'm assuming the 114 km/h was clocked coming down a fairly serious hill. Or, more likely, the app is guff.

If he's done 70mph on a bike then fair play, I would have abdicated my breakfast long before that point.

Bike speed record is 183mph apparently, that's a solid effort.

Are there no restrictions on distance for exercise there then? Though, cyclists are the only ones breaking it here too.

Try following up a 100k bike ride with a half marathon run and then you might have a chance.

Very hilly. Obviously you can avoid them, but that limits your routes significantly.

The app must have glitched. Going at that speed wouldn't be worth the potential brain damage. I guess I might have approached 40 going down some hills but it's difficult to compare with car travel.

It's four hours at the moment, but likely to be eased up again this week to as long as you want. We've had no new cases for like five days now and there's only about 100 active cases, but we've just built a temporary hospital so might as well get some use out of it.

Ah right yeah, a time limit is probably a better idea than a distance. You are supposed to stay within 2km of your home here with no time limit.

Boris and other ministers said so on TV but I'm not sure whether it was actually in the written rules, such as they are.

It's not a written rule. It's a "reasonable amount of time" which means you can go for as long as you want in reality. If you can run a marathon all power to you.

They do state minimise time outside, though, so anyone doing more than a reasonable amount of exercise is basically being the same sort of cunt as those who sit 2m apart having beers in the park and anything more than an hour is most definitely beyond 'reasonable'.

    You what?

"Even when doing these activities, you should be minimising time spent away from the home and ensuring that you are two metres apart from anyone outside of your household."

There's no shame in breaking the rules, welcome Neo. Just don't want people to start preaching about those working class conga street parties whilst thinking their 4 hour bike rides they're receiving kudos for from all their buddies is well within guidelines.

We're on six hours for any activity and up to 5 people from outside your home as of tomorrow, plus restaurants and shops opening. 4 hours was already the end of lockdown for most, at 6 they really might as well just say do what you want.

Just did an hours walk in the opposite direction to work. What I discovered is, once I'm out of the village there is two miles worth of fields and farms until the next village. Lovely.

Walked 10.5 miles today, really enjoyable again. I've walked 80 miles in the last two weeks. Tomorrow I am going to attempt 13 miles.

I think I'll miss the walking more than anything else when I go back to work.

Lost another 2lbs this week as well.

I assume you're losing far more than 2lbs from the walks alone, right? 10 miles usually results in about 1.5kg weight loss for me which was an eye-opener.

I've been walking every day and eating well for about 10 days, and although I still appear a porky bastard, I honestly haven't felt so well in months/years. I'm too scared to start weighing myself and get into a stats fest, but there must be progress on the cards.

I weighed myself today before and after my walk (13 miles in 3h 15m) and I was a tiny bit lighter but nothing close to 1.5kg. I didn't drink anything while out walking either.

Did a brisk 11 miler this morning scouting out a route for a possible 18 miles next weekend, and feel like I've actually discovered the elixir of life. Laughing so hard at myself for all those times I tried running, gym etc.

Some people are runners, some are cyclists, some lift weights... I'm a wanker. Sorry, walker.

People learn to run though. Walking's awesome mind; we found a new trail on Friday morning, and discovered one of the 'lost' bridges of Leeds.

I've run 25k over the weekend. Yesterday I randomly bumped into an old university mate whilst out. He is literally the only person I know who lives in the area I was running.

I've had a bout of extensor tendonitis for last couple days, basically tendons on top of foot are inflamed and causing a bit of bother so have had to rest it yesterday and today. Yesterday I was getting pissed up but it's pretty annoying having to stay indoors today in this weather. The worst is I did it by doing my splits attempts on my wooden floor and then exasperated it by tying my laces too tight

I'm really interested to see how far I can actually walk, I've got till the 26th when I go back to work to push it.

Might try and aim for 15-20 miles this week, I think anything past thay is asking for trouble with my dodgy hip.

I'm good from ankles up, the problem I've had is foot blisters which I put down to my dreadful sock game. Got some proper ones coming this week. This is where it all starts.

I'd love to know how far I can walk too. Mental strength is not a problem, physical destruction might be. I'd love to attempt a marathon, in the end. Long way off it at present though.

I need to research on whether some sort of stretching interludes are recommended. It's clear at a certain point certain specific muscles become cramped up because if I do a simple squat after about 10 miles it feels like getting a blowie from the finest pornstar in the business. To really maximise our distance may need us to go down and ask our nearest neighbour to stretch us like we're an anti-football side in ET. *cue Diego Llorente memes*
