It’s fucked.
It’s fucked.
I know I don't post in here but just clicked anyway and this is the only post i saw and thought... 2020 so far:
Aw, you’re still sore you had to scurry off the other day.
I was just laughing at opening a new page of a thread I have absolutely no context for and the only post on view were the words 'It's fucked'. It could have been literally anybody.
Chill out. Enjoy yourself.
That must have been some hardy yeast.
My NEIPA has hit 1.010, which will make it just about acceptable and nose it over 3%. Still not going to be great though and I can't figure out why it started at 1.034 so I may dry hop the fuck out of it.
Is that a partial kit? Need to decide what to order when I get paid next week. Haven't done an IPA or anything like it so far.
I realise I didn't answer your question on the other page, a vinator is usually orange/red, essentially a bowl with a springloaded nozzle pump in the middle so you pump the chem san etc into the bottle coating it, the excess runs back into the vinator so you can quickly and easily sanitize a load on bottling day.
Just did an order from Belgium In A Box.
Big heap of Belgian stouts and porters, mostly 8%+ and working out at about £3.50 a bottle including delivery.
I am interested in going all grain at some point as everyone says it tastes so much better but it's a lot more faff or so it seems. I do like the idea of making my own recipe stuff though.
From everything I’ve done and read focusing on the yeast will bring big improvements and can even improve a kit massively. If you don’t do a proper starter then even all-grain won’t be wonderful. Just pitching will be the biggest problem with this NEIPA but I can never find a stir plate at a good price.
I’ve even seen better results by letting the yeast bloom on some water for half an hour before pitching though.
CAMRA have put out an app called Brew2You that lets you see which breweries (provided they've signed up) will deliver to your area. A couple on there I know I like and wouldn't have thought to check which is pretty nifty.
Ordered some cocktails from https://www.calloohcallaybar.com/drinks-delivery
The dry vodka martini is absolutely potent.
The 'VE Package' from that place might be the least value thing I've ever seen being sold. Fifteen quid for cucumber sandwiches and a half bottle of Pimm's.
It's what the soldiers died for.
Rascals Froots and the Maytals is surprisingly not horrendous. It’s lovely actually, great summer one.
forgot how drinkable i find white wine. as long as it's been refrigerated.
Well yeah, warm white wine is just largely wrong.
I guzzle red wine.
i used to love red wine but these days i can feel the hangover before i've even opened the bottle
I could come around to Zoom beers.
Jokes on you, we had a top class chatterbate sesh last night.
Not that I would do that to Spikey. No connection problems there.
My Beerhawk order came earlier than I expected so that sorted me out for last night. Nothing exciting or new to me in there but good stuff all the same.
Brewdog have free delivery and 10% off with WELCOME10 code this weekend.

Local place got in a range of Lervig. Never had it before but I think it’s Norwegian, anyone ever have it?
Yeah their delivery is taking a little while just now but that's not a bad deal.
Yes and they're excellent. What ones have they got?
I've had a bunch of them and there's not a duffer among them, the stouts have been particularly excellent but if you can see the list of their stock I may be able to specifically recommend a few.

It’s pretty much this https://craftcentral.ie/collections/lervig
Though one of the ones I picked up isn’t there (I just grabbed a couple to try). The other I got was the 3 bean stout.
The Toasted Maple Stout is excellent as is the 3 Bean Stout which you've got.
I first had that draft in a bar in Valencia and I'd have been just happy sitting there blowing all my Euros on that.
Franconian Haze was the other one. It’s fucking vile, but it’s probably the style more than anything.
Bought a load of craft ale from Aldi today, hopefully decent.
Ordered 4 x Punk IPA, Elvis Juice, Clockwork Tangerine and something called Prototype Tropical NEIPA for £22.32

Dunkertons Black Fox organic cider. Five bottles probably leads to blindness.
Forgot my latest delivery had a Siren Broken Dream in it.
That sounds very dangerous.
See you in the morning Giggs.
Brown ales at 8am.
That Roaster Coaster stuff I mentioned last page was great, I've bought another twelve with my shopping today.
This is absolute magic.

Session IPA’s are getting so good these days. I’ve just had a 3.8% and a 3.3% which are outstanding, especially the latter.
