Lidl has loved this. Having no tills open and expecting everyone to wait an hour to use the self-service shits is their dream scenario.

I received an email from someone asking for permission to reopen his car wash.
Not sure why he sent it to me.![]()
I'm a twit
Have you let him?
Clean my own car? Fuck off lad.
Baz trying to put people out of jobs.![]()
I'm genuinely losing track of days at this point. How far along are we into the second round of lockdown?
Just finishing week 2. Week 3 starts Monday.
I counted the days at 5.30am this morning when I woke up. This is day 1 of May, day 39 of lockdown, and day 51 since I last saw friends/family.
Lidl have no interest in whether you live or die.
My kind of shopping experience.
Loads of traffic on the roads today.
I thought that on my mooch, but I put it down to people maybe not wanting to chance walking to the shops in the on/off rain.
122K tests yesterday. Fucking smashed the cisgender vegan cunts all over the gaff![]()
Aint no way all of them are reliable
They changed how they were recording the number of tests to hit the target from what I read.
It's 122k tests on 73k people.
Which isn't what they said originally (100k people) and shows how horribly unreliable these shitty tests are.
Which dickheads are having multiple tests?
If you have a good setup it's fine but I once tried with a knackered power washer and ended up piss wet through with a car not much cleaner having wasted 45 minutes of my life, a car wash 2 minutes drive away.
Regarding tests isn't it Serco administrating a load of self tests that apparently wont be effective because people wont do them right?
We have a woman who was booted out the office earlier in the week for displaying a symptom. Annoyingly, she's been advised to isolate for 7 days and I gather she's not been advised to like ... book a test.
We were initially told the tests were only about 70% sensitive so to expect a lot of false negatives, but our lab put out an update yesterday saying ours have been more like 95% sensitive and specific which is reassuring. We've only had one kid in paeds who's been retested because of a negative first test but high clinical suspicion who's been positive on the second test.
I do wonder if some of the initial false negatives were down to people taking the swabs poorly who weren't used to doing it. You have to really get in there.

The self-testing kits will probably have plenty not doing it right.
That’s us anyway.
I’ve done 3 self test kits now and they reckon they’re 90% but that’s from the manufacturer.
I was just in Asda, and some idiot in a mask leaned all over me to grab something off a shelf I was in front of. That theory about masks just emboldening spastics might have something in it.
I was in an off-license a couple of days ago, and encountered a fully masked up pisshead.
I'd have found it funny, if he hadn't taken what seemed like half an hour weighing up a Ritz cracker purchase, in an aisle about two-feet wide, the twat.
In a way one has to have grudging respect for the brazenness of Gideon's twitter output these days.
If anything, the death reporting and extra testing just shows how far we have to go.
I was more concerned by the way that he made it seem like an award ceremony tonight. Thanking all the companies that helped him get there and everything.
These daily updates need to fuck off anyway. It's the same questions and answers every day.
That Labour bench is like a busted flush XI. Another top moment was when he gave that speech for I think the Spectator and he joked about the 'Sarkozy box' (to no laughter) behind the lectern. It has vanished from YouTube, so he probably had GCQH take it down as one of his last acts in government.
I seem to remember Sarkozy losing his shit about that as well, or at least other French people doing so on his behalf.
If my bathroom is apparently leaking into the ceiling of my dining room that is an essential repair surely? Need to get someone out, gonna be a rip out the shower tray job.
Why are you having to take so many tests?
For work. Can’t have a case being traced back to some facilities or they’d be in danger of shutting down. That said, with the incubation period it’s only really a box ticking exercise.
How often do you have to take them? Is it a legal or a company requirement?
Requirement from two companies that I’m working in to take a test to be allowed on the premises once the result comes back. They’ve been about 5 days apart with the first and most recent from the same place. Also had to sign that I won’t travel outside the country (as if), won’t work in other facilities that have 100+ staff on site (some of our other guys can cover that), and am following restriction guidelines in my personal time.
One is completed now anyway and the other is awaiting final sign off next week so I won’t be taking more unless there’s issues.
You'd have a job even getting the test over here.
