Does having songs stuck in your head count? If so:
Also yes if you're listening to it in your head it certainly counts as well.
Whatever part of the brain controls that is definitely a bit broken in me and leads to odd, unprompted gear changes in what I've got in my head so this could get interesting.
That Angel Olson sound is alright.
Christ, Bruh doesn't half listen to some shite.
Didn't we used to have audio sessions on the old forum where you could share files together and listen to each other music sessions?
Yeah they were decent. I think angeldust used to do them.
Me and @John used to take over the late night ones and turn them into micro-raves.
Boys Noize got heavy airplay in those.
Obsessed with this album right now.
Irish folk, the world's most beautiful form of whingeing.
she aaasked me my naaaame
and i tooold her it's GYPTIAN!!!
If you don't listen to the extended version you're really cheating yourself.
@Jim, do you like Wire? I feel like you would, rightly or wrongly.
I still can't quite believe Outdoor Miner was made in 1978.
Not heard them before, but I like those two tracks. The first one as you say is about 25 years ahead of its time (although as it goes on I also get certain Blur/Britpop vibes from it, which would make it a mere 15 years ahead of its time). I cannot hear any of 1978 in it, which is impressive. The second one is just a nice tight version of what many were doing in the early 80s. With the bouncing slap bass underneath and jangling guitar on top, it's quite Smithsy in a way.
Been feeling drill a lot recently. It used to all sound annoyingly similar, but it seems to match my mood at the moment so I've moved to the stage of appreciating all the intricacies.
Take that Risk from CB was a banger. Drill music in general is too hard to listen to at work.
Hadn't heard that. Does bang.
I quite like it at work, although I like it anywhere right now so ye.
Andrew Weatherall died today which is very fucking shit.
what a fucking tune
J Hus is a nutjob but I can't get enough of him at the moment.
Mock flannery the depressing class cunt.
Discovered this chap today. Pretty special.
Thanks, I love that. I've become besotted with open-tuned guitar songs of late and that sounds like one.
Real Antony Hegarty vibe from his voice in the opening there. That's great.
That's lovely.
There's a new Mountain Goats album out which is a discovered tape of lo-fi old stuff, which is pretty immense. New Dylan track too.

Got access to an old Spotify account and it's been throwing some nice 'walking aimlessly in a direction' stuff my way.
