The picture made me lol. I've had it for over three years now which must be a record for me. My favourite ever avatar was my TR one of James with a moustache, but that must have died with whatever was left of the place.
I used to open a thread in the build up to New Year running a poll for people to vote on which Ian should be my avatar for the year (from a selection I'd put up to avoid the obvious votes for Watkins, Huntley, etc.)

But according to this thread a) I'd run it each of the three years before that and b) the previous winner had been Ian Hislop. If this has been my fourth I honestly can't remember who else I had. But out of a combination of laziness and thinking it'd be hard to improve upon the good doctor Malcolm I haven't changed it in ages.
That second thread also reminded me that's when Benny / Mr Chorizo revealed he'd been slowly updating his Ainsley Harriott avatar with more zoomed in ones to see if anybody noticed.
