At least 100 back packers caught the bug so no doubt the numbers must be 10 times that at least. I actually think Sydney needs to be on a higher level than the rest of the country. We are 2 they probably deserve a 3.
The first load of cruise ship people in forced isolation claim they are being kept in prison like conditions which makes me lol a lot.

The state recorded 70 more cases of coronavirus overnight, bringing its total to 625, with three people in intensive care and 45,000 testedAbsolutely no need to put Queensland in a level 4 lockdown.Queensland police said the community should expect an increased number of officers checking on people under public health directions and taking action against those who did not comply.
They warned those who failed to abide by quarantine directions would face penalties of up to $13,345 for individuals and $66,672.50 for corporations.

He (and his wife) was my GP before I moved. They were nice as well.
51 Italian doctors dead so far.
RIP RL.
Why do doctors and medical staff seem to die more? Is that just skewed reporting or is it because of exhaustion or what.
They must get virus loaded into them like grain into a silo.
Think about the conditions they work under. They pick this up, continue to work with barely any sleep in a high stress situation. Unless they're taken off the front line, they have no chance to recover.
They're just pussies.
It's the viral load they get from being surrounded by it.
It'll be exhaustion not some mega virus.
That too, but the load is critical:

Bet RL is choking for a high viral load to be dumped down his throat.
Two things:
The chonkers are lying MASSIVELY about their death toll.
European countries are counting deaths from Corona as those who tested positive but would have died anyway from something else.
I've been watching a junior doctor's Vlogs on youtube and he mentioned something iffy. A couple of days back he was working the Covid ward. He's now back on a normal ward. That's risky, right?
I keep hearing this line that the Chinese are lying about their deaths without any evidence at all, besides the fact that they're the CCP. It might just be the case that China did a relatively good job in dealing with the virus, in contrast to the Western world, which I know is quite difficult for people to admit

This is quite interesting. Everyone's been busy clap emoji-ing their approach along with South Korea but it looks like they've properly fucked it. 25000 tested in total lol.
I thought Tokyo on this was a bit of an eyebrow raiser when I saw it earlier in the week, looks like they've not really bothered doing anything.
They turned off free movement. But properly.
We also don't know what measures they were taking during that six week spell before they admitted there was an outbreak. They could've been clamping down much sooner than the official lockdown of Wuhan.
You have seen some of the housing in China? Where people are crammed much more tightly than over here. No chance they aren't hiding massive numbers.
Social distancing as a term needs to completely fuck off.
If it was tearing up Shangahi, Beijing, Guangzhou etc, we would know about it regardless of what the commies said.
Hubei did get absolutely rinsed by it for a period and Hubei does have a population of 58.5 million (akin to a large European country such as us, France or Italy), so it's not like they kept it contained in Daventry. If their deaths there were 50,000 instead of the 3,000 claimed it wouldn't be that much of a stretch. It might be possible that by locking down Hubei and keeping it in there, they have merely delayed its arrival in other provinces rather than killing it.
What is "Chinese style"? Think you give them too much credit. They're belligerent, stupid humans like the rest of us.
One of my neighbours just went round leaving chocolate on everyone's doorstep. Kind gesture or infection attempt, you decide.
My suspicion is they left people in their homes to die.
Ive never dreamed of a nice cold pint more so than I am right now. Fuck
We had a few drinks and a takeaway with the brother and sister in law last night via Zoom. It worked quite well, really. In a way it was better as there was none of that awkward “we’re knackered now how early can we leave without appearing rude” nonsense.
Agree with that. I'm logging off zoom is much easier than waiting for people to leave.
The perfect time to avoid inlaws and you're setting up conference calls. Come on lad.
It's a very very slippery slope when you start comparing that shit favourably to actual human contact.
Those Danes are working

There’s not much choice until the summer at the earliest.
It will be glorious if we get to the point that people we like seeing (and us) have had it so we can do some things as normal.
I had a pub session on Zoom last night and while it wasn't as bad as I expected it sure as shit is no substitute for the real thing.
Yeah it won’t replicate the pub experience. If you’re just going around somebody’s house eating, drinking and chatting then you’re not losing too much though. It’s not a way of living forever but it will get us through the next however many months.
