Ruiz was absolute shit. Clearly carrying far too much weight.

It's professional boxing, not having a scrap in the street.
He probably showed him too much respect, but he didn't show him enough last time and this was the sure fire way to win. If you can actually box you don't need to make it a scrap. Fight to your own strengths.
It's a shame Ruiz couldn't come out on top again just to give his reign a bit more legitimacy. It never hurts to have another face in the division, too.
Calculated performance from AJ. He picked a great strategy. His inability to trade on the inside though is worrying. He does nothing that convinces me he beats wilder or fury.
Wilder walks through him in my estimation.
Wilder can't box, Joshua can't really take a shot all that well. Can Wilder? It'd be interesting to see who's short-comings win out.
Fury probably lols them both to death in a boring points shitfest.
Wilder lost every round in his last fight. Avoid getting knocked out and anyone decent beats him.
He losses most round in most fights and still finds the right time to clip his opponent. The best defensive fighter in fury got clipped twice. AJ lunch resistance isnt that great and he gets touched in most of his elite fights. Pov was hitting him with right hands on a consistent basis.
As an alternative take, Fury straight out of the pub probably beat him.
Its Wilder vs Fury 2 this weekend. First fight was great. I picked Wilder and i thought Fury won. Im going with Fury on this one, I can given how he rose from the dead once. I dont think he will get touched this time
Too close to call. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint. I'd like Fury to get back on the perch.
Ruiz let himself down by only doing the 'fucking come at me' motions 15 seconds away from the final round bell.
Call him out earlier if you're not terrified of getting owned.
edit: Just realised the posts above are months old. Point still stands.
I am sitting here watching a Deontay Wilder knockout compilation, and is it fair to suggest that his power is a bit overrated? He can obviously whack people, but it seems to me that it is more the case that he is simply lanky enough to throw decent shots over/through defensive positions at a safe distance than he is able to generate freakish Mike Tyson/George Foreman standing force. I suspect if you measured it it would be relatively normal.
Is it on tomorrow? My new boss starts Monday so I can't stay up if it's Sunday night.
That one that decked Michael Moorer was like some weird playful jab.
I would have considered sitting up and finding a stream such is THE HYPE and then I saw it'd be starting at 4am or something so fuck that.
Is Wilder as much of a one-trick pony who isn't actually that good at boxing as some of the stuff I've seen would lead me to believe? it makes it sound like he just does enough to stay out of harms way until he lands one brutish hit.
He won't outbox anyone good. Ortiz made Wilder look daft for seven rounds until he finally landed one on Ortiz' forehead and killed him.
So what's your prediction for this one?
Would he beat Joshua?
I fancy Fury to do him on points. I think they both beat Joshua.
The fact that wilder, in nearly every fight loses round after round and still ends up with his arm being raised and his opponent on the canvas. Make him even more dangerous. I think Fury can pull it off though this time. Wilder is a freak though. At this point, AJ seems the weakest of the three.
Weigh in
Fury 273
Wilder 231
Mental victory.
It seems mad to me that this is starting at 4am. Is coverage outside the US just completely ignored within boxing? I presume it's not because they give a shit about the Asian market.
Is there an Asian market?
/shooting range
But yeah, I bet 95% of the money comes from the US, 4% the UK and the rest of the world makes up the remaining 1% on a fight like this.

UK just doesn't really do PPV buys.
Joshua/Ruiz started at like 9pm UK time as well so it's prime viewing time.
Compared to America:
https://www.businessinsider.com/the-...on-ppv-buys-54 (doesn't include McGregor's last fight for the UFC with the event getting around 2m buys).
Plus the Americans are being charged like $75 or something when over here it's £15/£20.
1.6m is pretty respectable considering the US's best effort, with 5 or 6 times our population, is only 4.5m.
They can market boxing to the yanks a lot more. I mean, the US tends to pack the division, often leading it.
As if the rappers and film stars are going to turn out for the Chinese timezone as well.
Staying up? Getting up early.
America is so, so much more capitalist than here and sometimes I think a lot of people don't realise it. Their sports only exist to make money, whereas ours would carry on perfectly well in some form even if you took all the money away.
Late afternoon down here for most combat sports is such a monthly treat.
Fight starts at 3pm local
You can't really lose after this entrance.
That 'You big dosser' chant.
How fucking good is this!
Wilder looks like a competition winner up to now.
Fury is fighting an amazing fight.
They really had no other choice but to throw the tail in really.
I think you could make the case for the coach stopping that, but the referee has stepped in prematurely.
EDIT: Oh they chucked the towel in.
I wss wrong. Fury didnt givr a fuck sbout wilders power. Walked straight through him and domianted from start to finish. Perfect gameplan.
Does Fury beat AJ?
Fury's story is so good for the mentals.
