I like the idea but I'm 4 episodes in and I'm having to make myself watch it.

They had a crossover in Flash which was continued into Arrow this week.

Which in turn was all in the name of setting up Legends of Tomorrow. I think it's getting to the point where you have to be watching them all now, as I can imagine just watching Arrow would have been confusing as shit this week.

I'm not sure what I think about all the new characters really. At least Hawkgirl has an undeniably great pair though. Probably be worth tuning in to Legends of Tomorrow just to see her and Sara Lance try to out-do each other in the chest department on a weekly basis.

I really hate nearly all of "Team Arrow" now. It was much more fun when it was just Oliver and it was a bit darker, rather than this pretty camp collective of wise-cracking costumed smart-arses. Everytime Laurel does the "Canary Cry" I think about turning it off and never watching it again. It's just some sort of sonic device Cisco made for her isn't it? Why does she have to actually scream? I don't care if it's faithful to the comics. That face she makes when she does it makes me cringe every time.

Still, at least Malcolm Merlyn is getting more screen time. What a lad he is.

Yeah, it's a sonic device that Cisco made.

Although it goes around the neck (dog collar type because they're kinky) so I guess her screaming might set it off or she just wants the baddies to think it's her scream.

Another show? With more super heros and their magic powers? I'm out.

I honestly didn't have a clue what was going on this episode. Such nonsense.

Any good newish comedies I might not have seen? Or even older ones?

I feel like I've seen almost everything good at the moment and writers really aren't keeping up with their weekly output well enough.

Saw an ad during the football for a show called Colony featuring Sawyer from Lost looking for his son (I've got my fingers crossed that he's called Walt) that looked interesting.

Is that the one with Aziz Ansari? Just spotted that about ten minutes ago on Netflix. Will be giving it a bash.

Definitely be giving that a go just now. Think I'm going to have a look at Daredevil tonight. I've got about 9 episodes of Walking Dead sitting waiting for me but I'm struggling to build up the motivation to start. Without spoilers, hence me asking here and not in the thread, how has this season been?

Also, on the subject of Arrow, "Team Arrow" annoy me less than they did but the big improvement (Laurel's scream being shit aside) is the action in general from people who aren't Oliver or Diggle. The bit in the last (UK) episode where all of them were in the place battering all the goons was pretty good.

Four episodes into The Man in the High Castle and whilst the lead actress/character is intensely annoying and shouldn't be there, otherwise it's just my sort of thing. The Nazis and Japanese are both quality sets of characters.

Ended up watching five episodes of Daredevil yesterday. Enjoying it very much. I'm glad they haven't a) gone for the wanky special effects showing his 'powers' or b) tried to make Kingpin the same shape and size as he is in the comics and ended up making it look daft.

I hadn't really even questioned whether it was part of the 'cinematic universe' until one of the wrong'uns mentioned Daredevil not even having a metal suit or magic hammer.

EDIT: Another three episodes knocked off. What's weird, and I'll be interested to see if Jessica Jones is the same, is that it's really good at stuff that people (rightly) criticise some of the films for not doing. As in, they haven't just tried to make the show an Avengers-esque explosion-fest. D'Onofrio is great as Fisk. I'll be interested to see how the season ends on that front.

I watched Luther season 1 for the first time the other day. Got to say, it's actually not that great. Quite ridiculous characters (who shine and burn within an episode) and strange loyalties and behaviours. It's all quite pantomime when you really think about it. And the ending of season was just absolutely mental.

Luther was good, I thought. It definitely was a little contrived and silly at times, but Elba's so good that he just makes it work. Looking forward to the two-parter coming up.

Nope, at least nothing has been announced yet.

They're doing Cage and then Iron Fist to do a 'The Defenders' series.

I keep hearing that there's going to be a season two of Jessica Jones but Netflix (or Marvel?) wants to wait till Cage, Fist and the Defenders are released first. Must be the same for Daredevil surely?

Daredevil season 2 has already been given a release date of around April 2016 and Cage will also come out in 2016.

Iron Fist has no set year yet and Defenders will be after that.

There's a second lot of Daredevil coming out next year. The original plan was to introduce the characters separately and in one series each then move onto the group show and go from there, but Daredevil was so well received that they moved right onto a second run. Presumably they'll do the same with Jessica Jones now that's getting great reviews.

They're bringing in The Punisher for the second lot.

I've been off work for a couple of days and, on account of having nothing better to do, have binge-watched The Man in the High Castle in it's entirety. I'm not sure what I think about it really. Obviously I liked it enough to stick with it all the way through. I think that's largely down to it being a really interesting premise though. Story-wise I feel like almost nothing happened.

As stated above I thought of the three main sets of characters, the Nazis and Japanese were both fantastic (especially Rufus Sewell) but the main crew were pretty tedious and didn't really go anywhere. I don't really care though because the setting is so fucking well realised.

Anyone a fan of those Scandi noir crime dramas? I just started The Bridge on Netflix. It seems pretty good already after just the first episode. I was going to watch The Killing but they didn't have the original, just the US version.

I did. The female lead got extremely irritating in fairly short order but it's solidly entertaining overall.

I like her, she's really funny with Martin.

The third series has started pretty well. It's a bit 'bitty' though, as if they've too many scenes and too short a running time.

Just caught the first season and first episode of the second season, of Danger 5.

I haven't laughed this hard in quite a long time, ultimately a really well executed parody of old television shows a la Kung Fury.

Loving the care and detail in it, a natural comedic succession to the likes of Shaun of the Dead and Spaced.

Were it not for the fact I know he was about seven when it was filmed, I'd be seriously asking if Spoon had had a role in the West Wing he didn't tell us about:
