What's the point in raiding an unbeatable boss?
You've not thought this through.

Everybody needs an Everest.
Disco Elysium out today.
Heaven's Vault should keep me going for a little longer but if reviews are promising I don't see me holding out until payday to buy it.
EDIT: I've just seen it described as "Planescape: Torment with cops." Chances of holding off on buying it.... fading.....

This increases my interest in the game quiet a bit.
Still didn't need such a ludicrously uninspiring protagonist but you can't win 'em all.
Everytime I open RPS and it looks like Eurogamer I get weirded out.
Anyone getting The Outer World next weekend?
Done with Sekiro. Not finished but done. The endgame is brutal.
I am liking what I've heard so far about Crusader Kings 3, leaning into the character side of things.
Comfortably my favourite thing about CK2. My queen Catherine who I ended up earning the nickname "the Devil" because of a few legendary Welby Murder Spirals (@Cord can confirm, if he ever sees this) that, typically, went disastrously wrong as I continue to lose control of England.
And Adalbert, my big fat German lothario who agreed to join a war, didn't send a single soldier but lorded it up as a "war hero."
I'm not going to do the dignity of getting this article clicks. Imagine being paying someone to write this:
How did the writer get into this line of work? Anyway, for some real head scratching, the fishing game I'm reviewing at the moment is a £50 retail version of something already free-to-play on the PSN store. DLC is part of the package but you have to amass a ton of premium currency to unlock the packs.
He literally got famous by making a Cookie Clicker rip-off for Facebook.
WWE 2k20 is a fucking mess.
When I was creating my female player for career all of a sudden her eyelashes became about 3 feet long, they were like spikes. It's just completely bug filled.
To be fair it looks more fun than the tedious pile of yawn that I found the last WWE 2Kxx I played to be.
That's amazing.
Literally never heard of it apart from your post - read a couple of reviews and pre-ordered immediately
@Yevrah this sounds like your jam.

I was looking up Chris Avellone the other day, assuming he was involved in Outer Worlds because I didn't know he wasn't at Obsidian any more. He has however been involved in a whole bunch of other stuff that I was unaware of.
He's writing stuff for the new Star Wars game (another thumbs up for a game I was initially largely uninterested in), Bloodlines 2, Divinity: Original Sin 2 (for anybody who's played that apparently Fane / a lot of the detail for the Eternals was him) and a bunch of side stuff for Prey.
Outer Worlds is amazing and Yev would pump about two thousand hours into it.
Is it out?
Yup, get Gamepass and rinse it
I'll be on it this weekend.
Made a thread for it. I'm starting tomorrow as @Baz and The Reid are down tonight.
Got my Bannerlord beta key today.
Did anyone get the new COD? The sound in your handset is insane. It's scary at times in multiplayer. RDR had great audio but the MP exp is another level.
So I've just seen a youtube ad for Shenmue 3 with a big 'BUY NOW' at the end of it. It's a month out and I feel like build up's been ... quiet. Maybe they're pitching to the backer crowd or tempering expectations.

This is where the Welby Murder Spiral comes into its own.not to mention the new ‘Dread’ mechanic, wherein the more of a monster you are, the more your vassals are scared to disobey you
Beat Sekiro for a second time. The complaints about the difficulty in that game go by the wayside a bit. It's the same as every other From game. You figure it out and then take it home. The only difference is how Sekiro has posture and vitality as two things to keep track of. Some fights are about draining posture, others are about taking health down so posture drains quicker. Definitely a different rhythm of combat to souls and deals a lot on trading steel. My game of the year, by far.
I started a Jacksepticeye let's play of Death Stranding but I was already rolling my eyes while he was banging on about loving Kojima so I'm gonna need to try and find somebody a bit more laid back and cynical playing it.
I find people like jacksepticeye impossible to watch. It's just constant shouting throughout the video. You have a mic fella, you don't need to shout. Give me a Keralis any day of the week.
Yeah, Jack is a twat.
There's nothing right about screeching to appeal to kids in your 30s.
I've started Disco Elysium and thus far it's everything I'd hoped for.
You start off with a hangover so bad you literally can't remember a thing about your life (an interesting set-up for videogame amnesia) and your first mission is "Find your other shoe."
So Cliffski tried to moan about PC gaming sites not covering indie games enough...... and screenshotted RPS' most recent Guides articles (obviously featuring lots of Red Dead and Outer Worlds.)
The response has.... not gone well for him.
I've started watching Slowbeef's. The other guys he's got riding side-saddle are ... prepared.
Slowbeef and ChipCheezum are like elder statesmen of Let's Play. You don't tend to see them go solo much and tend to have decent company. Slowbeef has a proper clown cackle.
I'm saying this very early doors and it may change once I'm further into or have finished the game but I can genuinely see me doing another run of Disco Elysium very soon after my first.
I need to get back into that MGS V one. I stopped when they stopped a while back and haven't returned. It's a long fucking game x 3.
A follow-up thought to this was "Man, this must be my game of the year." Then a further follow-up thought was "Wait.... what games have I actually played that came out this year?"
The answer is that this is just the fourth. Massive selection of games, including freebies, mean paying £30+ (or even £20+, really) for all but the games you REALLY want is entirely unnecessary.
I get a lot of mileage out of PS Plus. I think I've only bought two games this year (Resi 2 and Sekiro) for £35 each.
I was gonna get the Xbox Gamepass for PC thing until it told me I need Windows 10. And that's the first time I've run into a need for it so I just won't bother until it's time to start upgrading the PC.
This looks gorgeous.
And has Ron Perlman.
