Aim roughly around the square and just before I begin powering up to 3.5/4 bars I call a second man to try and pull a defender.
Always go for a low header (L1+R1) and aim goalwards. Always seem to get a head on the ball but the placement can be erratic so it's more about luck at that stage.

The Week 2 Gold objectives are absolutely tragic.
Doing all that with players with less than 70 pace, lol.
Just reinforces my decision to lose all my rivals games, get put in a lower division and manipulate the fuck out of it to stay there.
Which is fucking stupid. but screw doing all that in a division against people of my actual skill level who're doing other things and using good players as a result.
In WL leaderboards, does it still say your friend's list have 30 games remaining at all times?

I've got 280k and cant think of how to strengthen my team beyond silly cards like Dybala, Ronaldo etc.

This game promised much but it’s seemingly rapidly going down the shitter.
I honestly think they're trying to get people out of the menus and into the actual game. Problem is, the more you play the more holes you find.
I don't get why they made SBC squads so hard to navigate (then fixed it but still not fully), the lack of league SBCs (even if they do come it's late), the lack of season/milestone objectives etc.
As long as people are on the game it doesn’t matter where you are to EA surely?
If anything it’d be good for them the more people are in the menus as you can’t buy a pack from the game itself.
If any of you have Sarabia OTW he is going to be getting an IF.

Sarabia has doubled in price since yesterday but 28k isn't exactly bonkers.

I'm not entirely sold on Rodri yet, I had Gbamin in there before and his pace got me out of trouble a few times, but one IF and Rodri is a monster so he stays for now. Moutinho will be back in instead of Ndombele next time I turn it on. He's noticeably slower but takes up far better positions in the attack and has a great line in perfectly timed runs beyond the striker.

I was going to ask how this could possibly be fun but then I remembered last year when they had that Childish Gambino featured squad with the Atlanta United crest et. al. my friends all decided to have a competition where we played them on Beginner to see who could score the most goals. It was the highlight of the season tbh.
I didn't even know this was a thing.
One thing that's happened to me a couple times is I'll have reached a level, go to click the right stick and then i'll be short on XP again somehow. It's happened twice. Mind you I'm not really going balls deep with the whole objectives thing but at some level I'm sure this is fucking fucks who are trying to get to level 30.
Because on Semi Pro it's a challenge for.me currently. Legit.
I've always been pathetically bad at non-FM football.games and if I play on Pro or above it's basically a defeat in 95% of matches. Ain't my genre or skillset.

Apparently it's because it gives you the incorrect XP in the first place then takes it back from you when you try and claim the reward.
Finally finished off OTW Ndombele. I packed IF Darida earlier in a reward pack, and used him in a Bundesliga 4-3-3 - he's a really good budget player to use. Also completed the OTW Sanchez so might look to put him into a Serie A squad soon. Still not sure where I want to focus all my coins yet.
Decided to pick up Vardy. Stuck a Sniper on him and he looks lethal.
OTW Rodri has been pretty good for me - seems to intercept quite a lot and is tall enough I can let him drop in as an auxiliary CB and he does well enough.
Getting OTW Promes and Sanchez, some Squad Battles to hit Elite 3 (not played much this week) and hopefully a decent pull from the Advanced SBC's if I get round to them.

I've just got De Gea and Sissoko from my 2 weekly Rare Gold Packs.
Pulled OTW Hernandez and a duplicate IF Darida (in the same pack) in my Squad Battles rewards. Hernandez would sell for around 100-110k, but I think I'll hold onto him. My decision of what league to focus on may have been made for me with this pack pull, he does look pretty amazing and there's always a possibility of an IF at Bayern.
OTW Sarabia for me. Will hold onto him as I think he might get more upgrades over the season
Dybala from my SB reward/free pack. Fits my team perfect. Seems I can only pull Serie A players this year.

Sold Sissoko for 38,500 and have put De Gea and Christensen in the team, the latter at CB for chem reasons.

No league SBC's yet and no UCL cards. It's all a bit bizarre.
If the Icon Swap objectives are a tedious shitfest (score 18 goals in separate rivals wins with a bronze Bulgarian goalkeeper for one token, for example) or massively overpriced (submit an 85 rated squad for one token) I may be back to Fallout 4 by the weekend.
Some have speculated that this isn't by design, that EA want to put more out but are holding back because all the stuff they've put out lately has been bugged to fuck.
Such as the Promes SBC saying completed for a lot of people, the chip shot objective in Gold not registering properly etc etc.
I've seen that but I'm not buying it.
If SBC's were wholesale broken then we wouldn't have had (m)any of them and the objectives don't work because they're presumably written ambiguously by one twat and coded in without checking what the creator actually meant by another twat.

I've seen the EA guys getting a beating on Twitter over the weekend over content and fixes.
Last year did start off similarly if I remember right, before we got towards Christmas and you had a new SBC every day.
It's the lack of league SBC's (think we had 3 or 4, but certainly at least 2 by this stage last year) and UCL cards that's been a bit odd.
The objectives are also varying degrees of horsewank and the XP on offer makes little sense in terms of how much you get for each one. The Week 2 Gold objectives give far more XP than the week 1 ones? Why? And to cap it all no one has any idea how many of them you need to do to hit the max level 30. Which probably won't matter as by the time anyone does the rewards won't be that appealing. There's only one, Tolisso, that would tangibly improve my (first owner) team already and there are still 30 days of the 'season' to run.
The idea behind objectives and milestones was great, but it's been executed quite badly so far and if they muff Icons up come Friday I think a lot of people will be resigned to it not looking that promising. Not that that's an excuse to hurl abuse at Corey and whoever the other chaps are on Twitter mind, as it's hardly their fault.
