Pukki, Hazard (who I brought on for Abraham at the start) and Sancho (on for Ndombele) absolutely dicked him.

So I lost all of my Division Rivals placement matches on purpose (I'm going to manage the fuck out of DR this year), but it's given me a skill rating of 235 and put me in Division 9. Nine.
9 must be filled with spastics and 6 year olds.
I believe I won my first game in seven 5-0.
Sticking to First Owner now (rather than pack only) as it seems to strike the right balance. With that in mind and also needing a better striker I've just done Pukki.
Annoyingly I got rid of a bronze Norwich RM player into MM's this morning which would have worked great as someone to sub out.
Oh and heading seems completely broken in this.

Yes the card looks great but 100K+ for a player that can't be utilised in the first 11 so soon into the game cycle is shit.
Maybe if he's around the same price near the end of the SBC (I think it will rise to 150ish though) it would be alright.

Only real preferences are :
Love pacey strikers with good finishing. Used Ben Yedder for the entirety of fifa 19 with great success.
Like playing 4-3-3. Tackling, strength, stamina and short passing for two cms, and long shots, finishing and passing for the AMC.
Inside forwards who are quick and good finishers and passers on the wing. Essentially see them as secondary strikers.
Super skillful dribblers utterly wasted on me as I'm too shit. Skill move star rating probably the least important attribute for me.
Got Pique in a pack.
Plus my EA Access pack yielded bullshit from the TOTW but Sokratis in the picks.
Once I get off work tonight I finally get a shot to really dive deep into FIFA beyond just playing career to manage my 10 hours.
I gave up not buying packs when I came home off my ass the other night and ended up picking up a few decent cards but nothing too exciting.

I've built a couple of basic starter squads, one Dutch, and one Liga NOS/Serie A. If I was to carry on, I really don't have a clue what sort of team I'd aim for.

I played a couple of the friendly house rules games in the last hours of my trial last night. Really enjoyed Mystery Ball, but found the King of the Hill mode a bit irritating.
Picked up Nathan Ake for my Dutch team and he seems to be a very effective CB.
I went 2-1-2 in the rivals placement games, which landed me in Div 6 with a score of about 950.

Huge improvement on where I was 7 days ago, but a few obvious things to sort. Don't have a single decent RM or RW and still annoyed I put a bronze Norwich right winger into MM's as that would have kept Pukki on 10 chem while giving me more options in the middle. Rookie mistake. As it is I generally sub on Draxler for Lallana immediately. He's a bit slow, but can dribble well and has 5 star weak foot, which is schweet.
Bar putting a Sniper on Pukki I've done nothing with consumables as you can see, so that might be a job for this weekend. Have 20k coins in the bank and (I know I said this last week) but should get Elite 1 in SB this week, which is nice.
The OTW player could be huge and shape things in a different direction depending on who I pack. I have loads of options beyond what you see there, with over 550 players in the club, 196 of them gold ones.

I really like Rodri as my CDM. He feels pretty mobile on the ball for his size, strong and can pass. I wouldn’t mind him in mine.
He just doesn't strike me as the sort of player who is going to get (m)any IFs.
That said, I'm already looking at the categorizations and think I need to tweak it a bit.
Packed Lozano last night. He's fricking 20k+. I mean I have to sell, he'll never be this expensive again. And as a 82 I'll probably pack him over and over.

Agree with selling there Trance, I sold Robertson and Cancelo for the same reason. I am expecting a dip in a couple of hours when people hammer OTW packs.
He might go up next week when his OTW is in packs.

I had about 25 in PSN credit so I bought some packs but I have been lucky since then. Robertson and Cancelo yesterday netted me over 100k, before that Ndombele 20k. That’s half of my investment already.
The rest has just been hammering out 84 trading since they are dirt cheap + game coins/coin rewards.

If you have spare coins I would recommend 84s. They just can’t go lower.
