iPhone 11 Pro and the Series 5 watch for me I think. Looks like a nice upgrade on what I've currently got and means I can pick up the generation-after-next for when 5G is maybe a thing.

It all looks good but there was nothing enough there for me to jump straight away before waiting to see what the Pixel 4 is like. Might still end up with one but definitely worth waiting the month first now.
I've had my phone 4 years this year (6s+), is this the iphone to upgrade or should i just keep trucking along?
The 6S is now end of life for updates I think so if that matters to you then now is the time. The regular 11 or XR would be a big upgrade over the 6S.
Actually scratch that @bruhnaldo, the 6S is iOS13 compatible. Though the second point still stands.

I'm not a twat so I'll stick to Android.
We've kinda hit the point now where the tech has plateaued in yearly increments. I'm a massive tech nerd and I don't bother upgrading every year as there's rarely enough to warrant it.
You'd definitely notice it from a 6S to any of these though.
Have they announced a screen on the rear of the phone yet?
My 10+ is pretty great, though after povvo smartphones anything half decent would have impressed me tbf. They need to improve battery though, I'd happily carry around something much bulkier if it lasted a couple of days.
Been asked by my wife’s mate if it’s possible for someone to “hack” your WhatsApp? Her ex seems to know very specific info and she thinks he can see her messages.
I'm a twit
In so much that it's possible for someone to know your password - sure. There's also a desktop version, so possibly someone could have access to that too.
Go to Settings > Account and turn on Two Factor Authentication and that'll lock other devices out unless they have permission.
The government are unable to "hack" WhatsApp, so I doubt Joe Bloggs can.
They’ve most likely seen the messages on the handset at either end.
Parent needs a new smart phone, nothing too fancy, but, at the same time, they're not complete mongs so don't need 'big buttons' style shite.
Dual sim is a must.
Are Hauweis going to become completely unusable once Google withdraw support/access to the playstore etc?
Existing ones will be ok but the official line is that new ones won't have Google services. My thinking is that it'll get sorted eventually. The Samsung A50 is worth a look depending on price range, dual SIM too. If the Nokia 7.2 is dual SIM (not sure) it's getting great reviews too but more expensive than the Samsung.
Just ordered the iPhone 11 in red, upgrading from a 7
Looks like it has a much better battery, camera is always an upgrade but from drop tests it seems hard to break the glass.
I’m still weighing up the 11 or the Pro Max, but probably won’t do anything until I see what the Pixel 4 is like next month. The 11 would probably do.
I had a play around with the Pro + Pro Max. Found the former the right size and the latter too big. The green colour is lovely.
The size of the regular 11 is ideal for me. If it had type C and Apple Maps wasn’t dogshit I probably wouldn’t wait for the Google launch at all.
I bought a Qi charging pad the other day. The future is cable-free
That would be a major deterrent for me as I use Android Auto every day in work and Apple Maps doesn't have our postcodes built in to it's database. You'd like to think they'll fix it and allow Google Maps to be used in the car but they've been pushing Apple Maps like made lately so may remain stubborn on it.
Another thing is that my new van with the head unit still hasn't arrived so I'm using AA on my P30 at the moment but Apple don't have a handset version of Carplay.
Ordered just the IPhone 11 today, didn’t bother with the Pro Max as I’m saving £20 a month with just the 11 on what I was paying for the X.
As long as it’s smoother and a better battery life I’m happy.
If the X wasn't smooth enough for you then I'm not sure the 11 is going to fix your issues. It's a slightly upgraded chipset but it's going to have to do almost twice the resolution.
Vastly superior camera regardless.
iOS 13.1 out today which has a bunch of fixes in, if you'd been holding off updating. iPad OS too.
Just installed it there. I didn't realise I needed to delete the beta profile to get it to show up. I'm not seeing any differences from beta 4 anyway but I think people are still seeing sync and bluetooth issues on the stable releases.

had a vodafone smart thing before and it's quality for the price.

It's more that it doesn't clog up the screen all the frickin time
That HP Chromebook 14 free with the Pixel 4 in the UK is a way better deal than we’re getting.
Ok @Giggles, I have another one for you, largely the same as the last question - decent smartphone, not break the bank stuff, but no strict requirement for dual sim, under £200. What do you recommend?
Probably one of the Redmi’s but if you wanted something with cleaner software and updates then the Nokia 6.2 (4GB version).
Redmi Note 8 was the one I was thinking of.
The Xiaomi Mi 9T is a beast of a thing for probably very little more than £200 too.

Cancelled my Pixel 4XL order after the reviews but there's probably not a single alternative out there I'd buy instead at this stage.
The battery on my iPhone 11 amazes me, I can’t imagine how good the Pro Max must be.
I took it off charge at 8am Saturday and it finally died, without using battery saver mode, at 4pm Sunday. With pretty heavy usage at times.
That's the main reason I can't go for that Pixel. I've got so used to not caring about battery with the P30 Pro that I don't think I could go back.
Think I'm gunning for a Pixel 3 or 3a during Black Friday to replace my cracked Honor 8. Not much of an upgrade but at least my screen will be whole again.
