Always too good to be true. Bastard.
Lol I've had like 3 SECURITY UPDATES this week.
At least they're still doing them. I'd a free one due from work and still took the Huawei. It'll all be a load of nothing.
That's reassuring given I bought a cheap one a couple of weeks ago. Some P Smart version which isn't too bad for the cost. I text and use WhatsApp so I doubt not using the Playstore will effect me much even if it happened. Or am I well wrong? I don't even know what's happening except something about privacy and bears giving Google the sly eyes.
Yeah it's a disaster, basically they can't put full Android on, all the apps in the store, maps, Google home etc.
Paging @Giggles.
I can get the S10+ with 30gb data for £40/month, or pre-order the S10 5G for £46/month for 30gb data (both are only £50 for the handset upfront).
Do I:
Go for the s10+ right now
Go for the S10 5G
Wait for the S10 5G to be released, then get the S10+
I doubt my provincial town will even have 5G coverage for ages, but it's probably gonna be a noticeably better phone just for the other specs, shirley?
What have you now? If it's decent at all I'd wait.
Or wait for a Note 10 which won't be too long after the 5G.
The battery on this P30 Pro is unreal, never had anything remotely close. Been off the charger 20½ hours with screen usage of 7hr35 and there's still 44% sitting on it.
We'll see how it holds in a year.
I won't have it in 6 months.
I change more regularly than that normally. Both the Note 10 and Pixel 4 Wil be out by October.
You change phone every six months? Aren't modern phones like a thousand dollars?
It's like a lad buying an 8k telly when he can see the one he has already, or someone buying a bicycle with a carbon frame when the wheels still turn on his old one. Basically I want to and, at the moment anyway, I can.
I get some from work and some for testing also, but I count them as in-between bonuses.
Fair enough. Six months seems like a really short period, but whatever. I definitely spend far more money on shit that I use far, far less.
what do you actually use your phones for giggles?
Taking pictures of his food/beer.
Lawl my PlayStore became unaccessible.
You must have done something then because even worse case scenario, nothing happens until the end of August.
Im looking for a new phone. I want to move away from iPhone now. I just need a phone with strong battery life. Ive got a SIM Only deal right now, but im open to a contract if neccesary.
I want to Avoid Samsung. I like the look of something from Sony, or that OnePlus.

Is the one my friends are currently saying is cheap and good.
Yeah, couple of people in my old work had Huawei phones and they said the battery life was great - would last two days.
Ive heard a few things about that handset and that website looks decent to compare.
*I don't care how good the cameras are because I don't take pictures
*4k video output
*Headphone jack
*Fuck Apple and Samsung
My budget is also about £300.
The HONOR handsets looks decent. The 8X and PLAY versions look good

I would have liked the OnePLus 6 but you cant get it anywhere that I can trust
Went with the mate 20 lite in the end for £175
Can you recommend some useful mobile phone software?
Well this blokes already got his bot software sorted out.
I worked out I had my last phone for more than 8 years.
I'm still on a release-day iPhone 6 so that must be quite old at this point. Maybe I should stop moaning about the battery,
I have realised and confirmed, being only on 3G on my pixel massively extends the battery life. Plus, avast or AVG sucks all my battery life so I've uninstalled it.
Never installing a third party anti virus is always a good start. Avast isn't too spammy but there's really no need for them, especially on a Pixel.
3 days with an iPad and I'm already eyeing up the next iPhone release
After another few days it’s not without it’s annoyances (copying and pasting is a nightmare), but mainly because I never realised all the Google stuff works so seamlessly on iOS plus they’ve fixed most of the things in iOS13 I hated when I tried it previously (proper LastPass integration and a half decent file system for starters).
I always said that apple stuff is for people that aren’t really into phones, and the less interested I’m finding myself in phones the more that’s ringing true.
That new iPad is seriously good looking at $329.
They’ve also just invented night mode and wide angle cameras.
At $700 they’re going to sell an absolute shitload of iPhone 11’s. Rebranding the XR into the main product line at that price is a good move.
I’m due an upgrade so that’ll do nicely.
