That'll end well.
That'll end well.
BattleHawks is particularly lol.
Once football fans realise the football is shite and once WWE fans realise there's no gimmicks and breaking chairs over each other, there won't be anyone left watching and it'll be another AAF or UFL.
All about the Tampa Bay Vipers.
We need jerseys next.
They’ll just be AAF jerseys with different names taped on
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/08/21/ch...y-eddy-pineiro
They took their playoff exit reeeeaaaally well.
Sounds like a pretty grim situation for the guys trying out.
Speaking of kickers: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...e-bears-kicker
I thought this was going to be the sort of low, flat kick you sometimes see people score long field goals from outside game situations but that looks like she gets some proper elevation on it.
I also didn't know until I saw Gil Brandt's comments on it that it wasn't technically prohibited for a woman to play in the NFL.
I think they'll put barriers in place to stop her. They won't want a woman kicker in on the off chance she gets tackled.
They could add extra protection for kickers but that might make it easier to run a fake.
There's still probably more chance of her getting a job, if she wants one, than Kaepernick.
Apparently Andrew Luck has had enough of all the injury shit and is retiring from the NFL effective immediately.
Now that is a bomb to drop.
Jesus.
If the love for it has gone and even the thought of another year for ~$30m doesn't change your mind then fair enough to him.
The guy was constantly carrying or rehabbing from an injury of one kind or another, with a couple threatening his career full stop. I imagine that wears you down after a while.
Would have thought they could have talked him into another year to see them through until next year's QB class.
Colts fans boo him off the field at the game too. Classy.
I'm guessing they tried everything for him, but I suppose this is better than him potentially turning up and half-assing it. Not that he's that kind of guy anyway.
The ones who booed him off don't deserve to see a win ever again. Cunts.
If he’s officially retired due to injury then does it shaft the Colts cap? It would be rather fitting if it did![]()
They're way past the deadline of any guarantees being active for this season. He's personally lost $60m for not seeing out his contract. Had he waited until the 17th September he'd have gained another $6m.
The interesting one is he got a $12.8m as a signing bonus. With him retiring there's nothing in his contract that says the Colts can't ask for it back.
But for now it's cost the Colts $18.4m of dead cap space this year and $6.4m from next year.
When did College Football come back?![]()
Luck retiring is a shame but he's been just hammered with injuries the last few years. He's the sort of level headed low maintenance dude that knows life is more than football and pain too. Fair play to him.
Great news for Jacoby birsett though. He thought he should be a starter somewhere. This is his chance.
Just been watching the Florida Miami game. Just error central. Great entertainment though. Glad football is back.
Dislike Felipe franks immensely though.
He has to play well enough to keep the colts out of the reach of tua and Herbert.
If he looks solid, he gets the franchise tag and a shit load of cash to give it another go.
Think mike glennon sort of style.
I don't think he has to play all that well for them to be out of reach for Tua/Herbert without trading as their team is too good.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...oup-money-luck
Colts wont go after the $24.8m they could have recouped from Luck.
Cut season is here
Seahawks have cut Amara Darboh AGAIN
Broncos have cut Jeff Holland (he's been picked up by Buffalo), Dekoda Watson & Zach Kerr
Dolphins have cut TJ McDonald, Akeem Spence, Jordan Mills (injury settlement) & Clive Walford (injury settlement)
Vikings have cut Jordan Taylor & Bene Benwickere
Lions have cut David Fales (they've replaced him with the Birmingham Iron's own Luis Perez)
Cardinals released Terrell McClain & Andre Branch
Browns released Jaelan Strong
Colts waived Matthias Farley
Patriots released Mike Pennel & Maurice Harris (waived/injured)
Packers waived Josh Jones
Not exactly an exciting set of moves, but things should start getting interesting next week once we get down to final cuts.
EDIT: Malcolm Smith gone from the 49ers too, and it sounds like Josh Doctson is on the bubble in Washington, not that anyone should be surprised by that.

Fark. Pretty much the best LB in college out for the year before week 1 - wonder if this will affect whether he declares or not.
RIP

We've made a surprising cut in Willie Henry.
Leaves the door open for one of Zach Sieler or Gerald Willis.
Lesean McCoy getting released by the bills..
A bit of a surprise but they're in full on rebuild mode now. The defence is good enough and the QB I like, but they pretty much don't have anything at WR and now RB is looking short in supply.
Shady himself will be fine. You'd think he's a shoe in for the Texans. Though the Chargers may be interested. If he's happy to play a lesser role but on a team with a chance to win it all however, there's a few other options. I'd love to see him come home though.
Elsewhere it looks like Seattle will be the ones to land Clowney.
Third round pick plus Barkevious Mingo and Jacob Martin.
Fucking highway robbery with security guards watching. You love to see it.
Clowney gone.
Kizer cut by the packers and Brian hoyers holiday camp in New England is over.
Texans trading like there's no tomorrow.
So, does McCoy getting cut help Wade get near their final roster or has he already been discarded himself (back presumably to wherever exempt guys go)?
He's one of 4 RBs they have now. Looking good for his chances.
One of the final cuts but Wade has been released.
He'll likely end up on a practice squad for now.
Dolphins tanking for tua/Herbert.
And we've given them some capital if fitzmagic manages to give them any dubs.
Anyone watch any of opening week of the college season?
I was away yesterday but caught the recorded Oregon auburn game today. What a beaut of a game that was.
Looking forward to Texas v lsu next week too. Be nice to see whether Sam ehlinger can raise them up against a good sec team. Will be good to see Delpit again too. He was amazing last year. Sophomore season should be good.
I'll not mention the volunteers either.![]()
Yeah, I watched that game yesterday as there’s a condensed version on YouTube. Tennessee are a fucking shambles, and have been for at least three seasons, but losing to Georgia State takes it to a whole new level of misery.
Oklahoma State & Washington games sound like they could be worth checking out too - some nice performances from under the radar draft guys in both games.
Texas/LSU should be the first proper ‘big’ game though - LSU should probably take it if their offence shows up, but I feel like Ehlinger will just run in 4 short TDs & drag Texas to victory while Joe Burrow chills out being vanilla in the background. Delpit is a junior, by the way, so he’s eligible for the draft this yearKaden Sterns from Texas is a sophomore though, so he’ll be the one to watch for 2021.
Better chuck all my season predictions out there.

Can't find the spreadsheet from last year, so it's probably on a hard drive somewhere. I'll get the weekly predictions up tomorrow though, still got that template lying around.

The Chiefs are in the AFC.
Though that pales in comparison to the lol-fest anywayI'm just surprised you didn't have Justin Tucker as defensive and offensive player of the year, MVP, and rookie of the year.

That was meant to say Packers, whoops.
Also, that's LORD Justin Tucker. Cretin.
