If Bernie gets in it'll really signify a NEW PAGE in American politics.
If Bernie gets in it'll really signify a NEW PAGE in American politics.
What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
Trump is going to win, trust me lads.
Are you voting for him again?
Of course, that whole Obama/Trump crowd is gonna “grudgingly” vote for him again on the grounds that whoever the Dems nominate is simply a worse option.
“Oh, America is in real trouble, it’s so sad that we’re forced to choose between these two buffoons” they’ll say, completely oblivious to the fact that they’re literally the ones making it worse

I thought the banning of 'Gavel' a tad harsh to begin with, but see now it was entirely justified.
You have the worst political ideas. You voted for Trump because you thought the system was broken, vote for me and I’ll do nothing at all!
I don't think it would truly win, although I imagine there must be some fatigue setting in at some point.
That said, I don't think anyone other than Trump will truly win.
People like to be outraged too much. They won't vote for quiet politicians any more. Although, if Trump's videogame ban gets through, that could change. Well, probably not. I just think it's dumb how that's come about.
Good job.

Man writes manifesto with lines almost directly lifted from Trump quotes and speeches.
Man makes a photo of Trump's name spelled out with guns.
Man shoots up a load of people.
"Hm, must be videogames."
The economy is doing really well at the moment, no? And if so, incumbents don’t generally lose in those circumstances.
Not that I think anyone can actually beat him anyway. I was staggered to see Trump at evens. If I had more balls I’d put my savings on it.
Give it up Ian, the TRUTH is out there now.
I can see a scenario where Bernie wins.
man makes threats like the average antifa on twitter
man whines about cops all the time
man would've shot even more people if there wouldn't be tons of cops nearby
"hm, must be drumpf"
instead of, you know, right- and left-wings radicalizing themselves further and further, one group doing it on places like 8chan who barely anyone knew about and the other on twitter where a big part of western society supports the radicalization because idpol/woke shit sells
not to mention most news sites making mass shootings a supposedly white problem...
lol of course the german weirdo has the 'okay' sign in his avatar.
I thought he just said "it's the video games!" and then someone meme'd and said lol you know cause Japan's issue with mass shootings.
I don't think he literally said anything about Japan.
I want to go back to a time when the internet was just small sites about a shit local band. It's too easy now. Too easy for someone to roll deep on a conspiracy theory, side with some fucking dumb cause and connect with like-minded arseholes.
First of all, I've had that avatar way before it became a "hate sign", you absolute bellend (can't wait to get a warning for that )
don't know what my country has anything to do with that or why you have to mention it, considering it's nowhere on my profile nor did I ever mention my country in any of my posts
being called weird by you of all people is probably the worst part, though
The indicators are doin alright but there’s trouble a-brewing and has been for 2 decades
Heh. Yaysus changed his avatar after phonics screeched. The one thing I always come back to about the mass shootings is how no bystanders fire back. At that point, 90% of guns in US households are just ornaments.
Point is, America has no good guy with a gun. They just have consumers. Sell the guns with fuck all ammo. But tell them it's already loaded.
It's a nation of cowards but they can't stop spending on firearms. Why not make ammo the thing you have to get screened for?
Joe Biden seems to have said that poor kids are "as talented as white kids."
Being racist and ignorant to poverty in your own country at the exact same time and so succinctly is pretty impressive to be fair.
Is yaysus a mert account or have we actually attracted a new (and insane) member somehow?
He posted on the old board.
I'm usually just lurking, but considering how any kind of opinion that isn't trumpf/guns bad makes you apparently insane here, I'll just go back to that
You seem like an incel
Thanks for boiling decades of gun debate into something dumb. Your argument about the internet fostering these mindsets is right but, at the end of the day, legislation is in the politician's wheelhouse. Legislating internet usage is a motherfucker. Legislating against firearms is ... theoretically easier and you can gather the data to suggest whether legislation is working.
of course guns should be way more restricted than they are, no argument there, it's way too easy to get access to them legally
but that doesn't solve a different problem: criminals/would-be getting their hands on guns, because that won't change no matter the legal situation or availability of said guns, if anything it makes it harder to track them
you'd have to undo a long history of guns being a common right, which I doubt is possible to due it just being so ingrained into the mindset/culture of america
other countries with similar/comparable amount of guns per capita have way lower murder numbers, so it's not the guns, it's the culture/people handling the guns
maybe glorifying violence in 90% of the media isn't the way to go, after all
False. Say America went big and ditched the 2nd amendment. Possession of guns becomes illegal. Firstly, where do criminals get their firearms? They'd have to source from Mexico or Canada which both require permits and clear criminal records. This is why Mexican gangs prefer to go North for its guns. Either way, they'd have to cross back into the US, face potential border checks, etc. On top of that, they run the risk of being caught on possession every time police decide to stop and search.
It's no good being defeatist about it. Small steps like the Brady Bill have to happen to get the US comfortable with the gradual erosion of a 250+ year right. Someone needs to have the bottle to propose a road map. Strangely, Trump's the first President that might be daft enough to do it.
People are so weird. Trump essentially won by 100 - 150k votes in three Midwest states. Incumbents normally win but It isn’t some insane task. We are currently in the incumbent advantage part of the cycle but they will pivot to the general.
The economy is so-so. Jobs are strong, wage growth meh, and farm incomes have imploded. They wouldn’t be floating all this “the media is causing a recession” nonsense or “we should do a payroll tax cut” if the White House itself thought the economy was so great. Trump can’t win with just his base, he needs the R base or new voters.
Trump's not losing, my man.
What he said was right tho. All it takes is 40k voters each in Wisconsin, Penn and Michigan to switch from Trump to Democrat and he’s lost. It really isn’t that hard, especially since you’re not going to get many people voting for him this time who didn’t last time
It was close to 15, 40, 70 if I remember correctly. How many dairy farms have closed in Wisconsin? Something like 10,000? Since the steel tariffs what has happened to auto / heavy machinery jobs?
It is a harder sell than Clinton is bad.
It kind of seems like the Democrats are properly fucking themselves over by presenting about 200 candidates that are all quite different anyway.
