Just realised you can't use your wildcard and bench boost in the same week. What the fuck? I didn't think the wildcard functioned like other 'chips'. Seething.
That Friday night game has completely fucked what little plans I had left.

Good to see Emery not use either of my Arsenal players too, Kolasinac and Lacazette. Utterly awful week but I am set up for a good bench boost to be used on the double gameweek upcoming.
77 points after tonight's game puts me into the top 100 overall.
I'm going to have a lot of spare time to reallocate when this season finishes.
What's been your deal this year, have you put a lot more time into it then, than before?

Probably averages out to a few hours on it each week. There are a lot of parallels to football betting. You have a load of data, and through some process you decide which bits are relevant in order to come to the optimal output. Very easy to spend large amounts of time arguing either side of the argument (player a vs player b).
I've definitely had the rub of the green at times. Triple captain Salah was a last minute decision at the weekend and got me 57 points, most seasons something like that ends up returning single digits.
I'm interested to see how repeatable it is next season, though I'm not sure I can be arsed putting this much effort in again.

7 is hefty for a defender.
If he can keep up 20+ clean sheets and 10+ assists he's worth it.

The forward options in this are even more tragic than usual, they really need to stop making Salah and Sterling and co midfielders.

Think I'm currently rocking Ricthie, Neves, Noble, Kodija and Ings on the basis that they might be penalty takers and are cheap. Kane & Poggers too.
My team is absolute toilet, being based almost entirely around a Liverpool/City defence, and set piece/penalty takers.

Both Sterling and Salah feel too expensive, as the former gets rotated and Salah I reckon might start the season a bit knackered. Then again Liverpool do have easy fixtures so might try to get him in anyway.

Brighton are dreadful and their coach has a 'good football' philosophy. I'd treat their players with extreme caution until the first international break.
Was really trying for a Hyphen United but 'keepers and, to a slightly lesser extent, forwards have let me down. Sad times.

Drastically re-done my team today. Not sure if I've done the right thing - I've taken out Martial and Perez who I've had in all summer, as I think they're both going to be bargains this season. But I just can't leave out De Bruyne, so out they go.
