JUNE FOOTBALL: Klopp vs. Spurs Bottle Battle

Forgot to do this this morning so we're a bit late. Bit late for a Champions League final poll.

Obviously tonight we have Liverpool and Spurs providing an important warm-up game for a number of England players ahead of Team Waistcoat bringing the Nations League home after 0 years of hurt so far.

Also the womens World Cup, which I may actually watch some of as Phil Nev's charisma drives us to a presumably ignonimous exist at some juncture.

Gonna be the most one-sided Champions League Final in the history of football.

Three or four nil, at least.

    Can’t wait.

Looked like he was trying to tell the other spurs guy to follow any overlap. cross comes in and ricochets onto his arm.

I can imagine this is a terrible game from a neutral perspective. Liverpool haven't turned up and Spurs seem to shit their pants every time they get near the final third.

I believe it's to do with Vitaly the Youtube PRANKSTER.

He himself has invaded the pitch during World Cup/Champions League games including sliding into team photos. Probably got a hot woman to do it this time for extra views and/or he's banned from these events now.

Admirable attempt to pretend you haven't just read an article about it.

This has been a complete non event. I don't think a single player has played above a five out of ten.

    I haven't.

I'm not sure if he's the one that snuck into team photos but I went with it.

I think he's a massive prick and he's been in the news a few times for TAKING HIS PRANKS TOO FAR.

Why do BT constantly try to suck 'Dele' off?

He's been horseshit every time I've seen him and yet BT are always talking like he's the second coming and how he's just about to turn the game around despite never doing so.

Cue a 'Dele' hattrick now ofc.

This has probably been worse than that famously abysmal Juventus v Milan 2003 final, although given the quality of players on show in that game it's probably still worse in relative terms.

Has there ever been a properly good final of this contested between two sides from the same nation? I remember a Madrid derby one being a bit dull but with a few moments of drama, and I think the Bayern v Dortmund one improved pretty drastically late on, but I can't think of you'd unequivocally describe as a good game of football.

Kane has never come back from injury and played well. He needs a few games under his belt.

Waiting for 70 minutes to bring on Lucas is criminal.

Liverpool haven't played that badly all season.

Awful final all round, but, the right team won. Shame.

That really wasn't very good was it?

Andy Robertson played about as well as anyone. Origi misplacing every pass after coming on was a sight to behold. Where's your passing completion stats now opta??

Origi can retire tomorrow as a more directly successful footballer than 99% of those that have played the game.

I can only remember a decent save from Son and Lucas.

For what? Bar the Eriksen free kick everything was straight at him. Man of the Match was probably one of the Liverpool wing backs.

Origi's finish was the best thing this season, including all your fancy little comebacks. Fucking clinical in front of his own fans on the biggest stage of all.

Yeah, in some ways they're in a similar position to Liverpool last season (lamenting a bit of a shit showing and some bad luck in a final after getting there against the odds/logic) but you also get the sense they aren't kicking on from here. This is the end of the road for quite a lot of that team, so they'll have to go some to replace whoever leaves with something better. I suppose at least Pochettino hasn't walked off into the Argentinian sunset.
