As if fucking Kompany's twatted one into the top corner from 20 yards out.

I thought that purely because in either FM '11 or '13 I had a centre half regen called Jose Maria who scored two goals like that in back to back games against Leeds then Liverpool. He'd never scored a goal with his feet before that and never did so again either.

SIAP but they said it was Kompany's first shot on target from outside the box since 2013 and his first attempt from outside the box in over 30 to actually score

3 minutes? That's all? Aguero took about five just to get off the pitch.

They said on Sky Sports it was his 27th shot outside the box with his first goal.

Kompany openly telling 'Pep' to sign Tielemans was interesting, as was him crying after the game. He'll retire and take a coaching job.

EDIT - Just seen Maguire's reaction. He was absolutely certain that was flying in as it whistled past him.

I didn't spot that - was that when the three of them were chatting on the pitch?

Gary Neville on potential penalties/fouls is awful. He always says something like, "I always put myself in the other team's shoes and ask myself if I'd be happy if that was given against me". But that isn't really the right question to be asking...

Despite the widespread acclaim, does anyone else think this title race or whatever you want to call it is actually quite dull?

Obviously being somewhat invested in it makes it interesting, but teams winning all the time just isn't. Hopefully the teams in 3-6 aided and abetted by the likes of Wolves, Leicester, Everton et al can make it more competitive (and stop teams amassing 90+ points) next season.

The teams winning is fine because there's been spells where victory for them isn't a given. It just doesn't tend to happen in England where the top two dominate like this.

EDIT: I see mine is gone too, so I'm guessing the Czech player taking a fall. I've no problems with a good dive, though I'm not sure why RTÉ would remove the tweet.

Ebosele is the bigger twat as he came running back on after the ref at the end and even if he got that overturned, he's probably earned a suspension for himself anyway.

It was a comedy dive by the centre half. Maybe not even a dive, just feigning injury like a massive twat. The kind of thing that, when seen in youth football, should probably just lead to a life ban.

I'm sure there'd be easier ways to go about that than "No it's fine, Kompany's bound to rifle one in at some point if we just don't close him down!"

    Lock it in.

What are the changes of City actually dropping points to Brighton? Also, aren't Wolves sneaky decent?

Wolves will hold Liverpool to a draw and Brighton will get a last minute equaliser in scenes reminiscent of 1995.

Mane will be playing Andy Cole.

I'd fancy Wolves more had Liverpool been in front in the league, as it is I think Liverpool will win. Chances are extremely remote that Brighton will get anything against City. They're generally hopeless, and extra hopeless against speedy technical midgets. Brighton will need to score, which is frankly unlikely unaided, and City will have to concede, which it doesn't feel like they've done for about 2 months. You never know though.

I'd go as far as to say Brighton's only chance would be a first minute Alexander-Arnold style handball on the line red card penalty, and even were that to happen, it'd be 50-50, at best.

They won't even grow the grass long or dry the pitch out, the massive plebs.

Gotcha. I made my peace with Liverpool winning the season a few months ago, but I'd still prefer it be anyone else.

The problem is that Klopp, Salah & co. are so damn likeable now. It's really hard to hate them as much as Gerrard, Carragher and buddies.

I'm hoping next season we see the six-eight near the top are more competitive.

Liverpool only losing 1 all season is incredible. It's even more incredible considering they're not top despite that.

It's hard to hate them as much as that odious side in the past, but I feel as the season has gone on, this current crop have definitely gotten more unlikeable. Klopp seems to get on my tits every week with each soundbite he provides after the game.

The massive amounts of diving and various refereeing decisions always going their way doesn't help.

Looks like the only trophy we'll be winning this year is breaking Spurs' run of games without drawing so you have to invent some narrative to give a shit about anything.

The list of teams rival fans want to see do well must be pretty fucking short, if it even exists.

The fact Liverpool have got where they are without full-on despotic ownership only adds fuel to the dislike fire I would imagine, as per Lewis' theory.

Even Leicester, the feelgood miracle of the century, fans turned into absolute arseholes in the wake of their success (to mirror the fact most of their players were existing but overlooked bellends). It's football fandom, if you like other teams you're doing it wrong in most circumstances.

I think the league is all over and done, both sides will win on Sunday. Then in the summer City will go and spend silly money again to make sure nobody wins it other than them again next season. I could see them going on to win year after year for a little while too. They're just unreal.

Been a super exciting season, the last title challenge we had was a hard watch, it felt like it could all fall apart at any moment and eventually did, this time around it's felt very much like we're going to win each week, which has made easier viewing, just a shame we're against maybe the best side the league has ever had.
