Lol. Angle's not going out on his back, then.
Even by the modern no-build standards of recent Wrestlemanias this one is looking spectacularly shit.

So Okada v Ospreay was epic.
Finally watched Fastlane and I was pleasantly surprised.
The two tag matches were alright (the RAW one slightly better and the Shane turn was shit), the US title and WWE championship matches were great. Mustafa was a fucking champ in the latter, he was selling like a beast.
Asuka/Rose was turd (what was that fucking finish?), Kofi/Bar was dull, Tamina/Nia are still useless and the Ronda/Lynch/Flair thing is still an overcomplicated mess.
NJ Cup final was ace, US title match that came before was a nice warmup too.
The final edges Yano/Cabana for my favourite match of the entire thing. Here's hoping Knife Crime Jim gets done in at MSG.
They've changed Mustafa Ali's name to 'Ali'.
I don't understand their obsession with having wrestlers with 1 name. Is it because the commentators are lazy? in the hopes Michael Cole might be able to make a catchphrase? Thinking the fans are morons and will relate more with them?
Not sure, I can't see Okada losing clean and they do seem to prefer keeping the big changes for Japan so it could easily be Knife Pervert via Gedo based shenanigans. Then again, Okada winning the title back at MSG makes a hell of a headline for what must be a very important show tor them.
I'll go for Okada to set up Naito vs Okada at WK for both belts.

This is starting tonight. May well be a load of shit but I'll probably give it a go.
I've had part of SD spoiled for me.
I honestly have no idea what they're doing with the women's division across both brands right now.
I think I can see where it's going, but without spoiling, I don't agree with what they've done.
Because I've been busier I've been in the habit of checking results and watching anything I care about on Raw / Smackdown recently but this week I'm going to try and avoid Smackdown spoilers because it's been pretty good and it'd be nice to at least be surprised with whatever nonsense they have Vince do next.
The Smackdown women's division has effectively been abandoned though, because they don't let Asuka actually do much and they've taken it's two biggest stars having made no effort to build up anybody else properly before hand.
Okay yeah I've watched Smackdown now and I've no fucking idea what's going on with the women's division. They wouldn't unify the belts would they? I think that'd be a good think at this point as they clearly aren't prepared to properly push two sets of people but they would probably think that would count as a step back in their glorious progressiveness.
There are a lot of options of things this could be doing but I find it hard to believe they take Charlotte out of the main event of Mania so that narrows the likely options somewhat.
EDIT: Also what the fuck is up with Stone Cold Mike Mizanin mullering about 12 people?

So they finally gave Kofi Kingston a WWE title shot?
Can't be mad with that.
Well not quite. Vince did say at the end of the show he still wasn't sure a "B+ player" could take on someone like Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania. There's 1 more Smackdown to go so expect 1 more gauntlet match or something.
As for the womens titles, I can only assume one of 2 outcomes.
1. They're unifying the titles. This makes the most sense of the 2 options. The Womens rumble proved there isn't really that many stars that could carry 2 big titles and then the tag titles as well.
2. They doing an angle trying to make Becky look even stronger in victory by being the only one without a title going into it.
They could do both at the same time, but who knows.
They don't tend to allow stars to switch brands by going for either title at the PPV's, do they? I think they should.
This Kofi stuff is a bit mid-2000s Booker T, they will look quite bad if he doesn't win.
Looking at the current card as it stands, it looks like a solid hot fucking mess. The Battle Royale is clearly going to Strowman unless some random NXT superstar gets called up and wins it instead (Adam Cole??). Mahow must be proper seething that his favourite 205 wrestler isn't in the Cruiserweight title picture so that's staying with Buddy Murphy. Triple Haitch putting his career on the line is fucking funny in itself so he'll win against Batista who only cares about promoting whatever fucking film is in his pipeline (Avengers Endgame?).
The Women's triple threat match can go either way so I'd imagine Vince wants that title put on Charlotte to keep her dad happy. I heard Rousey has gone heel which is in itself so hopefully she'll win it. Reigns-McIntyre sounded like it got thrown together last minute because Ambrose has pretty much not bothered signing another contract and fucked off, don't blame him really. Miz and Shane have broken up as a team I'm assuming and are now fist fighting each other for the memes. Samoa Joe and Bobby Lashley are now mid-card champions? Okay
Dunno what the point of Orton-AJ Styles is apart from maybe bums on seats and Kurt Angle's final match is against Baron Corbin?
Oh yeah the women's division have a tag team title now?
Amazing.
It'll at least be better than that so long as Bryan doesn't hit a running knee then go for a hotdog before pinning him but Kofi winning would be the sensible thing, even if he probably then loses it back at the following PPV.
It makes sense to give the title to Kofi so that the kids and youtube subscribers can go home from the event happy.
Lesnar keeps the Universal belt I am assuming?
He really fucking shouldn't so he definitely will, which will give Browning one thing to enjoy about the show anyway.
The card does look a fucking state though, in contrast to previous recent years where the card looks at least alright on paper but has no build. They've really leaned into it this year.
I don't have a favourite 205 guy since Mustafa Ali left.
It probably is now Buddy Murphy as he's so far ahead of the others although I would like Drew Gulak to hold the belt at one point.
Oh and Batista will win, he wouldn't come back just to lose and Haitch putting HIS CAREER ON THE LINE makes it even more likely.
*Ali.
HHH is winning. Part time heel vs a, ahem, babyface who's "owed" a win.
Well I'm hoping that if Haitch goes on to retire we'll get an ownership takeover storyline with him taking full control over Vince eventually.
Obviously it's a stupid and unrealistic dream as Vince is going until he dies.
Vince isn't retiring and while he's still capable of ambling about nor is HHH.
That's a Wrestlemania 50 Match.
Trips main-evented Wrestlemania as WWE champion a couple of years ago. He's not retiring for another decade.
My money is also on HHH winning. I mean... he beat Sting for fuck sake.
When Lesnar retains....
Good point. This would be a thousand times less ludicrous than the Sting victory.
What a career he had in WWE.
Remember that time WWE finally got Sting to work for them and then Sting went over clean against HHH at Mania?
EDIT: Good to see we're all on the same page
Batista won last time they were at Wrestlemania so HHH is 10000000000% winning this time round. Plus it's Wrestlemania, there aren't going to be many heel wins.

Strong/Breeze, Sanity/Undisputed Era, Storm/Cross/Belair are the matches I'm most looking forward too.
Dijakovic vs. Harper could be decent,
Suziki chopping the tits off Josh Barnett will be top 5 highlight of Wresmania Weekend.
I'm looking forward to the MSG show and NXT, Wrestlemania itself will be fast forwarded through so I can skip all the dross.
Properly lolled at how shit they made Rousey look with the mic drop/'and another thing' shit.
Samoa Joe is another they make look like an idiot on the regular with the same old clutch rollup things.
Big fan of the Dave Batista promo this week.
Edit: Oh and the Demon Balor thing is becoming so shit now. Last go round a squash against Corbin and now for Lashley when he won the IC title off him in a handicap match. It's stupid that he didn't use it against Baroque, I get that he and Vince want to PROTECT it but why wouldn't he use his ultimate weapon in the biggest matches?

lol.
Well Rollins ended up on top after his run-in with Bork so that's him losing on Sunday.
Oh well.
Played out fully last week.
I was miffed for two reasons. Firstly the team of Aleister Black and Ricochet although they then started teaming up on the main roster and they had a run in with Undisputed Era so that was explained. The second being that the Forgotten Sons got to win 2 matches and go to the final, I understood them beating Lorcan and Burch but don't know why they got the win over Moustache Mountain. Not that it matters as Black/O'Shea were always going to win but I'd have loved them fighting Moustache Mountain or even UE (with a change in the brackets) in the final.
I imagine it's just that this is the first time Forgotten Sons have done literally anything of note and they're actually going to start building them up from now even if they're not going to win the whole thing (though that wouldn't totally surprise me.)
I know that WWE loves breaking the 4th wall these days but I'm surprised they've let AJ talk about Keith's drug suspensions on TV.
The whole tag team competition was borked from the start, two teams of guys already called up to the main roster and one that's totally forgettable (it's even in the name!). So now we're left with a title match in which the result is either completely predictable or really fucking stupid.
