Yea Molly Holly at WM18, though Trish did also win it, I think on RAW.

GRADO won the title last night
I thought Raw was doing really well (who'd have thought basing it around meaningful wrestling matches where everybody appeared to be trying would work?) until it decided to end with the least enticing of the night's big matches, not booking it to involve anything approaching a surprise and then finishing with a fucking Divas contract signing.
So Taker and Kane destroyed all 4 members of the Wyatts last week and now they facing 2 members at SS.....
Roman's match was great. Got shit after, the Del Rio and Rey jnr jnr match was awful.
Wrestling logic.
Odd choice though, I just assumed it'd be a Survivor Series match. Do we have any of those actually booked yet?
Nothing yet, but they might throw some together on Smackdown because that's what counts as buildup now. When the tournament was announced I thought we'd at least have an 8-man series on the PPV, rather than just three matches.
My and my friend were lolling at having the ladies contract signing as the main event, but then Paige dropped the dead brother crack and suddenly it was the best Raw moment in ages.
They have confirmed a 5 on 5 tag but named no names.
Survivor Series is now in doubt because Anonymous reported ISIS were targeting it. WWE say it's going ahead as planned... but that could change.
I don't remember any pay pay views being beaten by terrorists when Don Cena was the champion. Funny that.
Google has Anonymous saying "Er, no, we didn't say that."
Anyway, in non-terrorist news that Survivor Series card is looking pretty weak. And whoever ends up in the 5v5 it's probably going to be a bit of a state.
Survivor Series is not a big 4 PPV anymore.
I might watch tomorrow night to see how they close out this tournament. Hoping for an Ambrose heel turn.
Someone's going to have to go heel, surely?
It should be Roman Reigns for two reasons. One, nobody likes him anyway. Two, how would you even know if Dean Ambrose turned heel?
At this point Reigns might as well borrow Dwayne's notes, join a heel stable and then wind up on Oprah talking about depression.
OSW review's X7 review is out. Its amazing.
Extra security for tonight's event. They REALLY don't want people getting in with CM Punk signs.
I wonder if they'll exploit the ISIS thing. I'd have said no, but they have just closed Raw by using Ric Flair's dead son without telling any of the parents.
Hopefully whoever turns doesn't end up joining 'the authority' and then trying to pussy out of every match or get disqualified for the next year. Seems like that's how they book every heel now, Baroque Lesnar aside.
That's probably true. SummerSlam is going to fall back to the pack, since it has nothing to make it stand out beyond the bullshit that usually comes with it. The Rumble is only worthwhile for the rumble match itself, and even then it's been pretty rubbish the last couple of years if I remember correctly.
At least MITB has some element of spectacle & importance, which is certainly more than can be said for SummerSlam & Survivor Series, but yeah, Rumble & Mania are the only two events with any real draw, particularly for casual fans, these days.
With the rumble, it does help if you don't know who the winner of the match is going to be about 6 months in advance.
The best thing about the last Rumble was the title match which was superb.
Survivor Series needs to have a properly built-up 5 on 5 match and SummerSlam... I'm not sure what they can do with that other than have it be the culmination of a number of big feuds. But that'd require planning and stuff.
I assume that back in the days of world titles not being on the line every five minutes the thing with the big four was that there would always be a world title match?
SS is the PPV I always hate the most due to theses 5 vs 5 crap. Because it's 5 on 5 the 1st guy gets pinned within 2 mins where if it was 1 on 1 the match it would have gone 10mins+
See also: the majority of tag team matches. Not inside two minutes but that's just what I'm going to call the Law of Inverse Resilience.
The more people in a team-based match (and even just in multi-person matches where people are on their own) the more quickly they get battered.
@Dan
Even MITB has lost something over the last few years for me purely because they mistreat so many of the winners. Ziggler and Sandow became jobbers, Sheamus has been inconsequential since he won it, Orton was booked like an arsehole when he had it. Rollins was booked better last year but nothing to shout about it. They need to realise that concepts like championships and MITB have to be treated with respect for people to actually care about the outcomes.
Same with the rumble.
Yeah the use of Sheamus has been bizarre. Yet another weak heel. Shock, horrow, etc. He was already onto a downer because Rollins' eventual cash-in was done so well so to have him looking so weak is poor.
Yeah, but terrible long term thinking when it comes to booking decisions is a problem across every event. At least with MITB we might get an exciting match out of it before everything goes to shit.
Anyways, what are we expecting to happen with the WWE title tournament tonight?
Roman v Ambrose. One of them to win dirty. Either that or Reigns wins and Ambrose beats him down after the match.
You're all going to be disappointed. Roman will win clean and Ambrose will raise his arm after the match to endorse him.
Reigns is winning anyway so they may as well have Owens do something scabby to get past Ambrose, lose to Reigns and then have them two feud while Reigns begins his own feud with.... erm....
.....
Hmm.
Anyway, No Way Out 2006 up next. The final match (I think?) of Booker and Chris Benoit's series should be decent and I've already seen that Angle/Undertaker match but I'm going to watch it again.
Survivor Series was good last year, and when they do the main match properly it's a great idea.
I think whatever happens tonight I'll cancel the Network until the Rumble, I just don't use it anymore. I'll watch tonight until it puts me to sleep.
I dunno whether I'll stick with paying for it every month once I've watched all the stuff I want to watch. But then, I'm fucking ages away from that.
The Curb Stomp was absolute perfect for him. And on the subject of high-flying stuff, has he ever actually hit that Phoenix Splash? I know there's a lot of stuff (mostly the Shield stuff) I've not seen yet but it always seems to be a set up for some variety of miss.
Anyway, going through No Way Out 2006 and the whole Matt Hardy/Tatanka thing is fucking random. (Skipped that one.)
I only found out really recently that Tatanka came back in the 2000s and had another run. I loved him as a kid.
Well, my network isn't working, so fuck it.
In general or right now? Because mine was working fine earlier but now seems to be fucking about.
Yeah I can't get on either. Looks like it's down.
Didn't realise there was another hour til kick off. Still can't be bothered to stay up for it so will catch it tomorrow. If it's working by then.
