    What's your money sink?

    If you've got one.

Mine is knife/kitchen stuff at the moment; want one more knife then I think I'll be satisfied for a while. I tend to go through phases though - I'll get really obsessive and blow a load of money into something until I'm happy, then find something else. Was keyboards/keycaps before knives. I'm sure there'll be something after.

It's lucky the girl isn't a spender or we'd end up destitute.

Socialising. We go out for drinks and food way too often. It's all good, but if we knocked it on the head we'd be able to afford about 6 holidays per year.

If you enjoy it, would holidays be a better option though anyway?

Drink and drugs. If I didn’t do them I’d save around 2500 a month.

Travel. It's a pain in the cunt having friends and family that live all over the place. And sometimes I just get bored and fuck off to wherever for a few days.

If by cans you mean cartons, and by Carling you mean milk.

Actually, Lewis seems more like a bottle man than a carton man.

It's not a massive 'money sink' as they don't cost that much each, but I still have an obsessive football scarf collection going. I'm up to about 50 clubs now (the rule is I have to buy it in the home town/city of the club, or commission someone going there to do it for me).

We had a history teacher at school who did this.

The entire ceiling of his classroom was covered in them (he pinned them up there). He was a top lad.

I used to do the same with football tops, but have since moved to scarves. Haven’t bought any in ages though.

Drinks are quite expensive here so I guess that’s something I could save a decent amount on even though my drinking is an odd pint here or there or a bottle of nice wine over the weekend if I would go teetotal.

Eating & drinking out, probably. And food in general, I'm a bit of a food snob and like cooking and what have you, and I always feel I have to buy really high quality meat and veggies, nothing pre-made, etc.

I never bring lunch to work because that’s depressing, so I always buy lunch, and where I work it’s impossible to get anything under $10, so that. Coffee too, $4-$6 a day on that shit.

Music related shit. Virtual synthesizers and plugins cost a ton.

    And finally, Juul pods.

I guess food and party supplies. I know I piss a lot of money up the wall but I get incredibly bored otherwise. The only thing that seems to really motivate me is going out.

I have a great old woollen Sampdoria scarf given to me by a couple of Italians. They were in Scotland on holiday and had decided to go to a game. I got talking to them in the pub after and ended up swapping scarves.

One day if I have a blank weekend I might just get in the car and tour as many Football League towns as possible to get all the scarves. What an exciting guy I am.

Great. Now I have an image of you walking up to Tynecastle, buying a scarf and immediately leaving with a grin on your face. It's not Football League but it's the ground I just remember being disappointed by.

I'm not sure I really have any. I always go out and get lunch but that's not that expensive. Maybe a fiver a day. I don't get anything that exciting but I just need to get out for a bit in the middle of the day.

I'm not very good at saving though either.

I've started making lunch recently (mainly because I can make more varied and interesting sandwiches than Steve Sainsbury's can). That is a far better motivation than the money one for carrying on doing it beyond 3 days.

I usually get one of those chilled tubs of soup from either M&S or Tesco and a crusty roll from the bakery section. If I was to make it at home, I'd be eating the same soup all week.

I used to have such wanker sinks the main one being speciality coffee. Nothing worse than someone taking themselves that seriously when a single origin filter is around.

I eat Subway when I'm at the office and a ham sandwich that I make myself when I'm at home. Variety doesn't bother me at all, I just want to make sure I get enough carbs for my calories.

When I was in Melbourne there were more independent coffee shops than didgeridoos. My sister, who works over there, said a lot of people will drive 15 mins during their lunch break for "proper coffee" instead of going to the onsite Starbucks/whatever.

    Fucking wankers.
