This weekend has been a complete letdown so far.
Saints-Eagles is needs to be an absolute classic.

A punt? They've turned to fucking shit.
The Packers could regret knocking back McDaniels.
well this game is shit
That replay from the field makes it look like he went over the ball and didn't control it.
Does Jim Nantz not make you all want to slit your wrists? I know him from golf where he is the most sycophantic saccharine twat in the business, I just put this on and I'm pretty sure that's his voice again.
It is.
He's not as bad as Al Michaels, Collinsworth and a couple of others though.
Troy Aikman is by far the worst though.
I have yet to sit through a whole game in which he has commentated.
Collinsworth. Now there's a guy.
I don't really think there's a single commentator for NFL that I enjoy listening to. Even Romo has gotten kinda full of himself after the initial "oMg hE rEalLy kNoWs FoOtBaLL" thing took off on social media.
Whoever it is, just be glad they're not Kevin Harlan.
There's a good reason for a power nap during the Superbowl anyway.
I know it's the way things are now, but is anybody going to bother to play defence in the playoffs or is that officially no longer a thing?
Makes for such shit games.
Was really hoping that unblocked edge rusher that made it to Brady was just going to full helmet kill him when he got it out to Gronk, but absent a flag I guess he didn't.
Eight kids? Try a condom, Phil.
If I was rich I'd have like 15 kids fuck that, why not?
Might make them less of spoiled little brats if they know daddy's riches will get split 15 ways and they might actually have to work a little bit.
If I was rich I'd have exactly the same amount as I have now.
If you were rich enough to raise fifteen children in comfort you'd be rich enough that splitting your cash fifteen ways would still mean retirement money for each of them. The proceeds from the sale of your sixteen bedroom house alone would set them up for life.
'Rich enough' or just live in Morcombe?
Fucking hell Game Pass is brutally behind, you could barely call it 'live'. Game hasn't even kicked off on it.
The worked out well for the Saints.
Especially as Graham never had that.
Damn we did not need that.
21-0 would have been hard to come back from. 14-7 could be coming up shortly.
I was questioning why they wouldn't go for it there but then they did.
I could have told the Eagles that was happening.
Our defence is losing players every other drive. Not a chance we keep this going all game.
Fucks sake. It was nice whilst it lasted.
Doesn't count but that was a nice pass by Hill.
Well it was good while it lasted but there's only one winner from here and I really need to be in work for 7.
I see the real reason that Murray lads 'heart is with football' now. He's hitting the A's up for another $15m to stay with baseball
When you think it might be game on and then that happens.
At least we got one close game this weekend.
Those first couple of drives for both teams were about as bad for the Saints as they could've been, but - as we're going to hear a thousand times - the fake punt got some momentum going & from then on Michael Thomas just started rolling. Sheldon Rankins going out with an ACL injury is a big blow, but the run defence was still strong & we remembered how to cover for the final three quarters.
Definitely need to consider getting replacements for Andrus Peat & PJ Williams this year - Peat's versatility is huge, especially as Terron Armstead gets hurt all the time, but he's clearly the weak link among the starters, and PJ Williams just isn't that good & never has been. I know Patrick Robinson is our slot guy when he's healthy, but it'd be nice to have a better option that PJ as the alternative.
We came out and started on fire. I said at the time not getting that extra score to take it to 21-0 whilst we were well on top, was pivotal. I don't think any team would come back on us from that far back.
In the end the effort to get this far with the back ups to our back ups playing in the back 4 was amazing. We also managed it without a decent RB really.
It's going to be an off season of difficult decisions now. We have to make a decision on Foles. It's more than likely time he is to be traded away. Given how he's gone in the last 2 seasons we'll likely get some good draft capital for him. Maybe even a first(hello Oakland). That's going to be hard to turn down. But my problem with this is two fold.
Firstly I think our style is much more suited to having Foles in over Wentz, but second, this is the 2nd straight season now Wentz has been unavailable for play-off time. Shows us we really ought to have a good back-up guy.
Top two linebackers in the class Devin White & Mack Wilson in, along with the second Iowa TE TJ Hockenson.
Still not seen anything official from Kyler, but he’s probably sitting watching the A’s roll wheelbarrows full of money to his door.
Kyler is entering the draft. With all his fucking about I hope he falls pretty far down the rounds then gets flattened in his first game. He seems like a proper little shithouse.
I don't know what he's thinking.
He has the physique of a teenager and will get mullered.
You'd need the greatest o-line of all time and tell him to never leave the pocket.
Wasn't going to watch him until he declared, so hopefully people will start throwing up cutups over the next few days, but just watching some of his game highlights:
- He's actually very good at protecting himself. I watched a couple of games & saw him run several times but he never took a big hit - only took contact on designed runs, when he scrambled he was always sliding or getting out of bounds. He's seriously fast too. Not Loomar fast, but 4.4 fast, and he's got great balance & change of direction. Might actually be a better open field runner than Jackson
- Kid has a big ol' arm for someone built like a thirteen year old. Can drive it to the sideline from the far hash & it'll scream there - not watched Haskins but he's up there with Drew Lock for strongest arm in the class. He's also got the baseball background that has helped out guys like Mahomes & Wilson when it comes to making all those crazy throws at weird angles.
- Accuracy is pretty good at all levels, although he is playing on a great team in the Big 10 where there are about four draftable defenders in the entire conference, so maybe that had something to do with it. Then again, that's what people said about Baker.
- CeeDee Lamb is a stud, and the 2020 WR class (along with most other parts of the class) is looking obscene.
Definitely more impressed with him than I expected to be. Not sure whether I'd actually give him a first round grade, but he'll go there - he's better than Loomar for sure, it's literally only the size that's the issue. If he was three inches taller he'd be a top 5 pick & nobody would question it. You just don't know how long his body will hold up if he does take some hits, and whether if that happens he'll suddenly start fancying baseball again.
I don't know if he will go in the first round.
He's shorter than Wilson (by 2 inches) and he dropped to round 3 because of issues regarding his height.
He probably has small hands so when that measurement is taken people will freak out.
Isn't the fact that Wilson has been successful despite the height a positive though? I don't think Kyler slides as far as Wilson did for the same reason. Wilson also didn't win a heisman though, did he?
I'd rather have kyler than Lamar. Watching kyler at Oklahoma you had faith he'd fine a receiver if required. The thing that will get him is the risk he flies off to another sport.
All the ‘he might go first overall’ sources were out before he declared, now immediately everyone’s sources are saying ‘second or third round’
I think it’s going to hang on how well he interviews & how much he participates in the offseason stuff like the combine compared to baseball stuff.
From what I've read he's not that good at baseball anyway (although it's hard to project) and the route to the top is far harder in baseball than it is in football, so he's as well taking the helmetball dollar and if he crashes and burns he can always do a Tim Tebow, who I was shocked to see rocking up in double A for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and actually posting some half reasonable numbers.
The As drafting him first round to start with was weird, think Billy Beane has been on the sauce or something.
