    Giving away items

I have bottles of spray-on deodorant that I don't use. You can recycle empty cans but the ones I have still have deodorant in them and would be waste if I throw them away.

What can be done with them? Become an arsonist. Create a deodorant art sculpture. Give them to the homeless

    Suggestions?

Sell them as a job lot on ebay. People will buy any old shit. Start it at 99p + postage.

Do food banks take hygiene items as well, or is there some equivalent? Maybe that.

Spray them til empty and then put them in the recycling. Or just recycle the full cans because nobody will know.

If they don't they'll know which shelter to give them to. Deodrant and socks are two of the highest requested items IIRC.

What Jimmy said. We did a collection at work for some sort of local homeless shelter before Christmas and cans of deodorant were one of the things they specifically requested that people donate.

I don't like to mix deodorant. I use one until I get immune to it which takes about a year and then move on. I have received them as gifts over the years, and if it isnt a brand I use at the moment or ive used previously, it gets shelved. Im not 14 anymore so I don't use lynx but I had 8 full bottles along with other brands which have now been donated. 22 bottles total (I through away roll-ons)

Roll-ons are horrendous fucking things. Why would you use a deodorant that makes you feel like you've been sweating for a week?

Roll-ons used to work for me. Driclor is still the best product ever invited by man. I just use sprays now though. I overcame the sweating problem I had

I like roll-ons. The best are the stick ones though. Like these:

    I don't really like sprays.

You fellas ever try the "soft solid" type? Ever since I found it I've never looked back, though a lot of your complaints about feeling it under your arms when you put it on would probably deter you.

It has little holes in the top and the deodorant comes through it and applies straight on almost like a paste. It honestly doesn't sound appealing whatsoever but i smell fantastic.

I have never given deodorant this much thought. I have one bottle on the go and it's whatever was the easiest to buy in the supermarket at the time.

I never got on with deodorant, anti-perspirant all the way. Those crystal stick things that last forever are the best but I haven't seen (or actually looked for) one in years.

Deodorants work for me like 96% of the time but like once a year I’ll get insanely itchy armpits for a few days. Drop the deodorant, start it back up a week later and all is fine again for another year

Driclor (best product ever invited by man) made me ridiculously itchy. Like, had to wash it off I was so itchy. Now I mostly use the red Right Guard spray.

I use Mitchum, it smells good. I use the roll on first while I get my stuff out the wardrobe then put the spray on.
Haven’t used doedrent since high school. Antiperspirant is just much better.

Do the people using deodrent use both or just deodrent?

I only ever use Driclor at night. Not sure if that's the directions they include, it's been so long since I first bought it.

You suppose to use it before you go to sleep at night. Becuase of the itching irration. Then in the morning, wash and dry your pits off, and then apply your normal deodrant if neccesary . I havent used driclor in a few years. Ive recomended to a few man and it is that good, some have refused to use it becuase they feel like it isnt healthy that it just stops sweat completely.

I couldn't sleep because it was so itchy. Might give it another try though.

I don't feel like I sweat as badly as I used to, but when ironing I've noticed the armpits of white shirts seem to discolour quite quickly.

That's the sweat reacting with aluminium in your antiperspirant.

    What's the solution?

Thankfully M&S do 3 for £30 shirts, and 3 long sleeved t-shirts for underneath are £12 on ebay, so I could replenish them every six months if needed, but I'd rather not.

Use driclor at night, and you don't need to use any during the day. It does sting and itch a bit for the first 10 mins, but you just need to bear it. After a few weeks it stops altogether (or it did for me, at least).

Got lots on this week (and don't want to smell in case it doesn't work) but Friday's quiet so Thursday night I shall!

Well, unless my Driclor is out of date or something.
