Just completed my final game to go 23-7 and reach my 2nd Elite placing of the year. Not sure if that's wise to have pushed on or not, but we'll see Thursday.
Last game felt like the other guys last game too. Very tight and methodical. But scraped the 2-1 win, so it's all good. It's also odd to be done with plenty of time to spare on a Sunday.
Feels like I've picked a bad week to do it, but you take what you can get.

My gut would be that these cards are going to cost much more than they have done in previous years, as it's easier to make coins than ever before this.
I want a marquee player myself and I think I'll spunk all my coins on one so I have something (interesting) to play for going forward. If I was to upgrade everyone incrementally then once the coins are gone the next upgrade is going to take a long time.

There's a good chance that the 1.8m (up to 1.9m on Thursday) will be enough for Modric or Varane TOTY's in a week or so, so I need to cash in. I'd rather do it before a new striker Prime Icon SBC turns up and further ruins the price tag too. I don't see him recovering by more than 100k.
I picked Salah (I feel dirty) because he fits in my team better.
Picked Griezmann as he'd be another one I'd want to use.
Tempted to do the Campbell SBC. Vieira, R9 and Henry are the only Icons I'd entertain doing now, and they'd surely need two Icons to complete (I still have Keane sat in my B Team too), so doing Campbell for 600k along with the packs back might be worth it. I'd like to give him a run too, as he looks better than Varane in the key areas, even if his total in-games come in at 1950 vs Varane's 1994 (both Shadows). At worst he sits in the B team ahead of IF Bailly until needed for a really appealing Icon SBC.
The bit putting me off is how much that 600k might be missed in a week or so once the TOTY's come down to around the 2m mark.

Actually while I was drawn to Marksman initially, you can put almost any chem style on him and it makes little difference (to how awesome he is).

I noticed that a few times when you were streaming the other day. Fair play to you for continuing to persevere with the game mode because I do the utmost minimum each week now, I can't be fucked with it most of the time.
Did Big Sol, making sure to buy 90% of the players rather than further deplete the club and buying two copies of players like Kroos and Neuer as I went as they’ve dropped so low. Got back a bunch of 85s, a couple of low rent IFs and a whole bunch of 82-83 transfer list fodder. Not great, but that’s me now on 2 Icons, 1.22m the bank and on the road back to a fully stocked club.
Gonna give Sol a go ahead of Varane and see if he’s an improvement.

I'd play you but I've sold Son on, so don't have a finished team right now. He played the last 18 WL games and finished with 14 goals and 10 assists. He was good, but not quite his old OP best. Maybe once he gets to 88 rated.
I'm sitting on the 900k for now. Elite 3 finish will net me 70k to add to that, a 100k pack that will discard for about 15k and the TOTW pack which at minimum will be 30k. That'll push me just over 1m.
I'm hanging fire to see what comes of POTM. It is in my eyes between ST Salah and ST Son. I'd expect either to cost 600k - 1m. Both of those would fill my RAM spot perfectly. It should be announced on Wednesday or Friday(they sprung Sterling on us on a Wednesday).
I'm looking at doing one of those or Ballack, unless anything mental happens with rewards.
