That's the third attempt which they left in. Huge pop from the crowd when he did it, more than likely due to them having seen him fail twice prior to that.
They also removed commentary on the match for a while apparently.
It was very odd to watch, no commentary and the crowd was totally silent.
Yeah, it's like watching a Japanese crowd .... like, at the start of a match.
That Vince/AJ video might be the worst thing I've seen in WWE, and it has some very tough competition.
You haven't watched little enough WWE for that to be true. It escapes that distinction by not being a 10 minute McMahon (in the last however many years which McMahon is sort of irrelevant) promo alone.

Tony Khan (I thought that was an amazing typo of Shad Khan at first) being involved, depending how much money he's prepared to put into it.
Fantastic news and they still did a great job of building up to it on Being the Elite, even though we all knew it was coming. I just hope they can form official partnerships with NJPW and maybe Impact as I think they will find it very hard to run shows / TV / PPVs as a bunch of guys who have only ever run a YouTube show. And secondly I think it would be a shame for guys like Cody and the Bucks to become exclusive and we miss out on dream matches with other promotions.
I'm excited for this, whatever form AEW takes.
They all do independent/non-affiliated shows alongside their ROH/NJ dates so I wouldn't expect a problem with working their own shows (and it would also make one if not two matches on Friday largely pointless) but I guess we'll see soon.

The Smackdown main event was fun, as was Becky in a promo with John Cena's wig.
Becky Lynch is great fun I could easily see her closing WM.
I reckon they stick with the big show format for this year at a least. NJPW are promoting them on Twitter and it is public Knowledge the Okada and the Bucks are best mates so should have access to that roster and you would assume Don Calis at Impact is eager to work with themas well as they are currently running Impact v insert ptomotion shows stm. They have poached behind the scenes blokes from ROH so all the sign point to a new type of territory system in place. Add Jericho to a group of people more than capable of drawing huge attention from WWE fans.

If there's any truth that they're planning to close Mania with a womens match (and there's no reason not to) I think Lynch has somewhat thrown a spanner in the Flair / Rousey works by getting so over. Obviously none of the obvious candidates for a big Rousey 'Mania match are on Raw with her at the moment anyway so after that bit with HHH on Smackdown I assume Carmella, Charlotte and Becky have a triple threat to face Asuka at the Rumble then whichever of Charlotte and Becky isn't facing her wins the Rumble and picks Rousey.
Becky beating Rhonda has far bigger upside than any of the other possibilities surely? Is Rhonda ever over?
Given how quickly she was shunted to the top of the card I think she's exceeded expectations. Her promos are still largely a bit rubbish but the crowds largely quite like her as long as she's not doing or saying anything Lynch-related.
Lynch winning would be the obvious though.
I may be wrong but she kinda feels like the first female Steve Austin?
By that I mean Anti hero.
