Won 5 Rivals games in a row which is a record for me. Felt seriously good too.
Just played a 6th and it was a limp 0-0. I was the better team but he was so lucky, every 50/50, every deflection etc etc it all fell kindly to him.
Up to 13888 skill rating now and 1731/2000 for FUT champs.
Quite close to rank 1 in division 5, usually I stop at rank 3 so I might push to get those extra FUT champ points and the added 2 rare players packs (untradeable)
Oh and considering this is my team for the foreseeable future here are the current stats:

I'm a little surprised that Salah doesn't have more goals and assists as he seems to always be around the ball and seems to score more frequently in my mind. Might be due to the handful of disconnects though.
Edit: It also pains me having so little production from my full backs when last year they were lethal for me. Might even bring in more defensive minded guys though to further shore things up at the back.

Think I'm going to sell Shearer. He's very good but for the coins I think I can do better.
Find myself constantly irritated by how sluggish he is on the ball so maybe he just doesn't suit my style of play.
Still an issue linking the players I want to use without an icon though. Hopefully they revamp this system next year, someone suggested SBC/Special players getting a +1 which would be nice.
Does Salah have a real face Mahow?

Mahow is right. If for example Spurs win a leg and then beat Dortmund overall, you're looking at 2 upgrades for Sanchez and Aurier.
Decided to try a few players out this weekend to see how they fare and something is really really off with the gameplay tonight. I find myself 4-1, being the first time I've not won my opening 5 on the trot. 2nd game I came up against a monstrosity of a team and the opponent was a good player too. That's always a bad time. I'm actually quite lucky to not be 2-3. Games 4 and 5 both going to extra time and the last one to penalties.
Here is the team I've given a go. As usual it's 4-2-3-1 in game.
The main ones I wanted to test were the trio on the left there. All of the pros swear to Sandro as the best LB in the game and Chiellini looks his usual self. Dybala seemingly Messi-lite. But as I said something felt off. I'm usually an aggressive tackler and it serves me well, however I've been doing as I normally do and find the ball going through my players a lot, leaving me quite exposed.
If I'm honest I'm not sure I get the hype on Sandro from those 5 games, but it's too early to judge that.

This is my absolute bargain bucket La Liga team. Despite forwards being the most fun place to spend money, I've grown rather attached to my front 3, Prommes and Dembele especially. Was thinking about swapping Wass and Trigueros for Modric and 86 rated CL Saul.
All those new champ league cards are the type of cards we should be getting for the remaining futmas promo.

Had a bit too much Christmas cheer and hit 12,000 FIFA points when I got in, presumably in a drunken effort to pack Ben Yedder.

Ive got an issue where regardless of what the player postions are, if you go to the in game stats screen. Your player postions are all mental. Kante at RW and Lucas at CDM. It cost me a victory.
It tracks your wins but I want to see how many wins my friends list has compared to how many games they have left.
It's a known glitch. They got rid of it once, but now it's back again.
On the subject of cheap SBCs, Sterling is now 230k and Keane and Rui Costa are both 670k. Seems like good value all around there.
I had the same thoughts with so many good cards about right now. Did it for 50k with having a well stocked, 2300 player club.
Pulled Sterling, Manolas, Casimeiro and Mbappe, that’s not far off a free Roy Keane for me.
Not sure he’ll get I my FUT Champs team but I needed a cheap Icon for whenever Vieira/Henry drop, so I’m bloody delighted I took the plunge.
Went ahead and decided to go with this:
Keane is a loan for now and that in game after him and Pogba flip. I really liked him in the couple of games I tried him for yesterday. I am contemplating replacing Mahrez with Neymar. I could get him on 7 chem and still play that formation with an in game switch.
Also, based on completely nothing I think they will drop Luke Shaw for FUTMAS tomorro. I dont think they will miss a chance to put another United player in and I cant see who else it would be that hasnt already got a special card (I know a few who got cards already had one but they seem to have tried to stay away from that).
Just packed Felipe Luis and IF Gummy from the Keane 84 SBC. How is he only 54k
2 games in and Keane is shite. At least he probably cost me 200k net in assets, and will go into a better icon long term. I’ll give him a run ahead of Torreira in the B team too and see if I can get on better with him having a different midfield partner (RTTF Milinkovic Savic).

On the face of it Keane looks a bit like a Fabinho but stronger and can pass as a trade off for the height. So I'd be interested to see what's up with him.
90 Van Nistelrooy at under 700k is interesting me.
Primarily his passing, even with an Engine. I normally have Kroos (Eng) or Paulinho (Cat) and Koke off the bench who all 90+ passers with their boosts so I guess that’s the issue. He also just seems to lumber around a bit with not a shred of elusiveness, without the midfield breaking defensive ability I thought he’d have to make up for it. Not my kind of CM, but I’d somewhat anticipated that anyway.
I may buy middle Petit as I really enjoyed employing his LB baby in midfield in draft.

Yeh, I think that's it. I mean for context - Kroos is the lesser of Paulinho in my opinion, and I'm still erring more towards Paulinho than Firminho too when I employ him in midfield. I want the physicality, decent defence, High attacking work rate, decent shooting and decent defending, and they need some kind of pace and elusiveness. Basically, I want it all. I've also really enjoyed Kondogbia and Matuidi at CM this Fifa, and Rabiot as well was pretty great for his stats. It's all making me think I might go for Vieira or Petit as my Arsenal 'hero' rather than (or at least before) going for Henry this year.
As you said though, it's worth doing it (or Rui Costa/Campbell) even if you're not going to use them/don't work with your playstyle because you can then use them for the icons that need icons.
Gameplay has felt like absolute arse today.
Passes rolling a 2mph, passing moves where everyone's off balance and reaching to control the ball, custom tactics seemingly being ignored (my defensive one resulted in about 2 players in my own half from a goal kick a minute ago), it's just all shit.
Somehow I've maintained a positive record though.
I'm hoping to play the full 30 this weekend. Gold 1 the target. I just don't think I'm in the zone to push for Elite, but Gold 1 seems a must. Those 100k packs with that stuff in packs.
We could easily see another Van Dijk TOTW item as well.
With him being in packs for most of this week as UCL Live I wouldnt expect it.

Van Aanholt is tempting, for the strong link to VDV, but I already have a red Robertson and the former doesn’t feature in my squads anyway at the moment.

Futbin has it at over 100k, so It's the same level of (not) worth it that Iniesta was.
Then in that case you are right. Not worth it at that price for slightly better national links.
It's another disappointing set really. Tis a shame.
EDIT: Scrap that, didn't realise Coutinho was 130k. Might be worth it that.
