I'm optimistic for some reason. 2-1 Bournemouth it is.

Home banker on Monday night - Huddersfield who haven't scored at home this season, against our awful, leaky back line.

The Macho Man's drop-off is pretty incredible. I know he was shit towards the end at Chelsea, but he was sound last year. What happened over the summer? I can't remember anything like it since Rio Ferdinand took three months realising his legs had gone, but he could change his game accordingly. In midfield you're a bit fucked.

I stayed in the same hotel as Torquay United a couple of weeks ago. To say they were getting stuck into the full breakfast buffet would be a severe understatement.

That's not offside, is it? Didn't interfere first time, then level second time.

Yeah, they've just had their referee recap on BT there. Whoever they have on said it should've stood.

He's actually behind the ball when Firmino shoots.

Burnley look knackered at the back. Didn't realise Huddersfield and Fulham were playing on Monday. I can't see that ending as a draw.

Thought that was a good performance, got a bit lucky with an offside here and there but felt there was a shape and the defense held up for the most part.

@Reg that's what Xhaka can do by the way.

That tackle on Salah was lush. Torreira is either going on to become a club legend or he's off to Barcelona in 9 months. Bellerin looks decent for the first time in a couple of years as well.

Credit to Arsenal on the first few months without Wenger. I would have bet my life that would fall worse than Man Utd did when Ferguson left but they have started the season very well.

Arsenal have done better there by bringing in a manager with a bit of pedigree. Not just one whose biggest achievement was not getting Everton relegated in 10 years.

Felt like the first dropped points of the season yesterday. Arsenal played well, but were there to be beaten with better finishing/a bit of luck. I can sort of see why the lino stuffed up Mané's goal, but it's a big and fairly unforgivable error. Sticks in the throat a bit after all the phases of play bullshit we were subjected to last season as well.

Personally I think it should probably be offside (as he clearly makes a move towards the ball from his offside position), but with the modern interpretation I don't think he was 'interfering'. It's probably my fault as I drafted him back into my fantasy team. Goal probably stands if I hadn't done that. Milner and Neves mired on the bench as well.

Used a free hit chip to make sure I had as many Liverpool players involved/captained as possible. Paid off big time.

That was the mongo defender's fault I reckon, but lol all the same.

Does Bielsa bring his own bucket to games, or scavenge for one to sit on from the apparatus available at each ground?

Rooney to play one last time for England as they're turning the USA friendly into, effectively, a testimonial.

    What a crock of shit.

Loftus-Cheek, Barkley and Kovacic all after one spot is a bit tough. I suppose he’s been scoring recently but Barkley is awful to watch. So many touches.

Christensen and David Luiz after the madcap defender role is a bigger worry for me. If we lose the former for the sake of eking another year of tomfoolery out of the latter, we're doing it wrong.

As for the midfield spot, Kovacic shits on the other two. Ruben is a highlights reel player, albeit a useful battering ram. Barkley could be something, but I dunno.

Yeah, Kovacic is a proper player. Luiz was awful there but Christensen hasn’t had a good game since the start of the year.

He's far from alone in this ill-conceived Fulham side, but Timothy Fosu-Mensah looks like football and he have had only a passing acquaintance.

Of these two, you'd think Huddersfield wouldn't change that much were they to get relegated and would be a decent Championship side. Fulham, on the other hand, fucking hell.

Hope they hold off sacking Slavisa until the international break.

I don't know if Seri is like this every week but he's having a proper 0/10 here, and worse still, is visibly not trying. Monday night at Huddersfield syndrome for a few chaps like him, Vietto another laughable example earlier.

I thought Seri was very good when I saw him at Brighton, but I think that might have been an outlier on a number of levels.

    He'll be this year's Shaqiri.

Utterly awful performance from Fulham yesterday. With Liverpool away coming up next week before the international break, you have to wonder whether that is it for Slavisa. There's no shape or organisation defensively, but that said, the players have not shown any fight and clearly have no confidence.

If Liverpool are on it and Fulham's defence is true to form then that could get a bit messy.
