That was the third and last Maguire film, which was abysmal. Probably the worst Marvel film so far.
They've gone 'back to the start' once, incidentally.

Yeah the latest isn't standalone, just Spiderman in with some other superheroes is it?
There's still been a standalone film, but he'd already been in another MCU film before it and Iron Man still turned up in his film. They also haven't bothered with the origin stuff this time, which is a great decision.
I watched Jigsaw the other day.
It was alright and I could watch Tobin bell in that role all day long.
Those early Spider Men had good villains (or at least good actors acting good), but you watch them now and they are laughably dated.
Yeah I saw a bit of one recently and thought that. Still love the action in Spider-Man 2 and specifically the train fight.
Are there any good websites that allow you to browse what films are on Netflix in a (much) better way than their shity interface does?
It really is amazing how such a popular service can have such a terrible interface.
Watched Mandy tonight. Ummm yeah...it’s good!
Second half is some Cage at his most Cage!
Sicario: Day of the Soldado didn't disappoint.
Not as good as the first but still some great, tense scenes. Benicio Del Toro is the man.

Cold War is a quality foreign film.
Really enjoyable drama about love during the Cold War.
The two leads perform really well, especially Joanna Kulig.
Can easily see it winning the Foreign film Oscar.
Finally watched Rudy. Really odd story.
So I finally got around to Alien Convenient. I watched Prometheus earlier this year and then directly after, I was recommended Alien Convenient so I decided to watch earlier this year but I didn't get far.

The latest Jurassic World film. Fuck me, it's bad. Really bad.
It's so bad it almost becomes a twisted commentary on itself. It's genuinely reprehensible that they've taken the DNA of Jurassic Park, a masterpiece, and made that hateful nonsense.
Went and saw a simple favour tonight.
What a fucking weird film.
You know what? A Star Is Born was outstanding, and showcases the emotive power of music in a way that I can only remember La La Land doing before. Almost all the songs were original compositions (mostly written by Bradley & Gaga), and every one has so much extra depth with the background of the story on top of it. Bradley Cooper donned it, and Gaga was great as well - if she didn't sing in it you'd probably believe she was an actor by trade, but then she does sing & you're reminded that her voice is unbelievable.
I'm going to have Shallows in my head for days too. It was bad enough after seeing the trailer, but now I'm just utterly doomed.
I liked Blackkklansman a lot.
Suicide Squad, which I watched yesterday, barely has a redeeming feature.
What possessed you to watch suicide squad, given it's universal condemnation?
Sicario 2 has its moments but it isn't a patch on the original, and fuck me what an unsatisfying ending.
Three Identical Strangers is a fantastic documentary. Don't watch the trailer.
At the other end of scale, I have Hard to Kill on while doing SBC's in FIFA.
I was confused when I Googled that before realising I was thinking of Hard Target.
"Mason Storm" is such a Seagal character name.
It is indeed.
I assume he would have revisited the character had a pornstar not misappropriated the name.
I watched "Hold the dark" last night. Really well shot, great vistas and the dialogue sounded like it could be scary. The only problem was it was all complete bollocks and made no sense.
The Tom Hardy love train on Facebook is in full swing I see.
The Venom trailer doesn't feel me with confidence and I REALLY want the Dark Phoenix film to be incredible.

Tom Hardy is crap. FACT.
Yep. I've been banging that drum for a long time.
One of the best actors around when he's on point.
The Revenant, Legend, The Drop, Locke, Warrior and Bronson - the man's legit. Also decent in W Delta Z.
Its a tired debate we've done though.
I've been watching the Saw films again, and while mostly fluff, the ending of Saw V is properly good.
In preparation for the new one, I've been watching the Halloween series over last few weeks. Number 3 gets a bad rap rather unfairly I think. It's a bit ridiculous and camp, but it's not as bad as reviews make out. I think people hated it because it wasn't a Michael Myers film. Great ending, though.
H20 hasn't aged well. I loved it when I was a kid, but it's generic 90s crap really.
4 was better than I remember. I'd actually say it's better than 2. About to watch 5 in a while.
I thought Mandy was going to be the most insane film I've seen all year but Await Further Instructions tops it, and its cracking fun.
Yeah, this new one represents the fourth timeline of the entire franchise.
I really enjoyed a star is born, lady gaga is great.
Solo really isn't much good. That's five Star Wars prequel films they've made now and only one has been a genuinely good film. The constant need to explain things fucks their whole canon up the same way giving xenomorphs a history retroactively fucks Alien up.

Which was the good one so I don't need to sift through the rest?
Rogue One.
Never would have thought of Christian Bale as Dick Cheney.
It's mad how much he looks like him. Whoever saw that has got a spectacular eye.
That looks good. Steve Carell in a serious role? Hook that shit up to my veins.
The most lol thing about that is Tyler Perry as Colin Powell. He probably doesn't even know who Colin Powell is.
Looks a bit like Chevvy Chase in the still above.
I watched Green Room last night and it was pretty solid. Nothing amazing and I doubt I'll revisit it and I think Patrick Stewart was a bit wasted on it but I enjoyed it all the same.
