You're unlikely to get rewards that'll make the 15k worthwhile, but the start of the game is the best chance you have.
My squad. It's quite horrible. Having no pack luck at all so far. Have 20k in coins. Aubaymeng ofcourse is on loan. Could've swear when I opened the SBC it wasn't shown as a loan.

Team im currently using. I'm not too concerned about getting any players at the moment. I'm still feeling out the gameplay. Target man does not really work with two strikers ive noticed. The High/High workrate of full backs is nice to have. Coleman is rock solid.

I've dropped it down to World Class and am slowly getting to grips with it. It seems to get my players to make runs, I need to be almost as deep as possible whilst simultaneously pressing the ball to buggery and telling my players to move it quickly.

Aye. I'm sure it's alright to play and the framing of Ultimate Team adds a lot of weight to it, but I prefer football to be a little less fantasy.
How does PES handle the AI?
The problem FIFA has is that if the AI doesn't keep the ball (or stick 11 men behind the ball), it's a piece of piss to beat it.
Sneaked into Elite 1 and while I won't be there come the 5PM update, it's very much game on.

I haven't ran into that. Well, I've seen one weird bit of indecisiveness. I'll stream some later on and put the AI through it's paces. The problem with stuff like that is, if you can't recreate it, you can't patch against it. From watching The True Brits, he moans about low crosses being spammed by the AI but even that's not a universal sentiment. I'm wondering if that's format specific with him being on PC. Even so, Konami are getting a patch together for the end of October so there must be something they can tweak.
I don't know much about the OTW market, but is Promes' price not going down because Sevilla are playing later?
Usually they slowly build in price up til team news. If Promes plays his price will rise as people gamble. If he scores one, or especially two he'll rocket up in the hype.
I finished that draft mode 4-0 and got two jumbo gold packs. Opened the first and pulled a Neymar. I'M RICH LADS.
I'm sitting here laughing out loud. I feel like I've won the fucking lottery.
Upgraded both sides in goal, with Lloris also putting me in a good place to bring in Umtiti and Hernandez in place of Bailly and Shaw in time for the weekend league, if I can offload IF Gundogan for 70k and make another 20k through coin boosted matches. Eventually, I'll want Varane alongside Umtiti, as he looks like 2016 era Boateng. That'll mean a change in midfield and right back too though, which at the moment, so I'll need plenty more than just the 160k for Varane himself to do that. Pretty confident I'm close to my full pre-Xmas team though which will allow me to sit back and cherry pick SBC's whilst picking up coins to save my way to Mbappe and Prime Henry and a single squad club eventually.

Pickup up OTW Promes for 94k, he'll no doubt drop in price now, but I sold the original I had for 37k, so I'll take that.
Also decided to do the Lucas SBC, but trying to be quite thrifty about it.
495k in the end. Chuffed.

Yev, do icon prices fluctuate much? I'm going to get one for certain but I'll wait if the prices are due to come down in time.
They'll come down a fair bit for the Black Friday promo, but it's whether you want to wait that long.

When is Promes next game? If he still has a chance to play a league game this week, he will go back up again. Best time to sell OTW players is during the game. They go back down once the game finishes. If they play well, and there is a chance for them to get into TOTW, they go back up again on Monday and Tuesday.
Last year I was buying OTW James before his Bayern games and selling him during the game after he got an assist or goal. You can make 20k a card on the higher ranked players.
You don't really want to buy OTW cards and hold them unless your planning on using them for the long run.

Looking at last nights goals. Mandzukic scored two goals in a win vs Napoli. Im going to stock his gold card as there is a high chance he gets an IF. His gold card should increase if he gets an IF
What do you make of him? The stamina has put me off.
I only bought him as a sub and because he was so cheap. Seems ok so far, but only used him for about 20 minutes.

Talking of AI in FIFA, the more and more I play Squad Battles on this the more pointless doing anything else other than creating space on the edge of the box and going for a timed finesse becomes.

They've essentially muffed the engine if one has to resort to that.
I do have a question though. In FIFA 18 if you went All out Attack a centre back would join the strikers. Now All Out Attack has gone in FIFA 19, can you still make that happen?
I found it to be a very effective tactic against the AI in 18 and I'm missing it somewhat.
if you press down on the d-pad there is an option for sending a CB as an ST. I think there option ks there. There is definitely an option to make the ST drop back on defence.

There's an extra striker option, however that doesn't seem to move a centre back up there. However, it looks like you can do it in the actual player instructions page.
