Are Inter fashionable again? Have we come full circle to 'Serie A, mate'?
Are Inter fashionable again? Have we come full circle to 'Serie A, mate'?
I do believe we have. Largely based on the permanently marketable nostalgia for when current 35 year olds were 13. I can't wait for the Miss Dynamite revivals in a few years, aimed at me.
Surely those are all as terrible as they were the first time round.
PSG are wank, but both that game and the one against Spurs at the weekend would have ended as massively disappointing draws last season (or worse). What a time to be alive.
Sonique was back in the charts recently.
I can't deal with so-called 'Ayek Athens'. I've been calling them Ay Ee Kay all my life.
Full fucking circle.
I think Jimmy is onto something here.

Damn Ms. Dynamite references
I don't think I've seen anyone but Floyd mention Ms. Dynamitee-ee since she done that song on the FIFA soundtrack.
She seems to be a real touchstone in your life, Floyd.
I'd hoped Sky losing the Spanish football would mean a long overdue escape from the reach of Guillem Balague, but there he is, plebbing it up with James Richardson.
For some reason she embodies the 2001-3 period for me, for some reason, which is also the period when I was 13-15, my time of minimum life stress (as it is for most people) and therefore my permanent nostalgia touchpoint for marketing professionals to target.
Other cultural touchstones of that specific period: CM 01/02, reverence for Sven-Goran Eriksson as a genial professor figure, lolling at 'Dubya' being stupid, Rhona Martin winning the curling, the Dowler/Huntley murders (a real golden age for British child murder), Iain Duncan Smith, and The Office.
I think it ended when Outkast released 'Hey Ya', or possibly the decline of Craig David.

The rise and fall of Craig David, you mean.
I'm a twit
Lyon
Delph is horseshit.
Ronaldo is an absolute trumpet.
Crying down the tunnel too, lol.
That's fucking lovely by Pogba.
That's a ridiculously harsh penalty.
Pogba's run ups are so crap but he always seems to score.
lol at City.
Ronaldo seems to have been sent off for quite literally no reason at all in the other game.
That Juventus kit is stunning. Ronaldo’s winning the tournament again so he’ll get the last laugh as usual.
Man Utd’s midfield and attack tonight should be their starting line up for the foreseeable. Sanchez for Rashford at a push.
Sanchez is going to turn into Albert Pujols, coming off the bench in the Checkatrade Trophy in 2023 for a quarter of a million a week.
Is Sanchez still shit? He can't still be tired can he?
City are buggering up my 6 game bet here
Ronaldo just wants the group stage off to model professional his way through another tough season. Was Diego Dalot any good?
Damn it, should have made that a "d-alot to do" joke.
Sigh, missed opportunities.
Let's go again: Was Diego Dalot any good?
From what I saw, he's got Dalot.
Die.
You're ruining it for everyone.
Are you Shaw? I think you just need to look at this from the other side.
I'm sorry about this Webly.
This is all revenge for that time in the food thread nobody cared about his boiled sweets or whatever it is he makes.
Good to see City following in PSG's footsteps and stinking things up. How can they only get 40,000 to come and watch? Can you genuinely not buy fans?
You can't buy midweek fans. Liverpool specialise in that because it's that or another night of rooting through the bins. Bigger cities, less so.

On the topic of Sanchez I traded him out in FPL for a -0.3 loss yesterday, so he will without a shred of a doubt score a hattrick this weekend.

This story about Spurs stadium construction is quality. People drinking cans and doing coke in the toilets first thing in the morning and getting in fights with each other
