I should really resist as I won't touch it as soon as FIFA19's out, but it does sound very good.

Have any of you played an actual game of football on this or just binned wads of cash on cards? Surely a sticker album would suffice and be a lot cheaper then. Do they still make those?
I've played a season of CFM with the Chargers while I try to figure out sliders. That Franchise Guy's roster has come out now, so I'm just making a few tweaks to that then I'll get to setting up a proper CFM save.
What are these sliders everyone mentions? I seen a load of slider things in stuff to download too.

They adjust the gameplay, so you can tailor the game to your skill level. There are human sliders & CPU ones, so you can make your run blocking better, or make it so that the CPU has better pass coverage & things like that.
Well... I just got my pre-order shit. What the fuck.
Getting so many errors which forces the game to close.
Can't play Terrell Davis's challenges and I can't do the third in the diamonds.
Strange, I haven't had any errors at all.
The pre-order stuff came too late to help me. Went for Elite Collins as he was the only guy who would get in my team.
First 100 yard+ pick 6 of the year for me.
Fully upgraded Casey Hayward and Ray Lewis
I'll also have Deion Jones done when I can buy his regular card.
Just pulled a DRC platinum card which quick sells for 60k.
Did an NFL Veterans set in the hopes of pulling Suggs so I could complete his power up but instead I got my second choice in Marshawn Lynch:
He's by far the best power back in the game right now and power backs are absolutely fucking lethal, they just go through people.
Also, here's how to get a free pack which could be great:

Go to quick play against the Madden Elite, just do 1 minute long quarters and sim the game.
Edit: Two golds and 3 silvers for me, meh.

Got an Elite Alex Smith who was 2 points better than Wade/Dak so I put him in. First game I threw 3 picks with him in the first half to be 0-10 down and Wade came in and lead us to a 16-10 victory. Second game (I forgot to remove him) Smith throws a pick on our first play and after they turn it into a TD Wade comes in at 0-14 and turns it into a 17-14 win. Never using Smith again, but gutted I can't sell him.
Wade (there are 3 versions) is actually really well rounded, especially the Elusive one which is the best:
https://www.muthead.com/19/players/50429456-devin-wade
He's one of the best mobile passers as well as being bang on the money at pocket passing (2 points less than Smith at pocket passer and west coast with 4 points less at the deep ball although he has a touch more throw power). At this stage mobile guys are probably best as the better technical passers are way too expensive.
Doing the rookie gauntlets but I've been struggling on the rushing ones but I've just found a technique using a wildcat formation on the Vikings playbook.
I've heard that suggestion, but honestly I just used HB toss and flipped it to the left because my LT was immense. Was super easy.
I kept seeing Lynch being taken down by 3 guys inside the final 5 yards.
Don't use Lynch, use Ajayi, he was easily good enough for me. I'm assuming Lynch is slower?
Oh, and spin move. I had to pull off like 3 of them per attempt.
I have the 86 Lynch:
https://www.muthead.com/19/players/60206-marshawn-lynch
He's amazing.
New team:
QB: Devin Wade (81 Elusive version)
RB: Marshawn Lynch (86, Veterans)
WRs: Antonio Brown (89, Elite), DeAndre Hopkins (88, Elite), Tyreek Hill (83, Elite)
TE: Greg Olsen (85, Elite), Jimmy Graham (83, Elite)
FB: Patrick Ricard (81, Elite)
OL: Nate Solder (82, Elite), Kelechi Osemele (84, Elite), Mike Pouncey (78, Gold), Brandon Schreff (84, Elite), Jack Conklin (83, Elite)
FS: Lamarcus Joyner (85, Elite)
ROLB: Terrell Suggs (84, Power Up)
MLB: Deion Jones (88, Power Up), Ray Lewis (91, Team Captain)
LOLB: Demarcus Ware (87, Power Up)
SS: Andre Hal (81, Elite)
CB: Rod Woodson (89, HOF), Casey Hayward (87, Power Up), Marcus Peters (85, Elite)
RE: Myles Garrett (83, Elite)
LE: JJ Watt (93, Power Up)
DT: Vita Vea (87, Rookie Gauntlet)
Finally got Vea and I've been quick selling a lot of players (those who are 149 coins or less per training point) that were in my binder to get some of my power ups boosted. Had to spend some real money, grind solos and spend some coins to get all the collectibles to do all the Watt stuff too but he's fucking mega.
I've also got Hopkins's power up card but I need 291 more training points to finish him off.
Edit: Bought an 85 Champ Bailey legend card which is about 77 coins per training point. So Hopkins is now at 89.

There's an eSports tournament for this going on. By the sounds of it someone stood up from the crowd and opened fire with a handgun.
Btw, tapping R2 makes your players go a lot quicker than just holding it for some stupid reason.
So I've just spotted this:
They actually have pack probabilities. If this isn't in FIFA we riot.
Yea, I figured that was common knowledge.
Not really enjoying UT at this point though, just feels like there's no real way to upgrade my team without getting a bunch of training, and that seems hard to come by. May have to start a franchise.
I quicksold near enough everyone in my binder that I wasn't going to use for training.
I also use this:
https://www.muthead.com/prices/playstation-4
85 coins per training point is usually my margin when buying. I've also heard that a good time to buy is when new legends are released you can pick up 85's for around 25k (Baldwin, Jimmy Smith and P/K are usually the best) and they will quicksell for 375 points.
Yea, I probably should do that, but then I always think am I better off selling them to buy different players to use for training... and then I can't be bothered to do that.
MUT makes no sense to me. Not one for Longshot either.
I have, however, almost managed to nail down a set of CPU v CPU sliders that works pretty well. I've been tweaking That Franchise Guy's roster with some trait edits that were suggested on Operation Sports (shame TFG finished his roster before AP got added in, but nevermind), and also changed a few ratings & added a couple of players, so now I'm really just waiting for his 2019 draft class & the final rosters to get confirmed, then it'll be time to get started on a proper franchise.
Did a season with the Chargers, then a couple with the Redskins on my second test file, and now I'm on to v3 with the Titans, who have just moved to 3-2 on the season after beating the Bills 26-13. Typically the two losses were the two divisional games
Longshot is bollocks. The Devin Wade card you get for MUT (the elusive one, the other two suck) is pretty decent though.
I have now moved on from him though as I've completed the gauntlet and I've picked Baker Mayfield who is incredibly close to Aaron Rodgers's base card.
Supposedly Mayfield isn’t a great choice because of how many QBs the other modes give out, but I’m yet to unlock the one that gives you Wentz.
What is the best way to earn Gatorade tokens?
Can always re-roll with a gold token which I probably will when I go to Wentz.
Solo challenges, the gatorade objectives, cold hard cash or sniping the players on the auction are the only ways.
1 one of those players can be put in a set for 2 tokens but they go for about 13k a pop.
Done the diamonds and I decided to pick the Jaguars for every pack to try and get Ramsey and/or Bouye as I have their powerups.
Fuck all in the gold packs but I did get Bouye in the NAT Elite pack. His 85 (highest power up without the Elite) has been a brilliant CB4 for me. He's blocked about 6 field goals and got a fair amount of picks when he's been on the field. Up to an 88 now so he'll be my CB2, Power up Casey Hayward will be my CB3 and Peters Elite will be my 4.
That knee flick up skill
Weekend League/MUT Champions is free to play this week as the qualification rounds were cancelled so decided to play my first online game. Guy was moving the ball quite well against me but only passes. After 3/4 I managed to pick him off but could only get 3 points. He went back on attack and I got a few sacks and then this:
Landon Collins
He quit as soon as I scored.
Madden reeeeally wants you playing Ultimate Team.
Because they make shit loads of money on it.
I can't see anything other than it being completely pointless.
Been a while so here is my team:
QB: Baker Mayfield (87, Gauntlet), Patrick Mahomes (86, Rising Stars)
RB: Ezekiel Elliot (91, Power up), Saquon Barkley (88, Master), Chris Carson (86, Rising Stars)
WRs: Antonio Brown (93, Power up), DeAndre Hopkins (89, Power up), Tyreek Hill (87, Power up)
TE: Zach Ertz (88, Power up), Greg Olsen (86, Power up)
FB: Patrick Ricard (81, Elite)
OL: Jonathan Ogden (90, Power up), Garret Bolles (87, Rising Stars), Kelechi Osemele (88, Power up), Alex Mack (91, Power up), Marshal Yanda (87, Power up), Jack Conklin (83, Elite)
FS: Lamarcus Joyner (89, Power up), Malik Hooker (87, Rising Stars)
ROLB: Terrell Suggs (90, Power Up)
MLB: Deion Jones (88, Power Up), Ray Lewis (92, Team Captain), Ryan Shazier (84, Master), Dylan Cole (86, Rising Stars)
LOLB: Ryan Kerrigan (91, Power Up)
SS: Landon Collins (88, Power up)
CB: Rod Woodson (89, HOF), Casey Hayward (91, Power Up), Patrick Peterson (89, Power up), Marcus Peters (88, Power up), A.J. Bouye (87, Elite)
RE: Myles Garrett (83, Elite), Jonathan Allen (86, Jonathan Allen)
LE: JJ Watt (93, Power Up)
DT: Vita Vea (87, Rookie Gauntlet)
Currently at 88 overall with the following chems: Lock Down (tier 6), Zone Run (tier 5), Go Deep (tier 5), Pass rush (tier 5). I also have Ray Lewis with Secure Tackler, Watt and Suggs with Situational pass rusher and Casey Hayward with pick specialist.
I've currently done 148/173 towards the Journey so hopefully that will be done soon. I'll also have the second gauntlet soon (although I doubt I'll need any of them) and I'm currently hitting ultimate on Solo Battles including a 55-0 win with 5 interceptions against a Cam Newton led team on All-Madden.
Edit: Just replaced Garrett with Jurrell Casey (90, Power up).

Highly doubt I'll stay here but:
Seeing as 2019 was the only game I've came bought in the last 5 years that I didn't hate and actually played, has anyone played 2020 and is it worth a purchase over 19?
I have it and it's fairly different.
I can't really comment on Franchise mode as I only play the Ultimate Team.
Pass rushing is a lot more lethal now, aggressive catches have been tuned down, the game is a bit slower, QB wind ups are slower and they've tried to make different guys feel unique with X-Factor/Superstar abilities.
Pack pull rates in Ultimate Team are also vastly improved. I opened about 6000 total packs last year and didn't pull a single Limited card yet I pulled two in about 8 packs last night.
Here is my MUT team:
That Jerry Rice (with the double up X-Factor ability) is so fucking good.
The demo is 38GB
EDIT: Ah, it's a trial.

Madden 20 is free this weekend to celebrate the new season.
Free how?
A trial.
https://www.polygon.com/2019/9/3/208...s4-xbox-one-pc
And anyone on those platforms will be able to check it out through a free trial of Madden 20 this weekend, with the full game available to try from 12:01 a.m. PDT on Sept. 5 through 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sept. 9. (Note that on consoles, the trial requires an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription.)
I never even played 2 hours of the 10 hour trial. The slow QB wind-ups (Mahon mentioned above) make every QB like a third string college player and have ruined it.
Ultimate team online is also utterly broken due to the X-Factor abilities.
Also, O-Linemen stink.
Enjoying the free weekend, playing as the godawful Dolphins. I like what they’ve done with Franchise since I last invested in it and the play the highlights or whatever it’s called mode works really well for me. Might have to invest in this.
