Luke Shaw being a lazy cunt there.
Luke Shaw being a lazy cunt there.
Bailly and Lindelof has the makings of a partnership, but I've no idea what After You Claude was doing taking Maddison off after an hour.
Still, another notch on the bedpost for Duncan Edwards McTominay.
I would say 'Carra' gets Man of the Match overall.
Thought we were decent not that anyone cares but the Leicester forum is down.
Think we are a winger light and maybe 3-4-1-2 is the way to go but I’ll give Ghezzal a few games.
Chilwell and Maddison impressive and tbh the young players improving and starring is what I want from this season so hopefully good signs.
Chilwell looked a bit like a leader. He'll be playing for England before long, just needs a bit of end product going forward. Has the engine and all that shebang.
In that game Chilwell looked a lot like Luke Shaw did when he was King of Southampton.
Has Mourinho been on the AVB mind juice?
Mourinho was quality in that post-match interview.
Imagine how passive aggressive he's going to be when they don't win. What was he on about when he said "three good teams"? The officials?
Im at the Wolves game today. I wouldn't say im excited as I havent been excited since I had my Diamondback BMX bike when I was 14. Im looking forward to the game though.
Run for your lives, Joselu starts.
Newcastle XI: Dubravka, Yedlin, Clark, Lascelles, Dummett, Diame, Shelvey, Ritchie, Perez, Kenedy, Joselu.
Tottenham XI: Lloris, Aurier, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Davies, Dier, Sissoko, Eriksen, Alli, Moura, Kane.
Just realised I posted in the fantasy football thread last night instead of this one.
Eric Bailly is an absolute monster. He was so so so fucking good yesterday. Like I said he's a stark raving lunatic and will get some hilarious red cards in his career, but I love him. He's one of the best defenders we've had in a very long time.
De Gea is still the best in the world. Darmian is still tripe. Lindelof looks like he'll form a good partnership with Bailly. Shaw might not be done after all. Midfield three look excellent, Pereira coming in and playing so well is great to see. Fred wasn't quite up to speed yet and got caught out a few times but he adds so much dynamism. Sanchez was a bit crap but probably because Rashford offers nothing when he's played alone up front. Mata was good.
We weren't amazing, but was nice to get a win after all the negativity of the transfer window.
Mata offering nothing (through no real fault of his own) on the right takes us back to Martial being a bitch. He should just force his way into playing there instead of bealing about 'his' position being taken.
lol at Matt Ritchie seething.
Probably should've had a point there. Decent performance but we could have our heads right down after September.
14 games I believe for Kane without a goal in August.
Cardiff in being shit shocker.
Mickey Mouse League...
I thought he went to China. What sort of money do Japanese clubs pay? I think I would rather go there for a bit than America if I was a fading name.
I actually agree. Japan sounds like such a cool place. Its actually one of the few places I want to visit. Add Iceland to that list too.
Fulham train derailed early then.
Japan's awesome, if a little odd. I'd definitely choose it over the other retirement homes, but I'm not sure the money's that good.
I'd the chance to go twice in my old job and refused. Too fucking weird for me.
The money probably isn't great for your average duffer, but the club he's gone to is owned by the same bloke as that telly website who sponsored Barcelona so he'll definitely be on loads.
Is it that much of consideration? He can't be struggling for money.
Unless he's always had a burning desire to play or live in Japan I'd imagine it's the only consideration.
If it's a choice between silly money to play in a shithole or still very good money to play somewhere sensible then I'd think it makes a difference.
Perhaps he's business oriented and part of his contract is either a stake/share in the company or opportunity in the j league ala beckham did in MLS.
Or he's on a fucking fortune.
Following Gateshead's going to be fun this year. 3 out 3, Mike Williamson in central defence, Steve Watson in the dugout and Hong Kong owners.
Lovely goal from roofe there
Skaghorn Ł8m.
@John
Sorry Faghorn.
What's that got to do with me?
This.
IIRC Iniesta chose his club based on who would buy a load of his wine.
Nah, he went to Japan to feel tall.
Wolves should havd beat everton once they went down to 10 men. Neves really is a good player. Boly had an awful game. Wolves need to minimize the number of long haymaker balls from central out-wide to the wing backs. Championship tactics
Ive nevee been so wet from rain in my life. The wind was throwing it all in my direction.
Neves's free kick was great, genuinely thought he was going by over the wall.
Warnock back on our screens
Eddie Howe the longest serving manager in the league.
First touch from Kenedy there was that of someone surprised not only to be clean through on goal, but that he's made a career in professional football in the first place.
MOTD puts the 'Expected Goals' for each side at zero. That stat was already considered meaningless by anyone sensible, but Spurs' first goal was a header from two yards out so at what point to we start thinking of those who pay attention to it the same way we do David Icke or Alex Jones?
Sarri looks like a fat bloke who recently lost a lot of weight but hasn't been able to buy new clothes yet.
Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson, Keita, Milner, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino
Subs: Karius, Clyne, Fabinho, Henderson, Sturridge, Lallana, Shaqiri
West Ham: Fabianski, Fredericks, Balbuena, Rice, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Noble, Wilshere, Anderson, Arnautovic, Antonio
Subs: Adrian, Zabaleta, Snodgrass, Obiang, Hernandez, Yarmolenko, Diop
Time to see if Keita is worth all the hype. We've been missing a midfielder bombing on for a while so we'll see. The Ox had just started getting to grips with it when he died, so anything like that would do well.
I approve of Firmino's sensible hair.
I like the look of keita.
Liverpool look outrageously good.
Still think mané is v good but v frustrating.
