Could someone post the TTH league code please? Are we doing the draft one this year?
I'm currently looking at something like:
Pickford, 4.0 goalie; Azpilicueta, Alexander-Arnold, Daniels, Tomkins, Bednarek; Salah, De Bruyne, Jota, Wilshere, Stephens; Lukaku, Firmino, Zaha
but I'm sure this will change about 10000 times before the season starts.
I can’t believe Ward is 4.5.
If anyone spots any lowest price bargains share the wealth. Someone recommended Hegazi last season which was a great shout. I doubt we’ll ever get Michu value ever again though.
Salah is still a midfielder, but he’s 13.5.

I'm struggling with forwards. All of the bankers (well, most) have gone far into the World Cup and so I am not sure how (or if) they are going to start the season - plus there's the fact that Harry Kane is traditionally a write off until after the first round of interationals. Too many attackers are listed as midfielders (Mané, Salah, Sanchez). Naby Keita is going to don this though.

I am really struggling this year, defence looks easy enough but the midfielders and forwards are a nightmare. I think im worrying too much about playere getting back late from the world cup.
There are plenty of options in defence and in goal. I've gone for Pickford based on fixtures but want Leno in there at some point. Daniels/Tomkins are essential unless Bournemouth sign another left back. Midfield is okay, plenty of options in the 6.5 - 7.5 range to put in the squad with Salah. I agree that the forwards are a nightmare, I think Aguero will start the season for Manchester City and Zaha/Arnautovic are good options but I'm stuck for the last premium striker slot.
I think you have to have Firmino, he's still quite decent value. Salah really ought to be a forward.
I reckon Clyne might start the season for Liverpool so he could be worth a look as a reasonably cheap 'top 6' defender. Liverpool's fixtures are quite kind at the start as well and they now have a non-idiot in goal so clean sheets are a definite possibility. Gomez is £5m too, so he could be another option as he could start either on the right or in the middle with Lovren and Alexander-Arnold out for the first few gameweeks.
My problem is I really don't know anything about 95% of the players and really how teams that aren't Liverpool are likely to start the season.
Sane and Sanchez have to be good value to start the season well though.

I want tp pick Bailly as he's ostensibly United's best defender (when fit), but has Mourinho fallen out with him? I'm tired of getting burned by his constant picking of mongos like Jones and Smalling.
Is either Dalot or Big Fat Luke likely to play for them much?
I am thinking at the moment going 352 with 3 solid defenders, 5 attacking midfielders and then a couple of cheaper strikers (Austin, Tosun, Wood, Aurnautovic etc) and avoid an premium attackers.
Will go with Sanchez and Salah in midfield so if someone like Aguero or Kane starts well it's an easy swap with a couple of moves.
What's with Fulhams squad. It has like 4 players in it.
Think they had a few players released and a few loans. They'll have to do a lot of business.
I think 5 starting midfielders is an absolute must. I'm half tempted by 4-5-1, there really aren't many appealing forward options.
What kind of player is Jorginho? I'm tempted by his 5.0M price tag, but also skeptical about players joining from Serie A in general.

We should do a draft league again. I thought that was quite entertaining last year.
They've introduced trading this year so my goalkeeper stockpiling strategy would have been a better one in this meta.
Too much of a risk I think. Probably 4th choice.
Id be into this now if they have trading. You really need that to make it work.

I can't decide on Salah or no Salah at all.
He's obviously mad expensive, but he's also a far better proposition than almost any other 9m+ player. Everyone else comes with a caveat or two.
Salah is the best captain option for gameweek 1 and also the highest owned player. If he doesnt start the season well you can downgrade him to literally any other midfielder.
No brainer for me.
I've made a draft league if anyone is interested: 69876-19546. I've set the draft date for next weekend but I can edit it to whenever.
Joined the draft league. We should try for the max of 16 (is that what it was last year?) - albeit with less inactives.
Last draft was something like 9am on a Saturday morning (thanks Vietnam) - can we avoid that? 9pm UK time would be my choice.
Can we do the draft as close to the games as possible?

I've joined, weekends are a fucking nightmare for me so I'll put a bid in for 9pm schoolnight, but if not then at least I think you can line things up beforehand can't you?
Yeah, it does it for you if you want. I'd also vote for 9pm on a weeknight - what is it set to at the moment 8pm on a Saturday or Sunday? Sunday would probably be better if it has to be a weekend.
Yeah Sunday night ok, Saturday is a disaster.
I might actually join this this year. Always forget about it at the start of tue season then see you guys having fun during it.

Where are all the strikers these days? I might take a punt on Jesus, Vardy and that Arsenal lad from Dortmund. Hardy Kane seems to be chosen a lot but I have doubts about Tottenhams ability to threaten the top four this season.

Yeah, Sunday evening or weeknights would be the best for me too. I joined the league. Can you make a shortlist of players for yourself if you end up missing the draft? I assume theres no budget?
I'm trying to stay clear of any player who went deep into the World Cup, as they more often than not either don't start in the beginning or are shit because they are knackered.

Salah is going one of two ways, either you have to have him, or he will be an early season slug and cripple everyone who has him.

I was holding off on Salah (in favour of a Mané/Sanchez combination) but I think you have to have him, depending on how he looks in pre-season.
Not going near Kane until after the first round of internationals, mind.
I think there's a clear value striker in the game as it stands. Mind you I had the same guy a lot of last year and he loves a sneaky cold streak.
Experimented a bit with taking Salah out now and it really opens up for doing stuff with the squad.
I'm not going with Salah, I think the price just inhibits the rest of the team too much.
For the draft league - can we move the draft closer to the transfer deadline?
My strikers at present are Firmino, Barnes and Zohore.
The transfer window closes on Thursday 9th. We can do the draft that evening if that is suitable.

How do you feel about your defence going into the season? Opening fixtures are reasonably kind and there are some tempting propositions.
