Lime pickle is the peak of human experience.

Lime Pickle? Amazing stuff.
I'm quite fond of chilli pickle.
Unreal stuff.
I like pickled everything. Roll mops are amazing. Could probably get em down me with a jalfrezi tbh.
My mum's growing little cucumbers in the greenhouse at the moment so pickled some to this recipe the other day.

Absolutely delicious. Pickles are great.
can you pickle black pudding
I love pickles bar the sweeter versions, especially sweet gherkins.
It'd fall to bits I think.
What's the red sauce then? Kind of like a sweet chilli but I don't think that's an Indian thing.
Isn't the traditional poppadom quartet a raita, a lime pickle, a mango chutney and a dry onion/tomato thing?
It was probably whatever the jocks call pakora sauce. Isn't that usually reddish?
I'm having sushi tonight in (from my Portuguese colleague) the best Japanese restaurant in Portugal (hi on holiday). It's got a long way to go to beat the stuff in Moscow and St Petersburg but I'll report back soon.
Speaking of mango chutney I was short of things to put in a sandwich with some cheddar the other day and opted for a slightly spicy mango chutney I have in the fridge. One of my top decisions of 2018 so far.
There is very little that mango chutney wouldn't improve.
I have never yet known any cheese/fruit combination that didn't work.
I'll do a wanky post later with the pics of the food from last night but needless to say, it was ace but expensive.
Edge of seat.
Just had some bao off the market in Norwich. Apparently the guy who does them was in my little brothers year at school. They were absolutely delicious.
Going here tonight https://sociusnorfolk.co.uk
for graduation celebration (dunno if I mentioned I graduated?). Looks a bit mad expensive to me but it's got very good reviews and I'm not paying so looking forward to it.
After wasting £100 on that I’d have to nip up the road for a Kebab / Munchy Box. Wouldn’t even fill you up. The ‘soup’ in the 8th picture look like the dregs the last person at the table left behind. The last picture... well... for fuck sake.

It'll be more than £100.
Way more.
I can't get on board with people taking pictures of their food. I'm glad that wasn't a thing when I was a food nonce.
It depends.
I've had the 10 course degustations where you end up unable to move (not many mind), but then I've also had ones where a 'mussel course' was, literally, one mussel.
I can confirm it did fill me up.
I'm in the happy situation that the WiFi is so shit on this boat that the pictures won't load. Why the fuck someone would sit in a restaurant and photograph their dinner is beyond me anyway. I'm presuming it was some fur coat spot so I thought you'd need to show a bit of decorum and not act like a Japanese tourist.
Can't stop lolling at that black stone with the sad face.
What's a fur coat spot anyway?
That Toby bowl in the second to last picture fascinates me. Why does that exist?
If the person bringing me my dinner turned up with a piece of drifwood I'd definitely leave.
I told you it would be wanky.
Went to Sarti today (the one on Renfield Street) for lunch and it was great.

Disappointed that they didn't have the rabbit but the rolled pigs trotter special with lentils and a side of cannelloni beans in olive oil was great.
Why are you here? It’s mostly Romanian hookers we have, are you branching out?
Just a few days sightseeing and stuff.
Stayed in Carlisle on Wednesday, Leith Thursday (but had a few hours in Glasgow) and will stay in Newcastle tonight (Friendsfest bullshit).
Baba Budan for breakfast in Edinburgh today. Had hot chocolate and doughnut french toast with bacon.
Not something you can have more than once a month but it was delicious.

I'm a twit
That all sounds excellent you nonce.
What's wrong with any of that? Is it that it sounds fancy, or do you have the palate of a 12 year old?
It's awful wanky.
He'll probably have ketchup with his steak.
