I definitely had a Le Tallec shirt as a kid.
Possibly a Cheyrou one as well.
Although, thinking about the timescales, my mind has probably made that up. Maybe Mark Gonzalez, but even that may be a stretch.

Last one I had was a Michael Dawson one.
I had Crouch.

I had Giggs for the 94/95 season on the day the kit came out. I was on holiday and went to Cardiff to buy it with my dad. I thought I was the biggest don in Wales (and probably was).
Yeah, I was thinking that (I was 18 or 19 when Le Tallec signed I think), so those 'memories' are probably just early-onset Alzheimer's.
I had the 1994-96 home shirt, the infamous invisible one with COLE 17 on the back, the 1996-98 home one, that funky green and yellow 1997/98 'keeper jumper (do goalie shirts still have padded elbows?), and then - after a gap of a few years - the last one I had was that nifty blue third kit from 2002/03 with KEANE 16 on it.
Chris Smalling bruh lad fucking hell.
The best shirt I've ever seen was a Spurs shirt in 1997.
It was Sheringham 10 but the kid had crossed out Sheringham on the back and wrote Ferdinand beside it. Obviously had bought the shirt just before Sheringham went to United and his Mum told him to fuck off when he asked for a new shirt.
I wouldn't like to speculate on what has happened to the country since that particular year, but today his mother would have compofaced her way to a full re-fund.
After he torched it ofc.
I don't go with names. They wind up like tattoos of your ex.
My last one was Chicarito in 2010
I knocked buying shirts with names on on the head in 03 when I might a Beckham United top
That was until this year and I fucked about with DHGate and their dirt cheap tops. Ibra and Mkhytarian
Never again.
I’ve got Firmino on this years and had him on the last.
Last years got one outing. I doubt this years will get a single one tbh.

The last 2 names I got on the back of a Liverpool shirt were "Torres 9" and "Lucas 21"
One of them a god, absolute hero and our best player at the time. The other was a turncoat Spaniard whose kneecaps we broke on the way out.
When we had the Pony kits in 94-96 I got Cobi Jones on the away who was shit and left, then Isaias on the home who stayed for two years but was missing for one. Thought I'd play it safe a few seasons later by getting Huckerby on the home, two weeks later he signed for Leeds. Used my powers for good with those League 2 patches I bought last season
For some reason, ive only ever had international shirts. One of the first shirts i had as a Czech Republic shirt with Rosicky on the back. No idea how I got it. I was still in Jamaica at the time.
I think the last shirt I had was a Berbatov 9 shirt, which I got signed. I have a fair few shirts from the 90s still.
I have a ton of shirts from the late nineties ‘til this day. Colo Colo away is the latest one I got (as a gift). The last real (I have a few fake ones that always come with names) ine I got with a name was van Nistelrooy possibly around 2003 (when United had black away shirts). Football shirts are good when you do sports as I hate the way your normal t-shirt feels after it’s soaked in sweat.
I always wore them when I played squash, they were much better than the actual squash t-shirts you can buy.
I wear them for 5 a side usually but I got a Scotland shirt in the player version rather than replica version for cheap and just wear that all the time now, it's like half the weight and no nip danger. I can never go back.
How do the DHGate tops go? Was it you that I asked about this before? You're just up the road from me, does it take years to ship?
Sorry for all the questions. Given my penchant for ruining footballers lives and then having a $100 piece of cloth sitting in my closet never to be used again I've given thought to just buying the DHGate international shirts w/ players I like on the back.
How do you all feel about wearing shirts that aren't specifically your team?
This was blasphemous for me for the longest time but some folks I go to matches with now participate in this bit where you send $25 and they'll send you a random football kit from around the world.
Long story short, I'm starting to wonder if I'm being a little over-zealous with my outright refusal to even consider other clubs shirts (certainly not Prem teams, I couldn't go that far) but like for example Roma has put out some pretty nice kits and I don't know that I wouldn't mind a cheeky Nainggollan or something to that effect from DHGate if their knockoffs are pretty spot on.
That, or maybe international shirts as I've mentioned before, to highlight players that I like but maybe play on teams I hate, like a Hazard Beligum shirt (those red ones with the diamonds looked top for example).
If it's not the same league, it's not a problem.
Even if it is the same league, when said league is in a different continent. Wear whatever you want.
I rate them highly but there are so many sellers it’s hard to really say “it’ll be fine” for everything you buy, and they all vary in delivery times. I ordered two shirts from two different people on the same day and received one four days later and the other after three weeks. I’ve always had responses from sellers so they seem good in that front.
Here’s a seller I’ve used in the past, with a token referral link to get me a discount coupon

@bruhnaldo I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I have them as souvenirs from different places or as gifts. Feels good rocking a Zimbabwe top to training.
Re shirts, what’ Everyones first? I had a Brescia Baggio or Lineker England in the early nineties.
Edit. Never mind. Baggio top was red and blue, but it couldn’t have been Brescia.
First I had was a hand me down
First I got myself was this stone cold fox
My first one was a Juventus one from the Zidane era.
This one I believe, with Beckham on the back probably.
Grey Crown Paints shirt sometime in the late 80s for me.
I had a Baggio Juve shirt, a Papin Marseilles one and, I think, Matthaus Inter as well (all knock off Tenerife jobs).
I had an England one from Italia 90. Moth-eaten and no longer in my possession.
Probably my favourite until Newcastle '98. Speaking of whom, I like the thinner stripes on our new one.
Not sure of my first kit, might have been United '98:Toggle Spoiler
First Brighton kit was this great centenary one:Toggle Spoiler
Favourite:Toggle Spoiler
I had some Milan kits from the 80s but I seem to remember the united one how posted as one of my first. Was that before the one with old Trafford on it?
Fairly sure this was my first one.
The sponsor logo was bevelled / textured so it protruded. That glorious synergy between being called Aston Villa and having AST Computers as a sponsor .
I’ve just picked up several from Classic Football Shirts to play in - an old Norwich one, an old Liverpool goalkeeper top, a white Italy one from a few years ago and a Catania one - and the lads have laughed at me a bit for it, but realistically I paid about £25 for four shirts and it keeps my Newcastle ones clean and stuff.
Long story short - get amongst it.
I find them to be really good quality, not the player quality that is being banded about for silly money but good enough. Just dont chuck them in the dryer. We might have talked about it I dont remember.
It generally takes about 2/3 week unless something weird happens. Which hasn't happened to me, only my mate.
I typically buy shirt from this seller (sans affiliate link) and they have come out well every time.
my Ashley Young kit comes in today
Our away shirts are never good but that's particularly bad.
This though...
Why would you try to market a shirt by putting James McClean in it?
