France to fold like Argentina and Croatia to win the thing.
I can't see any way Croatia win this. Denmark and Russia could have put them out and England dominated them in the first half (albeit they deserved the win in the end). They're just not that good.
Croatia dont need to win. France will just lose it.
France will bangerang Croatia.
Maybe I'll change my mind, but I don't really have much interest in watching it at the moment. I feel like Giggles.
I want to see it now.
I'll be out, so I won't watch it. I would've had it on if I was at home, but I'm not bothered enough to cancel plans just to watch it.
I want Croatia to win, although they don't strike me as terribly gracious winners of the semi-final. Proper chip on their shoulder.
I don't understand this narrative that England thought they'd steamroll them. Where has this come from? It's clearly not true - the general consensus seemed to be that we'd get overrun in midfield and would need to make the most of set pieces.
Everyone was just looking at Sunday.
If Ireland are ever in a World Cup semi-final against Croatia, you will be thinking about Sunday. Why wouldn't you think about Sunday? Sunday is everyone's dream. Sunday is why any of the nations enter in the first place.
Roy Keane has no joy in his heart, he knows nothing.
Roy Keane is just a twat, it's what made him the player he was and what makes him both a terrible pundit and coach. They're a strange bunch in the People's Republic of Cork anyway.
If we ever make a world cup again I'll be too shocked to look at anything, we've well had our day. Everyone was still looking at Sunday with yesterday as a mere formality though, probably rightly in fairness.
I reckon it's Croatia in extras or god fucking forbid via a penalty shootout.
Croatia are far more suited against teams that will open up. I think France will take it because their midfield can actually match Croatia’s but it’ll be a lot closer than folk are making out.
Ye I don't know what indicates that France will dominate. They will probably win, but that's about it.
I think they'll win 1-0 in one of the most boring games of the tournament. Croatia scoring first would make it interesting though.
I make it one good World Cup final (2006) since 1982.
Croatia will 'be the better side' for half an hour or so, then France will spawn a goal somehow, and that will be it. They may or may not roast them on the counter, but I suspect Deschamps will be happy to shit their way to a 1-0 win.
I'm with you two. Early France goal and a routine boring 1-0.
Ye that's what's going to happen. I reckon it might be 2-0 with a late goal when Croatia are playing with everybody up front but that's about it.
Only an early Croatia goal will change that but they've only scored once in the first half hour and they were already behind by that point, so I doubt it.

The real question is how many minutes into the game will Mahow switch allegiance for the 47th time this tournament.
Mahow should be Coventry’d for the final and all future football.
Mahow > Typical England.
At least Mahow has a drop of foreign blood in him. Baz is the real disgrace.
You're obviously fishing for this, but how can 1986 (3-2 Argentina-Germany) possibly be considered a bad final?
That said, Spain-Netherlands had a certain entertaining brutality to it, even if it was a pretty terrible advertisement for football. But obviously nowhere near '06 in terms of quality. Or DRAMA, for what it's worth.
Was 2006 good?
Scouse, Not English.
Build a fucking wall around them.
Many ways to skin a cat.
Also that must be bollocks, as we scored 12 goals in 600 minutes = 1.8 goals per 90 minutes.
We scored 12 goals in 6 games. How can that possibly be accurate?
Probably not counting set pieces and/or penalties.
Or goals on Wednesdays.
This is from open play.
Do shots on target have to be as the result of a gorgeous 30-pass chin-stroking move to count as shots on target?
And what about a set piece header isn't open play?
If it doesn’t fit the point trying to be made then it doesn’t count.
I'd love to hear the justification for that. And if the same criteria was applied to the other countries.
We probably wouldn't fare that well had they done it properly, but that's a scandalous manipulation.
Shots on target from open play discarding set-pieces, goals, shots against the woodwork, headers off the line and deflected efforts which definitely, 100% were never meant.
You had the most shots on target from set pieces I believe, so you'd be somewhere in the 3.0 region I would reckon. Obviously all the other teams would be a tad higher as well, so you'd be somewhere in the middle if I had to guess.
Edit: 3.45/90 mins it seems. You had a combined of 15 in the first 2 games and 2 per game from there on.
