Guerrero is not even a 10. What a n00b.
Guerrero is not even a 10. What a n00b.
At the last world cup they got shirts printed up and held them aloft as though he'd dropped dead or been prescribed a heavy course of chemotherapy, when he'd just been ruled out of running for a while.
He's a terrific player, but Brazilians very clearly think he's Pele when he's not. Floyd is right on that point, but fuck knows why he apparently should be sent home.
Didn't they say that if his vertebrae had been knocked a little further to the side he would have never walked again? The reaction from the team was OTT but I'm not sure how that means people shouldn't be carded for repeatedly fouling him.
And he's also very, very, very clearly the 3rd best player in the world, only behind the 2 probably greatest players in the history of the sport.
If there's anything 'fucking stupid' it's this load of shite. Retract it immediately.
South American teams are outdated in the way they all try and play through a band leader. That might have worked in the slow football era 20-30 years ago, but Europe is just pulling way ahead with better coaching and collectively focused tactics.
I've just swapped from TV Catchup, it was freezing every few seconds. ITV Hub isn't too bad for me.
He is undoubtedly a great player but he wastes himself trying to be a god.
What is the defender thinking there? Seriously.
If it wasn't for VAR it would be given most of the times I reckon and that's because of a stupid reaction from the defender.
Send the cunt home.
Horrible little cunt. Hopefully they go out.
It's sort of one of my pet peeves. I understand when you'll try to tackle and misjudge it or whatever and concede the penalty, but stupid reactions like this one or the one in the Colombia match really irk me.
Neymar is flirting with the red I see. Send the cunt off.
This time-wasting is Arabesque.
I like Neymar - I'd be pissed off if I was him as well. They've been hacking him all match.
Costa Rica are vile. Some absolute cynical fouls and now joke time wasting.
This is some glorious timewasting.
I mean, I would be furious in his position too, but it's no coincidence that it's predominantly the south american/mediterranean players that show that much of a childish behavior when things go sour. And he only really started being that furious after a penalty call where he was clearly acting. That won't gain many sympathy points from me.
That said Brazil do deserve to win, no doubt. Costa Rica had a few nice plays in the first half but they've been very cynical.
Coutinho is their real star.
Now want a Swiss result tonight to give the last round some edge.
Had a fiver on Neymar and Coutinho to score. Really thought it wasn't happening.
Nice to see Firmino getting involved. He strikes me as a better option for this team than Jesus.
Also, Douglas Costa is miles better than William.
If Brazil play like they did in the last ten minutes I'd like to see them go far. That move ending with Firmino's skyed shot and Neymar's skill at the end were great.
There's been way too many fouls this tournament, at least in the games I've seen. The refs need to start giving yellows. Playacting needs to be retrospectively punished too.
Maybe it is because I am used to Latin American football, but I haven't noticed more fouls than usual.
No 0-0s is still alive. Couple of real candidates tonight though.
One of the dead games in the last round of group games will be the culprit.
Some of those can be quite entertaining. It's the ones where a draw suits both teams that are the nightmare and there could well be a few of those.
Belgium v England has a red mark against it on the schedule.
Sucks that Brazil won but at least Jimmy's 0-0 still lives.
How much is the 0-0 bet worth if it happens?
South American coaches always have their pet players. Firmino would probably have to score 3 as a sub to get a look in at starting (although he clearly should, not biased at all, like). Jesus is a better goalscorer, but Firmino would get more out of their other stars (and seeing as that is their game he would be better for them). Paulinho's another one. They're wasting Coutinho as well, as Liverpool did in the brief 'fab 4' era, you lose so much of what he can do when he's always picking the ball u on the halfway line. He's a forward. There's also the danger that they are going to get absolutely rinsed down that flank by anyone half decent as Marcelo-Coutinho-Neymar might be just about the least defensively capable trio in those role in football history.
Didn't realise Djokovic and Federer were starting this one.
I can't think of a less entertaining matchup than Serbia-Switzerland. There'll probably be a goal in it cuz of what both the teams need, but it's gonna be a fucking shit game
Lampard describing a penalty call as "Not a game changer". What a fucking idiot.
Edit- Guess he could have been talking about VAR itself, but if so, that's even worse.
