Still not what my job is or ever was, mate.
Still not what my job is or ever was, mate.
Maybe it would be if you took more hallucinogens.
Apparently people are being discouraged from saying "commited suicide", because the verb "commit" implies a criminal act. I can't even.
There are a lot of people murdering themselves these days, are there not?
How are you taking the news of Harold’s death, Henners?
I had never heard of this man, but he sounds like a tosser.
I can't think of a single new poster in the last year.
I'd think at some point travelling the world would get depressing. Man had basically been everywhere on earth it seems like. Dined in the fanciest of restaurants and in the poorest villages.
He's probably seen so much food go to waste and watched so many others starving to death. Idk. I get it.
Yeah, I feel like ending it all whenever I go on holiday but see some brat waste a plate of chips. Poor sod.
Food waste, I am sure that is what did it for him. Lucky for us that we never have to see that.
You know someone who has quotes like 'your body isn't a temple it's a playground, have some fun!' is an absolute cunt.
RL has that tattooed on his cock.
A playground with debilitating headaches.
It drove Kevin Carter, that photographer made famous by that Manic Street Preachers song, to suicide. And he didn't even get to see the highest of highs like Bourdain.
Imagine dining in a 5* Michelin restaurant and you're in the kitchen and you're seeing "thousands of dollars" worth of food being wasted all around you by people depressed with their lives of overindulgence... then going to some tiny ass village in Africa and seeing people literally starving to death but managing to make the most of their situation because they literally don't know anything else.
It's depressing to think about, for me at least. Though I imagine you both got the point I was making and chose to do this bit that you always do instead.
And yea we all see and know about it, but we all generally have the hope that things could get better at least in our own lives. Anthony Bourdain had everything we could imagine. Fame, fortune, a beautiful family, had been everywhere in the world and actually seen what it's all about.
There was little left for him to discover, not just about the world but about society and himself in general. It's awful but I totally get it.
Bruh, stop trying to apply logic to mental illness. It's not how things work.
Sorry, I think about this stuff a lot and it makes me quite sad so I don't know I guess maybe I related in a way and just started talking.
He'd always been a bit fragile and was broke and depressed when he decided to commit.
Big, fuck off glass houses. Shards raining down.
Mahow would commit suetcide.
Ya i can't buy that it's all chemical imbalances and shit, either. If you really think about it there's no point to life. There's so much fucked up shit going on all we really have is to put blinders on and try to live our own lives the happiest we can. We keep ourselves occupied with television, music, film, theater, sport, whatever the fuck... but none of it ACTUALLY matters.
In our happy bubbles we'd like to think there's some purpose out there somewhere. Bourdain has basically been everywhere seemingly looking for it and couldn't find it.
Now, of course, all of the drugs certainly had an effect on Bourdain personally (w/r/t his brain function). I mean more in the general sense.
Nobody without mental health issues is killing themselves because there’s poor people in other countries.
This thing you do where you make everything out to be the most basic possible understanding of what's been said and then debate that bit is grating.
Stop saying stupid shit then.
Clearly I've just brought up one aspect of the man's life and said how I could see how one could feel saddened even though they basically get paid to go wherever they want in the world and that's somehow turned into "Well that's surely not the reason he's killed himself" no fucking shit, it was assuredly a myriad of factors. Thanks for the insight.
Spikey lacks porpoise lol.
Bourdain was so good.
It’s interesting to me that a lot of Brits haven’t heard of him because he’s massive over here, but then I guess its the same when I don’t recognize 80% of the people you guys post about
He's no Ina Garten.
I know who he is (a cook) but I don't think that I ever watched anything he did.
I watched loads of his stuff but I prefer Andrew Zimmern.
I thought my wordplay was clever for a change and not one mrgreen?
Noose just got a bit tighter.
Dirty Den.
Guess he won't be coming back this time.
The good old days, when you could still forge a career in showbiz despite an actual murder conviction. Not like now where you can't do anything.
The old man from Pawn Stars
The only decent one there, well him and the alt girl they hired until they stopped showing her on the show because she did some nude photos.
Former Tottenham player Goran Bunjevčević dead at 45.
Barry Chuckle.
I hope Paul is ok
