Play the fucking cunt off of it
I see the brand split means as much in the game as in real life.
Finished Nier Automata. I was genuinely thinking of asking a refund after the first couple of hours (mostly due to the wonky KB/M controls) but I enjoyed the game a lot. The combat can get a bit repetitive after a while (although switching weapons around, as well as getting to play different characters through the different playthroughs solved that a bit) but the story and the way it's told is great in my opinion. The music is also outstanding. Also I got a good 60 hours out of it so it was well worth the 25 pounds.
Had to delete GTA to make room but God Of War has been installed.

You gotta give it to Destiny, I'm not sure there's a loot game out there that nail looking as badass as you can in that game.
After a few more rounds today on the experimental server I'm definitely loving the new PUBG map and look forward to it being fully released. Partly it'll be that you find yourself in more close comabt situations than the others (especially Miramar) where I can actually hold my own.
We need to Third Hard that map as soon as possible @Ian
Found a controller setting that makes Project Cars without assists feel pretty decent. Although the current PSN sale shows me why having erm 'choice' in the market feel like a bad thing. I'll explain:
- Project Cars GOTY Edition is £12. It has some nice new cars and tracks I wouldn't mind having.
- Project Cars 2 is like £25 used and has all of that stuff. And more stuff. But there's one more DLC pack left to release on that game. So that's probably due a Complete Edition in six months.
- Assetto Corsa's Ultimate Edition is £35. Not as much stuff as Project Cars 2 but has some other tracks not covered by Project Cars. Vallelunga and Mugello, mostly.
So I'm playing the waiting game to see things go on sale so the price feels more like buying a big track and car pack.
Just played through What Remains of Edith Finch. Easily one of the best games I've played, loved it.
You done (m)any of the other 'walking simulators', DS?
Beyond Two Souls just hit a snag. Willem Dafoe had his dialogue interrupted by an NPC so he stopped talking and the game refused to advance. This is the game that puts me off David Cage for life.
I've not done Edith Finch or Rapture but they're on the list. The next one of these I get will probably be Tacoma though.
Firewatch, Gone Home and (different sort of game) To the Moon were all games I completed in one happy, relaxed Sunday afternoon session.
I'd say Edith Finch is probably the pinnacle of writing in a videogame right now. I forgot The Stanley Parable which is a legit masterpiece and fucking hilarious.
I adored Edith Finch. Was brilliant from start to finish.
Stanley Parable is superb.
That's Shadow Tactics finished. Great game. Story is pretty by-the-numbers but the voice acting gives it a bit more oomph.
Anyone considered playing Spy Party?

I had a feeling they'd do this, although the list of involved isometric rpgs that I would like to get around to playing is getting longer.
Probably? I guess a lot of people probably do play it solo but I played all of Original Sin and most of Original Sin 2 multiplayer and it is better that way. I'm not sure how much the "competetive co-op" thing they advertised would really work unless you were purely doing bad stuff to spite your mates for lols though because for the most part you want to be working together.
*faps*
I'm getting it over the weekend if you wanna play.
Spy Party sounds like a well good idea. Let us know if it's any good.

£19 for an alpha game? Nah.
I'm enjoying the Onrush Beta. It's a team-based racing game by Codemasters where you basically smash into each other. Simple, stupid fun. Open Beta until midnight Monday.
So on the one hand YET ANOTHER Crusader Kings 2 expansion is coming out and I think frankly at this point if I was to play it again I'd basically be having to learn from scratch and that sounds daunting.
On the other hand they've announced a new grand stretgy that is their "most complicated" yet and I want want want it. Because apparently I'm a glutton for punishment.

I'm never playing it but they're on sale for anyone who hates themselves.
I got Crusader Kings II for free off the Humble Store a week or two ago. Loaded it up one day and poked around in it for about half an hour, realised I can't be arsed learning to play it and closed it, probably to never open it again.
The Reid is ALWAYS ON HoI4 nowadays.

I got Shadow of War and Rainbow Six: Siege instead.
Going to go pick up a used Logitech G29 later today and get back on iRacing.
Started on God Of War earlier. Fucking hell, it's impressive.
The Thor axe recall move thing
His son would batter yours.
I'm nearing the end of it, will probably finish it this weekend. Easily behind Zelda in games of this gen, knocking Bloodborne down to third.
I'm seriously looking at GP Bikes. One of the few sims I look at and think, "Wow, that looks ancient. I bet my PC could run this."
Nobody has made a good bike racing game, they don't exist.
How dare you.
Road Rash ftw
Manx TT with the code to turn your bike into a sheep.
Jesus. Although that did make me remember Super Hang-On.
