Plus Taker wrestled before WWF.
Plus Taker wrestled before WWF.
For the last 10 years the main ones would be Reigns, Wyatt, Strowman, Charlotte and then you've got Big E and Alexa Bliss as the other success stories, probably a few others.
6 weeks 'til MITB. So that's Bork topping Punk's record having wrestled about a percentage of the matches. Hero.
Bit surprised they're putting Rusev in the mens ladder match. Not unhappy, just surprised.
They need to give him another PPV match to lose.
Supposedly Brock isn't even scheduled for MITB, so he's going to piss all over Punk's (non) record.
What is Punk's record?
Edit: NVM, I know.
That's actually a disgrace.
Braun to win MITB and cash in on Brock walking down the street
It would still give Lesnar the record (441 I believe) but you'd get a full time champion who isn't Roman and it would be a nice throwback to the Hardcore championship days.
141 vs 10 I knew the fans were pissed for a reason but that is jokes.
I actually think he'll turn up this coming Monday or the week after. They'll then make the match between him and Roman for MITB.
They'll also get Rusev to win the contract and he'll cash in on Roman who retains his newly won belt to fuck over another Rusev Day PPV.
He absolutely won’t. He isn’t due back til the build up to summerslam.
I hope he fucks off soon.
Also:
1) The Universal Title is not the WWE Title and
2) Punk isn't the longest reigning WWE Champion
So fuck it. It's a non-story made up to give the Brock haters more to seethe over.
Nobody's beating Sammartino's reign so reigns with any belt are comparable given how much they've pissed about with the lineage anyway.
This is all I'm really bothered about. I wouldn't care about the lengthy reign if he was trying because he's the fucking business on the rare occasions he gives a toss / is made to give a toss. He's just such a waste.
His title win over Cena was amazing, but because it was so well received they must have decided that his every match will just be that again and again. I want Roman Reigns as an entitled shithead champion so much more.
Even his part in the Mania 31 main event, much as it was built to look like another Cena squash, Brock sold the increasing frustration and Reigns' comeback, etc. beautifully. There are guys who care a thousand times more than Lesnar does and have a fraction of his ability / potential.
The main thing that infographic does is remind me how punk's big wwe title run was midcard as FUCK. Stating the obvious I know but they dropped the ball on Punk real bad. I mean, hindsight makes me think he's a bit of a twat but who isn't. Saw a bloke in Rugby wearing THAT best in the world shirt yesterday, however many years later, and it's not the first time I've seen one in the wild. Shows how hot that damn angle was. Fuck me it was 7 years ago wasn't it. Time is weird.
Punk's opponents weren't that midcard at the time though, at least not in terms of booking though they probably felt it. There was just a proper lack of quality. Whether that's the talent or the booking or both is obviously a different issue.
Eh, I guess. Kofi, R-Truth, Kane is a pretty grotty run of challengers, but at least it's not Bob Holly. His matches rarely even closed PPVS did they? in terms of prestige and placement on the show, Punk's WWE title was like the 1980s IC title.
I hope Brock stays forever and keep destroying everyone with nothing but suplexes and F5s. The seethe is genuinely the best part of WWE these days.
If I had the book at WWE for a year the first thing Id do would be writing Reigns off TV for 6 months to be repackaged. Then Id send him to the WWE affiliates like Evolve, ICW etc as an uber Suzuki type heel. Let him recruit a couple of wrestlers as human shields.
On his return I have them as a sheild 2.0 but Id barely have him wrestle letting his lackies do the work untill they worked their way up the card. His singles return would be a PPV match for either main event singles title.

Just make him a heel, done.
He gets damn good heel heat as it is.
Vince wont though?
No, he's Vince's boy. He wants him to replace Cena as THE MAN.
Apparently though, Backlash might have opened his eyes a bit.
I doubt it though as they've started Roman in a feud with Jinder who is probably more hated than Roman. Although I'm sure I heard cheers when Jinder stopped Roman from winning his match on RAW.
Yeah I reckon Jinder would get over with the crowd as a babyface ironically.
He won't but he should still be turned. Big, sneering, bullying twat. He barely needs changing. They let the Reign of Terror happen once, I don't see why they wouldn't let Roman have a pop.
He just needs a fucking arc. Take him down several pegs and build him up. He's not really had that. Hell, they could continue the Brock feud under the guise that Brock landed that stupid contract by holding Vince hostage. Make Roman a little unhinged or whatever. He's the guy but Brock got thrown money to stay.
They seem to want to position him as the guy going against the odds and facing the corporate choice in Lesnar like when they struck gold with Daniel Bryan, but it's impossible to buy when the giant handsome wrestler with the famous wrestling family is in every main event and gets title shots all the time with minimal effort. I'd rather have him be the indulged corporate choice going against someone more sympathetic like Rollins, or ideally a returning D'Lo.
Rollins is getting better and better at the moment. He's looking more confident and his face character isn't quite so much a blank slate.
Rollins’s matches are allegedly being put together by Tyson Kidd. Makes me sad that a guy with that much knowledge and talent was completely wasted until he got hurt.
Alvarez and Meltzer have both made the point on several occasions that D-Bry getting over so bad was a bit of a shitter in a way because it means they're going to keep going to the well with the shit "let's get this face over... by losing! he can be the underdog!" gimmick, despite the fact, obviously, it worked because Daniel Bryan is Daniel Bryan. But obvz they can't accept that people often get over despite their booking rather than because of it.
So yeah, it's a shit story arc at the best of times, let alone with fucking Roman.
Bryan got over because it was legitimate. He had all the talent in the world but WWE didn't give a shit and buried him. You can't fake that and use it with someone like Roman, no matter how hard you try.
He's a heel being presented as a face, and a completely unrelateable one at that. It's an approach that's doomed to fail forever.
You get some good by-products out of it, though. He's always into the last dregs of the Rumble so the guy who dumps him out (like Shinsuke this year) gets over in a heartbeat. He does have serious mic problems, mind. He works hard but they can't write him and neither can he. I bet he's boring behind the curtain, too.
I've been watching those WWE Ride Along things which are pretty decent. Everyone (thus far) has come across really well bar Roman (and to a lesser extent Dean, surprisingly). He might be one of the blandest men ever.
Oh and Braun is an even bigger hero as he has an app to map where he takes a shit because why not.
They've not got anything to risk by knocking him down the card for a bit. They can experiment with his character (or lack thereof) because the brass have such high hopes for him. If he can't be interesting, maybe bank on him being bland and make something out of that. Most importantly, get him off TV. People are fatiqued by him being main event material and being booked like a predictable superman.
Supposedly Big Cass is in the dog house for beating up that midget too much.
Ha.
Apparently he was meant to stop after the big boot. He had asked the creative guys and Vince if he could go further but they told him no.
The main event in 205 this week was a cracker.
Murphy and Ali are seriously talented.
Also, Dozer from heavy machinery freaks me out a bit. He's way too small and round with a strange face.
Ian probably loves the squat fucker.
Edit: College pictures of him are even worse:
His neck is wider than his head :\

When Lashley was around first time they gave him some kind of 'soft spoken, hard hitting' tagline which is only half of what you want from a legit fighter. All the good work he did after he left and they've basically just presented him in the exact same way but this time with a headband.
