Started Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. Only done the first mission but it feels like exactly what I'm after.

That's the Samurai X-Com/Commandos game right? It looked fun but I don't have the patience for it.
Meanwhile, I figured it was always people trying to justify spending $60 on Destiny 2 when people said 'Yeah but the shooting is really good' I mean at the end of the day, how can the shooting be that much better than any other game considering they're all shooters these days.
The shooting is really fucking good. I think they've got me on the DLC front. Bastards.
Bought the latest COD WW2 for £5 over the weekend. Completed cappaign on veteran in one sitting and played a few games of multiplayer. Terrible. They need to stop making this game.
A bad experience with Baldurs Gate has put me off isometric RPGs for life I fear.
I saw that XP throttling thing and realised I'd have to play for a mental amount of time per week for that to matter. I think they fixed the lock out thing as well.
Look at me, I've played a few hours and I've already become a total Destiny Apologist.
Been playing the closed beta of the new PUBG map and really liking it. Also ended the night with not only a chicken dinner, not only my first chicken dinner where I actually got some kills (5 of em), but I got the final kill too. Best feeling I've had in a game in ages.
I've lost the screenshots but I've got two random squad chicken dinners on PUBG today
God of War is fucking spectacular.
How the fuck is that running on a PS4 at 40-60fps
Is that 4k?
1080, haven't got a 4K set. With a Pro you can downsample 4k, but it dips below 30fps.
Want to lend it me when you’re done?
The game not your PS4
Yakuza 6 is finally under way. I love that stupid series and I'm eagerly awaiting whenever Beat Takeshi shows his craggy auld man face. I hope he's the final boss. And you have to beat an obstacle course to face him.
Played about two and a half hours of God of War, on second hardest. Died a few times but now that the combat, and parrying has clicked I feel like a bad ass. Love launching an enemy into the air and using the son to keep them there with arrows as I twat fuck out of em. Genuinely feel like hammering Dark Souls shieldless has prepared me well, still keep forgetting to use it.
Also cliffs are dangerous places for my foes. Game is majestic and beyond what I'd hoped for. Can't wait to hammer it on my day off on Tuesday.
Game of the Year.
That is quite something.
On a similar note, geographically, I am bloody loving Shadow Tactics. I'd have been surprised if I didn't like it at all but it's pretty swish. I do wonder if the smaller squad size means it'll feel like there's less variety than the Commandos games had but no issues so far.
Yakuza 6 is done. That's a contender for 'most ending'. Really short by Yakuza standards. I clocked in 16 hours and combat was pretty easy. I enjoyed it but it's not as good as 5 or 0.
Just done the into bit of God of War.
I haven't really played much in the series but oh my.
What's good about God Of War?
Aside from looking [really really] nice, it looks a bit boring.
I'm a twit
The combat looks neat. Although I think the press hysteria is dying off.
Fuck revenants though.
Dark Souls Remastered is half-price on Steam for Prepare to Die owners. The right call. Still feel like getting it on PS4 but I'll be watching to see how it runs on my GPU. Tell you something for nowt, though:
Dark Souls 2 is still bollocks. I can deal with the other games and generally can figure out areas but the DLC in 2 is just a constant chore of running away from death. It's a shame because the main game is a breeze aside from Throne Watcher and Defender.

Got a feeling God of War is gonna hit my top 10 of all time, maybe even top 5. Easily the second best game I've played this gen, taking over Bloodborne.
Great booking.
Poor Joe.
I want a Royal Rumble where every entrant is a Polynesian variant on Joe. I have high hopes for Fijian Fred.
Rezar, Dawson and Slater all striking out on their own is bad news for the tag division, but even worse for the singles division.
Wait, what?
EDIT: Came back to see if this post had had a response and only then realised I was responding to this and not the wrasslin' thread.

Started playing Nier:Automata recently. Pretty good game so far, although it's a shame the port to PC is so poorly done.
It's on sale again on PSN. £25. I'd be tempted but The Last Guardian is like £11 and I know it'll be on sale again within a few months. Currently waiting for Project Cars to patch itself up. I've got a hankering for some hot laps and I've barely touched this game in years.
Yeah, the first one. Decided now's the time to knock assists off and just thrash some times out.
EDIT: Looking at the shop for some add-ons and the classic one's the only one that really tickles my fancy. Classic Silverstone, Hockenheimring and Rouen with a few Lotus oldies. In an incredibly shit move, they also sell the combined version of the Nurburgring. The one layout they don't have in the base game. Boo.

Thoroughly enjoying Nier Automata. It has its flaws and unfortunately the KB/M controls are somewhat wonky but the story is quite interesting and the combat is as good as you'll get in a hack 'n' slash sort of game.
I've got that on my Steam wishlist to pick up at some point.
Still loving Shadow Tactics. The story even just had a bit that made me genuinely sad.
Finally knocked off the two Dark Souls 2 DLCs I had left to finish. And by finish I mean manditory fights only because the optional bosses are either revamps or have shite runs back to them. Ivory King was alright. The scrap before him almost necessitated him being an easy battle. 2 attempts is all it took, once I could get him to show up.
Fume Knight is one of my favourite fights of the series. A moveset you kinda second guess as he has a lot of 2-3-4 hit combos that he can decide to follow into or drop. His second phase has less to worry about but the damage on each attack is hellish. There is room for error but you also need to be right on your game. I need to work on the two DS3 DLCs now.
Can't believe only me and 'how are playing God of War in here. I have it easily as the second best of this gen behind Breath of the Wild. Wonderful game.
I'll be on it once I've finished Far Cry
I decided that I'm not going to buy a PlayStation.
For Honor, really not fun.
Is it not? I always thought it looked like it would be.
Is it still p2p? Utterly doomed without dedicated servers.
Something strange has happened. I was the Universal champion but I decided to drop it to Joe in December so I could enter the Rumble (which I won), I then took the Intercontinental off Baroque at Elimination Chamber while Braun beat Joe.
This set up THE DREAM MATCH. I beat Braun but I've been awarded the WWE Championship (which was being defended by Randy Orton against Shinsuke 'Dick Punch' Nakamura) and he's kept his title. On the match card both matches were for the WWE Championship so I guess Randy was stripped upon winning and was vacant for our match.
