More Mid-Morning Matters on the way. Personally, I wish they'd return to the format of I'm Alan Partridge and give us another series of that, you shits.

Give it up, Coogan, you tosser.
I liked the one he did around Norwich that came along when they launched Mid-Morning Matters, something like that would be good. The film was a bit shit.
This is getting a bit Ricky Gervais.
I didn't like the chat show format or mid-morning matters as much as the more traditional radio-sitcom effort. Series 2 and 3 were genius stuff. Coogan is a complete cock, himself, but credit where it's due.
Which radio sitcom? I've listened to Knowing Me Knowing You and On the Hour - is there more?
I think he means the ones where the character was on the radio in Norwich, living in the travel tavern etc.
Yes, as in a more traditional situation comedy rather than him just doing the radio or a chat show.
In case someone hasn't seen the clip from his new series...

I actually think that was hilarious.
Yeah, I enjoyed that.
That was fucking brilliant.
Back to his best you might say.
"I like it, it's a clean kill"
That was excellent.
How is North Norfolk Digital still going?
Also, that was awesome.
Old, but gold.
New series Mid Morning Matters. Tonight 10pm. Sky Atlantic.
There was a bizarre piece on The Guardian website the other day.
Episode 2 is so good. 5 or 6 proper lol moments.
Haven't seen 2 yet, but really enjoyed the first one.
For some reason, the reoccurring theme appears to be superb first half, then it tales off second half. Thankfully, they are only 25 minutes long.
Anyone have some linkage?
Can I post links? Hey ho. Pm's if required.
New Partridge audiobook is out, Nomad. Will get into it over the weekend.
Got it yesterday. Not just an audiobook btw, but obviously it's the best format for him.
I think I'm on chapter 5 now. It's broadly similar to I, Partridge. The section about Dawn in the swimming pool had me lolling on the drive home yesterday. Top stuff.
Do people download audio books using torrents? If so, what site actually still works?
Just sign up for a months free trial with Audible, download it, then cancel your membership.
Thanks, yeah I did see that. Will probably do once I've finished his previous book.
New show out on BBC next month

I do hope it doesn't disappoint. Sounds like it's similar to KMKYWAP in format.
Has he ever done anything shit with Partridge? Obviously you'll never hit the heights of I'm Alan Partridge series 1, but the genius of the character makes all of it at least decent.
I don't think anything has ever been "bad". But as it's a proper TV series on a proper channel, I'd hope it comes close to the older stuff in quality. The one offs he's done over the past decade have all been pretty good, but nowhere close to KMKYWAP and I'm Alan Partridge.
It's all the same writing team that's been involved in the Sky stuff and the books so it should be great.
I'm already well on board. The comedian explained: “What we do is we have him trying to jump on the bandwagon and say, you know, he says ‘Hey! I’ve made mistakes, I’ve stood on the side of the sidewalk and slow hand-clapped while I watch a woman try to parallel park, you know, and I feel bad about that. And now if I saw a woman doing it now, I would shout instructions’.”
Also I'd never heard of Scissored Isle. Is it worth a watch? Last thing I remember was him showing us around Norwich, with the standout bit being him in a swimming pool with someone while nearly drowning but edited so when the other person asked if he was alright, it cut to a shot of him stood calmly in a pool saying "yeah fine."

I'm a twit
A reminder that his new show starts at 9:30pm tomorrow on BBC One.

So far it's received rave reviews.
It'll be shite.
Get out of here with your negativity.
Apparently my nan saw the trailer for this when my mum was visiting and angrily asked how "that weirdo" had gotten his own show, thinking it was a genuine chat show.
Not quite my mad old Polish grandad (RIP) shouting "VERA, WHAT IS THIS...PRIEST DOCUMENTARY?", during an episode of father ted, but still.
Excitement levels right now.
Alan Partridge meets the banal One Show should be brilliant.
I still hope they do a movie where he gets a break (doing a similar thing) in the states.
I enjoyed reading the letter sent to all BBC staff on the cricket live text earlier today.
And the out of office is worth stealing as well.
Let's do this.
24 years. Fucking hell.
This is shit.
Yeah. This ain't great.
