Too much, but then that's the answer every fucking year. I have been incredibly lucky (TOTY Messi and middle Maradona being the standouts) with packs though so I've been able to get a much better team than I usually get.
Nesta, Litmanen and Crespo released today along with the Baby icon SBC and some upgrade SBCS to make it easier.
Crespo not needing an icon has hurt me as I was probably going to put Larsson towards him but I have liked Henrik a lot.
They have fixed players numbers from switching at random with the new patch

Played this tonight for the first time in ages. Son remains stupidly good. Scored a first half hat trick of left footed shots across the keeper from the corner of the box, then a second half hat trick of right footed curlers into the top corner from thirty yards. He can do everything and it isn't fair on the opposition.
One of the latter set brought to mind that mental Eto'o finish against Panathinaikos in his Barcelona days.
Played this a bit more last night. I'm way behind the times obviously, but they finally sorted out the injuries happening 3 times every game, I don't remember even having one yet. Also, whilst probably still being shit, the AI is so much better to play against than in previous versions.
I have no idea how to tackle. I played a game online against someone who almost seemed to make it a tactic to wait for me to score, because he would then be able to dribble through my whole team every time he had a kick off. I've tried the skills games but that doesn't seem to help me in a real match, I'm just bad at it.

Some of them look fun but I think I would struggle to get most of them into my teams. I would sign an icon CB in order to get that Bale in at Left back in my Prem side though!
That Gareth Bale needs doing, but other than that I doubt I'll be able to fit any in, which is a shame.
It dawned on me looking at that that this game is never as fun as when you start and you have infinite possibilities. As soon as you get railroaded into a team through the base you have with its chemistry restrictions and each upgrade costs hundreds of thousands the magic dies.

How the fuck do you score a downward header?
I generally lose interest completely at around this time of year for exactly that reason. At the beginning when you're cobbling together a team from whatever you happen to get and finding players you'd never have thought of winning games for you it's terrific. But once you have a settled team and it becomes all about grinding to the next four hundred grand player you notice the flaws in the engine more and it just becomes a bit of a chore at times.
I think Sergio Rico was your main source of the feeling I'm describing there this year.
Yeah, it's brilliant finding and falling in love with players like that for no discernible reason and watching them play six-hundred games for you.
I think I know what I'm going to do to keep that magic going next year, now I've had a run at it from the start of this.
I'l post it up in a bit, but that's 5 goals from my Irish squad in my first Online Singles match. Just need to jam one in off the woodwork in the next game and score 5 more and that'll be two objectives down.

So I ventured online (first time since the Pirlo thing) with my Shane Long up top and the first game I went 1-0 down in the 4th minute. Kid dabbed. Fuck that. Scored 3 in the next 30 and he rage quit. ffs.
Done the 10 Irish goals one, but sadly I didn't hit the woodwork while scoring any of the goals. Did get a rage quit though, which was nice.
Hitting the post sounds tricky. Even if someone lets you try, it sounds rough

The best chance for me will be from a full back cutting inside, but I'd agree, it's going to be a ball-ache.

They should do more grinding based rewards.

They've also done something to squad battles that's resulted in a new revolutionary tactical approach whereby the opposition (that's all of the opposition, every fucking team) manage to combine ultra defensive play with ultra high pressing.

There is a power bar for headers.
If you want to power up the downward header hold the shoot button to load up power then tap again.

Ive tested in and it training mode, there is a power bar when you header and you can clearly see it but online and offline FUT. Its not there. Simple things FIFA

I have completed four of the challenges with only the 'hit the post' remaining.
Struggling to make my mind up between Rooney / Toure, unless Rooney can play well as a CM I don't really have a need for him.
Not sure what happened but it appeaers my LCDM and LCAM are now switching positions in game. Vidal is left wing damm near every game now. They fixed the numbers but broken positions. Please no.
So every single person in the world got the same SBC. It expires in 6 days when the event finishes. Given the way the event has started, is it safe to say that the other cards, such as alaba, reus, etc will only be available to buy with coins. If that is the case, then this is wack.
How is he? I am thinking about just buying the IF as a supersub and sticking something like a Maestro or Marksman on him since his pace really doesnt need it.
I've not used him much and he's a clear downgrade over Larsson but his pace really is able to stretch defenders at the arse end of a game.
I should try getting him on sooner as 15 game minutes isn't a huge amount.
Does have 2 or 3 goals from 3 or 4 appearances though.
I have used his 81 in a similar manner and liked him. I usually try and make the sub around 65. Seems to work well when the AI start bombing forward.
The problem with that new Ben Yedder is that a Hunter on him doesn't really offer much of a difference between that and the old one with a Hunter on him.
Marksman or Engine make the dribbling fapworthy, but either leave sub-standard pace or sub-standard shooting.
Has it been proven / confirmed that the chemistry cards genuinely improve a players stats as shown on the futhead website?

I would prefer if they were removed from the game or just turned down.
