Been looking at the Schmeichel SBC which I can use to chuck into Roberto Carlos and there's an argument to do the higher end SBC requirements of both now - 85 rated players and over are cheaper than they've ever been and they've dipped a bit more since the SB rewards came out.
This pele has a FUTMAS luis on his bench. We didnt get him as an SBC

He's the best player I've used so far, without doubt. 145 in 117 for me.
I've taken to pretty much shooting from anywhere within 40 yards or so on any foot as he always seems to trouble the keeper with finesse shots.
He's absolutely brilliant and I thought the lack of strength might be an issue for me but his dribbling stats help so much. It's baffling why he's so cheap.
Thinking of moving to one team, which could be the below, with Kimmich to swap with Goretzka in game.
Cost wise I think it'll stack up as follows:
Roberto Carlos (via Schmeichel SBC) - 900k
Bergkamp (using Rui Costa to get him) - 600k
Farhrmann - 4k
Mustafi - 75k
Kimmich Upgrade (optional) - 100k
So I think I'd be looking at 1.7m coins in total. Drawbacks are that I'd be removing Rico from the team () and I'm not sure Bergkamp would work brilliantly in that role on 7 chem. However, I'd have a midfield 3 (while short) of three absolute terriers and Bergkamp would still look like this with a Hunter on 7 chemistry.
The other option is some player switching in game to keep Bergkamp on full chemistry, but I'd need someone who could start right wing on decent chemistry (without killing Ben Yedder) and then switch to midfield. Bale is an option, but that would take the endeavour to 2m coins.
First thing's first though, I need to try out Bergkamp.
I know I'll get ridiculed for saying this, but his standard gold card was pretty special anyway. I couldn't understand why everyone was going for Gameiro to start with as Ben Yedder's 5 star weak foot and dribbling made him lethal.
Moussa Sissoko would let me keep everyone, including Bergkamp on 10 chem and he could play in midfield.
Got Bear Cum man in for 20 games on loan for 18,950. 7 chem at RF and whacked a Hawk on him. We'll see how we go.

Stuck in a couple of speculative bids on a few of the 87s needed for Shearer. Already shaved 4k off Cavani. If I can do that on all the other big buys and a couple of K off the mid range players I think he could end up much closer to 400k.

Bergkamp being fast but not that great at passing is ludicrous
I hear people are saving packs for TOTY. I've yet to pull anyone over 100k. Is it really worth it? I watched this video last week and its madness. Chances of pulling something from TOTY sounds slim.
How has that little dweeb got £5k?

It's not worth saving packs because the pack rates are astronomically low for TOTY.
And it's only a matter of time before the gambling commission gets involved - EA sailed very close to the wind earlier in the year with the Star Wars debacle and interestingly there are rules in place in China that require companies to publish the odds of rewards in loot boxes, which is why Ultimate Team isn't available out there.
It's a racket and one that needs time calling on it very soon.
Did the Roberto Carlos SBC for a cost of 960k. Still need to open the packs (plus those from the Schmeichel one that I did along the way), so that'll reduce a bit more still.

This is misleading. What i mean is i was making 5k+ losses per card. Now im only losing under 2k per card.
Prime Roberto Carlos is brilliant. 4 games in and with 3 goals and 3 assists he's exactly what I was after in a left back and with IF Goretzke on the other side that's the full backs sorted for the foreseeable.
Opened up all of the packs I was hoarding too and made about 400k from them and with IF Young and Alexis sold that's another 150k in the coffers.

I had two Melbourne so I was able to sell one to make more than I paid for the Central coast player. Also bad a duplicate from the Mexican one so made some money there
I completed all the MM. Only ones I bought this week were the real betis and sevilla players. All the rest I had from packs. Ive got about 20 players from aussie league to sell. Ive listed them all for over 5k. Don't think they will sell today, but hopefully the supply dies down a little so the become more valuable.

Lewandowski acquired. Cost me 127k. Fresh card with zero appearances. Was watching him the past few days and was being sold anywhere between 125k and 140k. I really wanted to the IF card, but on PS4 there are about 5 of them on the market and none are less than 600k.
Did the big Shearer SBC for 170k. Came in 10k under what it is pricing on FUTBIN and I think the higher cards are on a slight uptick.
Best I got from the Mega Pack was Borja Valero. Not offsetting the cost much there.
The 100k pack I got from the Roberto Carlos SBC was the most offensive shit ever. There wasn't even a board player in there.
Decided to upgrade SIF Kimmich to TotGS Kimmich at a net cost of about 100k. Could have been cheaper, but wanted a clean card.
