Some bloke on Reddit claims that EA are holding the better ones back because they'd be too overpowered against the rest of the players available if they released them currently.
Not sure I buy that myself and even if that is the case a big attacking name was definitely needed. Maradona would have done the job and apparently his card (judging by the reviews of the other two) won't be that good anyway.
Another 7 wins from 8 in the games so far today takes me to 55,195 points gives me a 6k buffer in Elite 1 - think I need 25,000 points from the last 16 games to secure it.
TotGS Ben Yedder is now legitimately the best player I've used so far in this version - 129 goals and 90 assists from 100 games. Absolute bargain for 108k coins.

Took some time but I got it to work after like 5-6 minutes. I clicked on every menu in my club.
Did the SBC Pirlo for a total spend of 11k, so I'm going to put a squad together featuring him, IF Alessandrini, and TOTGS Ben Yedder. I fucking loved IF Ben last year so hopefully he lives up to that.
Carried on cultivating packs (in a futile effort) ahead of TOTY and am now up to 31 from various sources. One of which is back doing the Ligue 1 SBC's, which I aborted a while back. A lot of them are much cheaper now, got some Prime Gold Players Packs and Rare Gold packs for circa 10k each, but I see Lille (that made me stop last time) is still a complete fucking piss take. EA have just upped the prices allowed on the previously extinct players and it now costs in excess of 77k to do.
Would love to hear what Pirlo's like. Haven't used him yet, but those stats.Well, all bar the stamina.
It's just tallies with the way they did SBC's last year to me - as the year went on requirements and rewards (including the quality of the guaranteed players) increased. It worked last year - kept people interested for longer.

Those Icon SBC's are plummeting in cost - Shearer is now just over 500k. Very tempting.
He doesn't have the finesse shot trait like Mbappe, Martial and Son yet Ben Yedder might be the best player I've used at outside the box finesse shots.

Edit: I did however nab some of the IF's as they are in the TOTW packs and I don't think their prices will get any lower.
23 games in and I've come to the conclusion that SIF Vrsaljko is no better than standard De Marcos. I'd also love a full back that could score routinely. Mine get so many chances and it's pitiful watching Marcelo, for example, try and finesse it in.
EDIT: Even SIF Ashley Young is shit at it and he supposedly has decent shooting.

I was having joy yesterday (with the previous version of the team) with left back (was Alonso) on stay back with Kimmich on always overlap. Didn't take much away defensively but added a lot offensively with Kimmich getting 4 assists and a goal in the 4 matches but he was creating a ton of chances.
Well that was the worst 125k spent. Laporte and 21 duplicates.I doubt anyone has as bad luck as me when opening packs.

FUTBIN import isn't showing ALL my players in my club. I can only really find players on my trade pile/transfer list and the Profit Gems. How can see my whole club players including bronze and silver?
Before you click 'finish' on the import tab you could try clicking next on every page of players you have in the actual web app. Worked for me.
You have to go through all player pages to get all players in there. After that, once you click finish, there should be a section with profit gems. Above that box on the right should be "click here for full trading page".

Finished on 81k points for Squad Battles, which puts me into Elite 1 by circa 6k with half an hour of this week's competition remaining.
I'll be saving the rewards for now, which with the two Jumbo Premium Packs from the Icon edition will take me to 41 packs saved up. That said, I think I lose the latter if I don't open them within a week.
Oh and in team news, the Prime Bergkamp is getting such good reviews that I'm considering either doing him outright or turning in Rui Costa towards him. Prime Roberto Carlos is also on the list as well.

Found the last few matches a right slog, even dropping the difficulty down to professional, which bizarrely is now almost as hard as Legendary for me.
That TOTW SBC is a right pain in the arse, it's inflating the values of all the SBC's I want to do (25k for a loan Bergkamp!!) and given how shit the current TOTW is it's even more of a waste of time doing it than normal.
Im going to miss out on elite 1 by less than 500 points. Never been in that group. Reward would only be an extra 10000 coins but it would have been nice. I conceded a late goal on wednesday or thursday and then lost on penalties. I blame that game.

HOW can a reward be “are you new to FUT? here is a a loan player” surely they should recognise im not new to FUT and recognise what type of players im using in my first 11 and give me something based on that.
The loan based objectives over the last couple of weeks (bar the current 30 game Icon one) have been an absolute joke.
I'm sure the argument is that people who have just picked up the game for Christmas will benefit, but most of the overpowered base golds are so cheap now that doesn't stack up either.
