The worst I ever had was some plum porter I got in a Maypole Farm near Luton airport a few weeks ago. Just a glass of black dead horribleness.

It is definitely going to be the a fabulous summer of sours and gose in Australia.
Aldi's gin.
@Ian
It's a lovely gin. We have the same one here too but they rename it

Work present. Sweet.
The growler spot has just changed its menu. The top one has me both horrified and intrigued
Found this in the in-laws. Smells great shame I won't be able to have a drink of it.
On the Blacks gin. Lovely stuff. And no @Magic it isn't elderflower and banana flavoured.
Drinking my homebrew stout.
I've paid more for worse but there's not much to it. I think next time we're going to do it a bit more properly, getting our own malt and hops and stuff.
The sister just gave me this which is bottle number 3. I might go for the Schweppes instead of the Magic style tonic but happy days.
One of the kids at work got me some larger from around the world set (or his parents did)
Asahi's not bad, as it goes.
I had two zero-alcohol "beers" last night. One was Becks Blue which was about as unpleasant as I expected. The Bavaria one, however, was probably about the nicest alcohol-free beer I've had. I'd probably rather have a soft drink on balance but it was so long since I'd had a non/low-alcohol beer other than a taste of the not-unpleasant Erdinger one that I thought I'd try what they had.
Bringing this thread back down to where it belongs, what's the best lager you can find at most pubs. Tight battle between San Miguel and Peroni me thinks.
Depends on the pub and what you like.
Best thing I had was the Beavertown neck oil.
If it's not next to the Carling in a spoons it's disqualified.
I suppose of the ones you can get at MOST pubs then it's Peroni or Moretti by default as usually being the one in "most pubs" that isn't filth.
Moretti? This thread is disgustingly hipster.
San Miguel or Becks are both decent staples as well.
Peroni or Smithwicks Blonde (not sure if lager).
Blonde is lager but I'd still throw it in the hipster shite pile
And Peroni, at the price you normally pay, isn't hipster? I've had Moretti at a carvery in Hamilton so behave yourself.
It's also about the least hipster beer I've ever talked about in here but I have neither the beard, flatcap or lumberjack shirt so I'm exempt.
EDIT: Right, I think if we're discounting what appears to be your category of "hipster" we're left with a choice of Carling, Tennents or Fosters.
Coke, please.
It's also not lager but let's not make his post 100% wrong. It's Christmas after all.
I'm using the dictionary definition from giggles whereby if I haven't heard of it, it's hipster.
Moretti for me.
San Miguel tastes like someone has put a cig out in it.
On a bottle of Staroptamen now
Family fortunes incorrect sound.
That's in most pubs round Europe.
Blondes in this case are invariably somewhere between your typical English ale and a lager. But usually not served as cold as a lager. Which means you can taste it more so it varies wildly whether that's a good thing or not.
Anyway, neither Peroni or Moretti are hipster. Certainly in Scotland they're pretty common anywhere that thinks people might like a choice beyond Tennents.
Though I was i somewhere recently that had a selection of something like Tennents, Amstel, Fosters and Carling. Bleurgh.
Heineken is my go to of the prole beers.
I didn't mind it when I was trawling around Edinburgh. Felt like a lager you could mistake for something else. That feels like most lagers to me, nowadays. Getting into some Stella for the first time in my life and I've got exactly the same sentiment.
Unless it was so cold as to actually numb your taste buds then I'm putting you down as having officially gone native. Save yourself.
It was pretty cold. Ya wee cunt.
I'm going to take cunt, there, as the term of endearment it sort-of is in Scotland.
You big softy.
Merry Christmas mate x
Nah, Amstel's rank to me. Still not the worst thing I've drunk though. Swedish Blonde. It's like Mike's comparison only you can see the literal ash.
Amstel is alright. The worst lager of them all is Skol, which is so shit I'm not sure you can even get it on tap.
I used to drink a lot of Cruzcampo when there was a tapas place nearby. I miss that stuff.
My favourite mainstream lager is probably San Miguel (but Estrella Damm and Cruzcampo are better when in Spain), also like Moretti, Peroni, Heineken and Stella. For the bog standard ones, Fosters is not bad and is far superior to Carlsberg and Carling (worst lager by miles).
Christmas Day booze
I gave up buying those kegs. The pressure in them is fucked so you just get 70% froth. It's a bitch to carry but I'd rather get a crate in.
Although it does look badass.
My mum's special friend Dave has given me a 3 pack of beer from the Rebellion brewery. Just polished off their blonde offering which was alright. Might have the dark one before we go to my nan's.
I'm on the bubbles just now. Got loads of nerdbeer so I'll keep you* updated. And Magic and Phonics can shut it. <3
*I mean, it's mostly strong black stuff so I can't even remember who else on here drinks that stuff. Just Giggles?
Got 20 cans of Fosters suck a dick lads <3
