Kimmich TOTGS is down to 140k. Considering buying one if I can nab him for around 130k and holding on to see if I can make some profit when he is out of packs.
When you are attacking corners, you are setup defensively awful. The AI puts one play up front and you have two defenders (usually the CBs) standing behind him. As soon as the ball is cleared, the attacker always collects the ball 99% of the time. Wish you could amend corner and free kick instructions. It would be useful.
Since my post ive lost 3 games on legendary . Just lost To a 74 chem, 74 rated team. Its early but ive sneaked into elite one. I suspect when others play catchup, ill be into elite 2 for rewards. Patience defending is key. Force the AI out wide and dont drag your players out there. I can deal with crosses and long balls all day.
Only played 8 matches this week so I'll settle for gold 3. Wonder how far I'd go if I played all matches but who has time for that. Maybe during the christmas period when I'm off work for a couple of days.
Pogba
IF Goretzka is fantastic. Which is annoying, as now I have 250k from selling a load of SBC silvers including some 10k Russians and were I to sell him and revert to his normal card I could bring in Pogba. Or, I could wait for a week, pick up my 30k of rewards and hope to pull some more big players in my packs and possibly have both for next weekend league. Wish I’d put more into SB this week.
I’ve also got over 1500 golds including a load of 84+ that I’m not using but I’m loathe to sell up with FUTmas SBCs around the corner.

Elite 2 for me. The difference in reward is so negligible at Elite 1 that I struggle to be arsed to play the games required.

My AI controlled defenders are acting like they're on tactical.
TOTGS Kimmich, Hamsik, Fahrmann, Dost, Inaki Williams and Bakambu. All but Kimmich are duplicates but that’s some haul for MMs.
Yeh tbf loads of the posts showing big pulls on Reddit are on the app, I know it’s stupid superstition but that overrides logic in this instance. Also, I like the build up/walkout. The lack of variation in flares like last year is a shame though. I found myself less built up with the big pulls these days.

Something has definitely been nerfed in squad battles. It's ridiculous they're still fucking with it at this stage.
It feels that my defence is always in a good position and then all of a sudden they're all over the place.

I haven't noticed much change. I still lose one in every six squad battles game on legendary give or take. Didnt pack anything of note again this week. My transfer list is now full with 95 men. I have lots of loverns that i bought for 400-500 coins. They now sell for double that. The closer the POTM announcement draws near, i suspect he will go for at least triple that.
I picked a few of him up for that too. Not too many as I also picked up a chunk of Lallana, Mata, Schneiderlin and N’Zonzi for futmas

Given the sane and KanePOTM awards, I don't think the IF Basel player will be needed so im selling them all before they announce the SBC. The rest of them ill list between now and after its dropped.
Edit: Actually, EA have been moving against the grain lately. the MM that just dropped and the week before had just random teams that had no derby or historical links. The Egyptian goalkeeper and Basel IF could well be needed.

If they follow last years example, the requirements get tougher throughout the year. The rewards got better for MMs, ending up in guaranteed TOTW player packs being rewarded for most of the ones in the last couple of months.
I think this will be the first POTM hat requires a special card version of the player himself - a la Hazard, Alli and Lukaku last year.
Just having the standard version required is difficult enough for some (Ibrahimovic last year), but special Sallahs will no doubt be knocking on the 1.5m mark if key to this.

After selling Salah, I decided to sell IF Son (I'll get his SIF at some point) and bought 85 Blanc
Tried using that but I didn't feel that it was getting the best out of Blanc as I was still quite poor defensively and Rashford was doing nothing at all.
So after a few games I decided to change it to this in game:
The difference it made was huge. Pogba, Blanc and Fernandinho were bossing it and the AI couldn't get near them on Legendary.
5-0 win with Rashford (who had done nothing in my other games) scoring 4 goals. What I think I will do short term is buy Mkhitaryan who will go on the right with Rashford dropping to the bench and he'll then be the CAM in game. Long term, I think I'm looking at an IF Son again or the TOTGS Mbappe.
