Master League is the same as it's always been, you're thinking of My Club that had the cards.

You'll be spoilt for choice with racing games on the PC. All Codemaster's stuff and Forza comes to it, as well as the proper sims.
Yeah Rory McIlroy's Clusterfuck is terrible. The Golf Club 2 is the best but its legit hard, none of this mega spin or hitting a ball precisely where you want everytime.
They're McIlroy now? No chance I pay money for that cunts face anyway then
I'll definitely look up that other one, especially after what DS said. Used to actually not allow myself to use spin on the old TW games as how it worked was too unrealistic.
Dirt 4 and the latest Forza are probably the best choices as far as racing games go, not played the latest F1 game but I've found them to be less well rounded than the others in the past.
I want The Golf Club but I'm not paying over £20 for it so I'm waiting on a sale.
Use standard clubs til you work the math out a bit. Or Player clubs if feeling confident. Do not use Tour clubs from the get go
I use Tour clubs but that's after about a thousand hours of play time. Got 9th this week:

It's not built around online multi player is it? I just want to play rounds on my tod.
Does it have any real stuff or have EA all the player/course licences?
Nope. You can play against ghosts. It's nice to see another person's ball land next to you, mind.
As shindig said, you can add ghosts of other players if you want to, or play solo rounds. No official courses but it has an amazing course creator which some very, very good designers use, with a lot of real course recreations, Augusta, St Andrews, Pebble Beach, Sawgrass, Royal Birkdale etc, and a fucking ton of created courses. In the thousands.
EDIT: These are the real course recreations in The Golf Club 2 as of two months ago:

That thing I posted is an entirely optional tournament which mirrors the real life golf schedules, with rankings.
Cheers. Looks excellent, definitely going to buy as soon as the machine arrives.
The courses are arguably the best thing. If you have a local course, someone's likely to have created it.
I got Mario x Rabbids yesterday. It's absolutely fantastic, a complete joy. The jokes fall a little flat at times but the gameplay is fucking incredible. If they put a little more XCOM or just something that isn't collecting coins in between the battles, it'd be the best one of these turn based tactical RPGs ever.
The movement idea is so good and the more you use it the more you realise you can do with it. Thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyable. Even the storyline intro movie put a smile on my face.
Just got one of these reserved. Don't know if they'll honour it as it's obviously a mistake but it'll be worth the spin later to see.

Don't buy an Xbox. If you're going to get a console, get a PS4.
Ah didn't see that. No way they'll honor it.
They rang and cancelled the reservation, ah well. Was definitely a too good to be true.
What was it meant to be? 399.99?
Given the mistake was still on their website when I looked at this thread at 1, I'd have thought some people will have got away with it.
It's still on there now.
Christ, that's sloppy.
I didn't even check again. What the fuck are they playing at?
Everybody's Golf

Well this looks lovely.
Life is all about the wait for Divinity: Original Sin 2 at the moment though. A pity I'll not get to play it with a full foursome.
I'd forgotten about it, which has really been the only way to resist trying it out before it's finished.
From the previews I was all-in for the corpse-eating elves but now I've heard about the undeads I'm torn as to what I'll play as.
Games Done Quick are doing a livestream marathon in aid of the Hurricane Harvey victims

Ive got a call of duty ww2 beta key for the ps quad if anyone wants it
Marathoned Tales From the Borderlands today. Really, really good. I might place it up there with Walking Dead Season 1. Nolan North and Troy Baker both had indistinguishable "No, no, no, no!" moments which annoyed me. Aside from that, it's a cool story about friendship and Loader Bot is amazing.
So on this week's TGC2 tournament I got -5, -10, -6, -14. How in the fuck do I go from a -6 to a -14 next round on the same course
Picked up Everybody's Golf yesterday and had a quick go through the tutorial bit, can't believe I forgot how bright and loud everything is, complete overload. This must be like when Amish people go to Vegas.
In the Golf Club 2, how do you hit the ball hard? I can understand that you have to work up your profile to better skills/clubs/etc, but I'm getting perfect for backswing and downswing and my drives are landing within 100 yards which is making it basically unplayable. You can't judge distance at all with the other clubs as you've to just go 4 or 5 clubs longer than the distance shows and hope for the best.
Knack 2 coming out hard with the 69 (nice) metacritic.
The amount of money Sony has poured into that franchise is hilarious.
On Everybody's Golf I beat a schoolgirl in match play, so of course now I can wear her uniform as a prize. Japan
When you say "beat"...?
I bought it but I don't want to be put on a list :\
That ship has surely sailed.
Its a fucking incredible game. My character is so black the game can barely pick him up in cutscenes.
Where I struggled with Golf Club I seem to be pretty decent at this already, I don't know if it's holding my hand through the early stages or less likely, I've just got the innate skills that come with being a veteran of the golf game, all the way back to this work of art
What a game WCL was
I've binned TGC2 until I buy a game controller. A good few things I've read says that it's a lot more playable than with a mouse.
Yeah using a mouse is a crapshoot unless you drop your dpi to insanely low levels
I feel sorry for those suckers who just win a green jacket for winning golf
If anyone asks, it's a kilt.
