I can't comment on Phonics' behalf, but I keep coming into the thread because I'm the person primarily concerned with dishing out infractions. That may seem a bit jittery, but since three of the top four posters in the thread have, respectively, had a catastrophic break from reality and spammed a thread with abuse for someone who'd done nothing, repeatedly and maliciously spoiled things for other users, and spent six months operating multiple accounts with which he argued with himself in threads he'd created to discuss topics he'd chosen, I think it's justified.

'Breakdown' here tends to mean a huge overreaction, and your reaction to both of the things you've described there is a huge overreaction.
